The first mid-engine Corvette since the model's introduction in 1953, the C8 represents a huge shift for the Corvette in terms of design, featuring all-new aluminum architecture, more aggressive aerodynamics, and a mid-mounted LT2 V8 engine. This single-owner 2020 C8 convertible comes finished in Black over a Morello Red leather interior. It was sold new by Criswell Chevrolet of Maryland and came factory equipped with the 3LT Premium equipment package, Z51 Performance Package, carbon fiber ground effects and interior trim, front suspension lift, premium staggered wheels, Magnetic Ride Control, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing just under 1k miles on its odometer.
The C8 uses a three-layer multi-material structure for the frame and body made from aluminum alloy and carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic bonded composites. This example comes finished in Black with Sterling Silver full-length racing stripes and Shadow Grey exterior accents. It features a rear wing, aggressive side skirts, and a larger front splitter as part of the Z51 package, as well as a dealer-installed visible carbon fiber ground effects kit. A power retractable body-colored hardtop is standard and can be retracted using the remote key fob. Other features include LED headlamps, power heated and folding side mirrors with auto-dimming for the driver's side, Edge Red painted brake calipers, and a set of staggered 19” front and 20” rear aluminum wheels finished in Grey.
Inside, you will find a Morello Red leather interior with premium carbon fiber trim, which is highlighted by a pair of 8-way power adjustable GT2 bucket seats as part of the 3LT trim package. Other features include a Bose Performance Series 14-Speaker Audio System, Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium System with Navigation, a Head-Up Display, a Performance Data and Video Recorder, and a microfiber-wrapped steering wheel.
Power comes from a mid-mounted naturally aspirated LT2 6.2 L V8 engine that sends 490 HP and 470 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a Tremec 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that provides acceleration from 0-60 MPH in under 3 seconds. Equipped with the optional Z51 Package, this Corvette also features sport-tuned brakes, suspension, exhaust, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and a heavy-duty cooling system for a significant boost in performance. It also features Magnetic Ride Control and an optional front axle lift system with memory.
