Up for auction is this 2020 Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder finished in Carrara White Metallic over a Black leather interior with Alcantara. Based on the Cayman GT4 and using its powerful naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine, the 718 Boxster Spyder provides a visceral open-air driving experience with a 6-speed manual transmission. This 2020 example comes equipped with optional heated seats, the Bose Surround Sound System, Apple CarPlay, and Satin Platinum painted wheels. Sold new in California, this Spyder currently resides with its second owner in Texas where it is now being offered for auction showing approximately 11k miles on the odometer.
This 718 comes finished in Carrara White Metallic and rides on factory 20” GT4 wheels finished in Satin Platinum with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The Spyder is characterized by a ducktail rear spoiler, aerodynamic rear diffuser, GT4 front fascia, and signature double streamliners over the rear section. The seller notes the full front end has been preserved under clear paint protection film and the car has reportedly never seen track use, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with optional black leather covering the steering wheel and shift knob. OEM carbon fiber accents have been added to the dashboard and enter console along with OEM red seatbelts, door pulls, and a matching Chrono Package dial. Factory options include the Bose Surround Sound System, heated seats, and Apple CarPlay with Siri.
The 718 Spyder offers up to 414 HP from a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine shared with the Cayman GT4. A 6-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH of approximately 4 seconds. The Spyder comes standard with a sport exhaust system, shortened gear lever, lowered PASM suspension, the Chrono Package, and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with mechanically locking rear differential. The seller reports all routine maintenance to have been kept up to date and CARFAX shows service completed by Porsche Austin in October of 2021 at 10,535 miles.
This sale will include a set of two keys, owners manuals, a car cover, and a clean title (lien).

Great car! Almost local to me as well. Hmmmm.......
Those YouTube reviewers just copy comments each others. I love the way it is now for a few good reasons: 1. I can hold my 2nd breath longer in higher RPM on some twistiest, when it is not a good moment or not enough road to go 3rd. 2. High speed down shift 3 to 2 and auto rev match is so sweet, a short 2nd is not going to make it. 3. I can always shift to 3 at 3k or higher, enough and even torque for 3rd to pick up. You don’t have to rev to 7k to gear shift, but it is there for you!
@GvsSkier thanks, that's a great perspective ... from someone with experience, :)
@clemsonkev I use my cars as Porsche intended which I learned from Euro Delivery and if you own or had seat time in late model GT3 you will notice the Spyder gearing is taller. So, if you track your cars or other closed circuit driving you will adjust to the taller gearing. However, on the road the gearing is perfect…taller for eating up miles to get to your favourite twisties and then short throw and perfect heel and toe pedal arrangement. The car is brilliant.
Bid in the amount of $82,500
@clemsonkev I haven't even noticed it,,, non issue for me.....best shifting/ short throw transmission I've driven,, and the auto blip feature is genius .. makes you feel like a professional driver of a manual..:)
Bid in the amount of $82,222
can you comment on the long second gear? many reviewers say it is too long and doesn't need 3rd gear until ~85mph. How much is that really an issue for those of us that love rowing our own gears?
@650max GOOD AM.. had pcar update pic of build sheet, (original comes with car) and also, the new DME report from Porsche Austin south, fyi..:)
@650max I already sent the build sheet to pcar.. hadn't realized they didnt post it.. I'll have them do that Monday am.. also, pcar said they help handle the transaction, one payment to lien, (which they have info )and one to me, seller.. and make arrangements for title to go directly to buyer when funds received. thanks for your interest..:)
Could you include Monroney or a build sheet? Also how do you plan to satisfy the lien so the buyer has a clear title?
@Calelvis PS.. and... I haven't sold it yet....:)
@GvsSkier I'M ORDERING A NEW ONE..:) JUST HOPE I CAN GET IT...:)
This is the 2nd 718 ‘20 Spyder in recent auctions and while I’d love to ask why are people selling after only 2 driving seasons I guess it is just how car people roll. Mine is a ‘21 with heated seats and steering wheel and it is a go to favourite in our stable. We used up the OEM Michelins with some track time and auto cross and replaced with Pirelli for a bit more reliability on roads. The gearing is a bit tall for short tracks but it’s obviously excellent for road duty. The top is easy peasy to put up or down in a couple of mins. The storage is excellent for two people for a week or more road trip. My only niggle is the exhaust flappers and I’m looking at a plug in solution to defeat OEM programming. These 718 Spyders may be the best all around sports car period!
Bid in the amount of $72,020
