Porsche Motorsports honored the Porsche Club of America in 2018 by producing a limited run of five special-edition 911 GT3 Cup race cars. Designated as the 3rd example in the series, this PCA Edition is based on the model campaigned in international one-make racing that season and is engineered for uncompromising track performance. It features lightweight composite bodywork, a motorsports-focused cockpit, and a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six paired with a pneumatically activated 6-speed sequential gearbox. Finished in the PCA’s signature Club Racing livery, this highly collectible example is now being offered for auction in Massachusetts, accompanied by various spare parts.
Each PCA Edition is finished in one of two distinct color schemes, with this example presented in White (C9A) with contrasting Club Blau accents. The alternative configuration features the same colors in reverse. Designed for track performance, it features polycarbonate windows, vented GT3 RS carbon fiber front fenders, a carbon fiber “double-bubble” roof panel with an FIA safety hatch, and carbon fiber GT3 R doors and mirrors. Aerodynamics are enhanced by a larger GT3 front splitter, an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing, and underbody paneling. This PCA Edition rides on 18” center-lock wheels in Club Blau with contrasting red stripes, and the sale includes two sets of factory wheels.
The stripped-down, lightweight interior is reinforced by an FIA-certified weld-in roll cage. Driver-focused accommodations include a single Recaro carbon fiber racing bucket seat with fore/aft adjustment, an ergonomic center console, an adjustable steering column with a steering angle sensor, and 6-point safety harnesses. A flat-bottom Alcantara steering wheel integrates race controls and paddle shifters, while a Cosworth LCD color display provides vital information. Additional racing features include a fire suppression system and a built-in air jack system.
The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six features dry-sump lubrication, variable cam phasing, a single-mass flywheel, and a Supercup exhaust with twin tailpipes. Producing 485 HP, it delivers power to the rear wheels through a Porsche 6-speed sequential dog-type transmission with pneumatic gearshift activation, a triple-disc metal racing clutch, and a mechanical differential lock. Performance is further enhanced by a fully adjustable racing suspension with spherical bearings and a 12-way adjustable Bosch M4 ABS dual-circuit brake system, featuring 6-piston front and 4-piston rear aluminum monobloc calipers. The sale includes a collection of spare parts, as listed below:
This PCA Edition GT3 Cup is offered with a bill of sale.
The seller would like you to know: “I own a Porsche race shop located in the Northeast. 20+ years of experience supporting Porsche race cars. I am consigning this car for a client from his private collection.”

Petertraphagen80, you’re gonna love this move up, I originally went from a 2005 Cup car to a 2018 and it was quicker and much easier to drive with not having to worry about shifting manually or over revving the engine, I used to jump from a 718 RSK to a GTP car on some week ends and that was a wild transition !
Sold for $188,000
Im sorry you missed out I feel its a great car to replace my 2005 996 cup.

@Lexday47, here are the auction prices and dates for car #2 and #6
Car#2, only 857km, sold Dec 2023 for $200K on BaT
Car#6, 8400km, sold Nov 2024 for $177K on BaT
Modern race cars tend to depreciate, so I would expect this to end closer to Car#6
Car has 8.5hrs, 1626km, see pic 39. The 100hr refers to the factory recommended engine rebuild
Sorry trying to sift through the mess below. Engine has 8 or 100hrs on it? What about gearbox?
Harness, fire bottle, fuel cell, window net are expired.
Who has maintained the car throughout its life? Your shop?

@NLE We didn't install them. I assume its a simple alignment issue. As you can see in the picture the tips are separate vs the muffler which has a fixed location for the tips. Thanks I will take a closer look.
@frog4life Just uploaded a picture of the center dash. Its basically all the driver controls. ABS, turn signals, power, fuel pumps, rain light,ETC.
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@kmotorcompany - the supercup pipes from the underbody photos are misaligned at the tip. Can you please explain? Did the car have rear end damage?
I track my GT3 regularly, but I'm lost when looking at all the switches on this car. What are some of the purposes of all the switches and buttons? Sorry for the NOOB question.
@Lexday47 Well said!! Its a ton of car for the money. With only 8H is just broken in!! Thanks for the comment.
With a 100 hour motor and a 60 hour gearbox this car has hardly been used,a new one is probably north of 300k now and you get 0 spares with the purchase. These are wonderful to drive and it takes a moron to hurt the engine or gearbox. As far as costs parts aren’t inexpensive for sure but you could essentially go for a race weekend with one helper to assist with loading and unloading, wheel torqueing, fetching fuel etc. This should bring close to at least 200K
@Ecosse911 Harness is expired. Fuel cell is original, seat expires in 2027, fire bottle expired in 2021, window net 2022. If you plan on PCA club racing the car the only system you will have to get up to date is the race harness.
Bid in the amount of $99,120
Can you provide expiration on all safety equipment, fuel cells, seat, harness, nets and fire bottle. Thanks

@ko40116 The car had a minor incident the front bumper replaced. The previous shop safety wired the lower splitter on. The driver went over a curb and the splitter didn't release as designed and torn the mounting tabs off the bumper. The Right radiator was also damaged and needed to be replaced.
@Raposa Kilometers
@GroupCCuration there is PPF on both door handles. The pictures its hard to tell.
@Fridge_Monster The car has 8H. Never raced wheel to wheel only open track events. Nothing major for damage the front bumper and right side radiator was replaced from a minor track off. The car is as close to perfect as a race car gets. You would be hard pressed to find another 991.2 in this condition.
How many hours on the engine? Where there any rebuilds done, engine or transmission? If raced wheel to wheel, was it part of any collision or contact? Any damages at all?
Bid in the amount of $40,000
I second the prior damage question. Is the whole car covered in PPF? Comparing the door handle photos(16 and 17), it looks like the driver side is and passenger is not. Can you please clarify? Thank you! These are very cool cars.
Bid in the amount of $17,777
Bid in the amount of $15,000
Any accidents no matter how minor?
Is it in Kilometers or Miles?
