Now available for auction is this 2018 Superlite GT-R finished in Ford Race Red with Frozen White racing stripes over a black leather and Alcantara interior. Using the body molds from Robertson Racing's Ford GT endurance race car, the GT-R is a high-performance component car manufactured by Superlite of Detroit based around an all-aluminum semi-monocoque chassis. This particular Superlite GT-R was assembled and finished by Allan Zakari of Connecticut, a well-known builder in the Superlite community. It derives power from a Ford Coyote 5.0L V8 with a 2.9L Whipple supercharger that produces a claimed 840 HP on 93 octane fuel. It was also specified with staggered-diameter Forgestar wheels, a Bundle of Snakes exhaust manifold connected to Magnaflow mufflers, a custom cold air intake system, mechanically actuated doors, an InfinityBox power system, a Vintage Air air conditioning system, and more. Having traveled less than 100 miles since the completion of the build, this 2018 Superlite GT-R is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
The fiberglass bodywork is finished in Ford Race Red (PQ) with Le Mans-style over-the-top racing stripes in Frozen White. The all-aluminum monocoque tubular hybrid chassis features full TIG-welding and billet machined aluminum suspension mounts and a 6-point roll cage. Exterior equipment includes authentic power-adjustable Ford GT mirrors, solid rear glass, a genuine Ford GT windscreen, a custom vented hood, a carbon-fiber front splitter, red brake calipers, and encapsulated Hella projector headlights. The doors, rear clamshell, and hood are all mounted with mechanical actuators that operate via remote key fob. This GT-R rides on 19”/20” Forgestar CF5V wheels mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The interior features two carbon-fiber-backed Sparco bucket seats with leather bolsters, Alcantara centers, harness pass-throughs, and custom-made sliders. Custom-made components include a center console with a subwoofer box between the seats, a Cable-SHiFT gated side shifter, and Vintage Air A/C controls, as well as custom H-Craft three-piece Ford GT-Style door cards, H-Craft fiberglass inner door sills, a fiberglass headliner, and carpeted fiberglass rear bulkhead. The dashboard is finished in soft-touch paint and houses chrome-trimmed instrumentation. A single din stereo head unit is connected to door-mounted speakers and tweeters, and an Audiovox Pro rearview mirror features both front and rear-facing cameras.
Power is supplied by a 5.0L Ford Coyote V8 derived from the sixth-generation Mustang GT, which has been fitted with a 2.9L Whipple supercharger including a custom 3.5 coolant tank. This engine is reported to produce up to 840 HP at the rear wheels through a 6-speed Graziano transaxle with 1.04 drop gears. Performance features include a custom Bundle of Snakes exhaust system with catalytic converters and Magnaflow mufflers, an InfinityBox CANBUS power system, a custom cold-air intake system, custom-made engine mounts, 4-piston front and rear Brembo brake calipers with vented Brembo rotors, and custom CNC-bent stainless steel brake lines, a custom Wilwood electronic parking brake, high-performance axles rated up to 1,000 HP, and twin electric fans with a custom aluminum radiator.
This sale will include a clean title. Offering the looks of a GT endurance race car coupled with blistering performance, this professionally-built Ford-powered Superlite GT-R is ready for a new owner to grab the wheel.

@jjensen - according to the owner: "Constructed of aluminum alloy, this center-mounted tank holds about 19.2 gallons. Comes equipped with all required bungs and a welded aluminum adapter plate for the custom fuel-level sender included in the kit."
Hello, what can you tell us about the fuel tanks, location, size, filler tube and if they have bladders ? How are they switched from right to left ?

@jjensen - you are right, 06 GT.
Hello, does this car more resemble a 1966 GT-40 or a first generation 2006 Ford GT in dimensions and weight ? It seems the later, especially the way the rear clamshell is designed.
@RonSusser Thank you...I am 6' 6" - oh well! Thanks you...best wishes!
@Zajackso - unfortunately, there is no dyno sheet available (just the video). Yes, there is a nose lift system that lifts approx. 4 inches in height.
@dobird92 - car was completed in late 2020. Car was started and run periodically and always on a battery tender.
@foxtrot - owner is 6 ft tall and fits fine - he feels that 6ft 3in would be pushing it.
@turbos7903 - owner planned on keeping the car but a business opportunity arose.
Can you upload the dyno sheet? Is there a nose lift system installed? How far does it lift?
Bid in the amount of $8,000
When was the build actually completed? How long has the car been sitting? What has been done to maintain the car during time of no use?
Curious. What is the upper limit for drivers height (or length)? I have been to H's shop in Georgia - he is a true craftsman - intriguing car. Good luck!
Why does the owner want to sell after just 100 miles and likely one year to build?
Hello Enthusiasts - I predict that this will be a very exciting auction because this is a very exciting car. Be sure to watch (and listen to) the attached videos. Please note that the location of the vehicle is Lancaster, PA and it is titled privately. Happy to answer any and all questions.
