@Stuttgart_911 I can most certainly try my best to fix it with carfax never done it before but 100% willing to work with the buyer on fixing it. Also no paintwork was done on the car it’s original paint. Also please check front lower bumper rock chips I pointed out.

  • Stuttgart_911 (registered bidder) 11 months, 2 weeksago

@ab_nyc2 - Very nice Macan. It looks like this Macan was last titled with 52,111 miles in 2022 in Arizona. That may likely result in a the next title issued being Not Actual Mileage or will be non sequential as the current mileage is less than 52k miles. Will you be correcting the mileage inconsistency with Carfax and Autocheck or will that be left up to the buyer? Also, @PPP.GT3 had inquired into the paintwork. Able to determine if any panels have been refinished?

@FlyingM I drove it conservatively getting 22 but putting my foot down having fun with the car for two days I got between 19-20 on the highway. Not too sure what the city consumption is because I usually drive it no more than 2 to 3 miles in the city. Everything is really local so it’s hard to get a real read of the city consumption.

  • FlyingM (registered bidder) 11 months, 2 weeksago

@ab_nyc2 if you keep your foot out of it, what kind of gas mileage does this get?

  • PPP.GT3 (registered bidder) 11 months, 2 weeksago

Thank you. Where is the car sitting now?

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 2 weeksago

@PPP.GT3 sorry I can’t go to the dealer just to get a pre-inspection at the moment. They charge $250 at my local Porsche dealership that’s why I put the car up the Jack to check any leaks or anything. The car initially was suppose to be exported for a client but I missed the deadline to have the car ship out in the container and since the deadline pass the country receiving the car would charge the client extra in Texas because it’s pass the 5 year age restriction they have. The car was specifically sourced for the client since it’s a rare find. My business model is before any car goes out I do an inspection ensuring everything works because it’s cheaper for me to give it to the specialist I work with than have a client take the car to Porsche. I can do that this weekend if the car doesn’t meet the reserve price and send over picture. But car has 0 leaks I won’t sell a car that has problem and get sued at the end of the day.

Car was initially registered to the owner company before transferring the title to his personal name. The service record dated from 2019 till 2023 shows the same name as the owner. I assume it was a tax advantage at the time buying it under the company. I cannot verify the car was garage kept but it currently is being garage kept.

Let me contact the admin and see how I can upload photos of the trunk without the weather mat

  • PPP.GT3 (registered bidder) 11 months, 2 weeksago

I really like the car. I was hoping you would take the car to a Porsche Dealership to have for a full pre inspection. Has the car had any paint work done?
Can you remove the under carriage panel and take pictures to verify no leaks? Can you remove the weather tech cargo mat to show the condition of the cargo area carpet? Are you the second owner? Has the car been garage by both owners? Did you by the car from an auction? Thank you.

@ab_nyc2 The condition is not with the timing chain. It's with the timing chain cover. Oil changes have nothing to do with it. The concern affects Macans through model year 2018. To detect if there is any seepage or leaking, the underbody panels need to be removed. In looking under the car without removing the panels, the problem most likely would not be detectable. The issue in question is specific to the Macan - not any other Porsche models - and specific in the Macan with the 2.8L and 3.6L engines.

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@PPP.GT3 Forgot to mention the car doesn't need brakes or Rotors. The Rotors were replaced at 30k miles. The brakes have 70% life left. No oil leaks. Another oil change would need to be done in early summer but you have time on that as well. I work with a local Porsche specalist on Cayennes and Macans and his prices are a little more than half off whatever the dealer charges. Any additional service you'd like to do can be done with him before having the car transported out.

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@PPP.GT3 No inspection from Porsche dealership directly. The Tires have 7.5/32" life in the front and 8/32" on the back. All 4 tires are Michelin. Front are "265/40R21" and the back are "295/35R21" Pilot Sport 4s

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Ironman88 I personally went under the car and there were no oil leaks. The timing chain cover problem is common on early models of the Macan. I haven't heard of it being a cmmon problem on later version. The root cause of why timing chain goes bad is from lack of oil change. From the carfax report the car has constantly been up to date on the maintain thus I see the timing chain to be a common on this car if you keep up with the maintain just like any other car. I've owned multiple Porsches in the past 15 years and never had any problems with any of the car besides the early 90's.

  • Ironman88 11 months, 3 weeksago

The timing chain cover on these models has been very common source of trouble - specifically, the bolts are over-torqued at the factory causing the timing cover to not seal properly resulting in leaks. These leaks are often not found because of the under-body panels that catch the seepage. Has this Macan been inspected for the condition, or better yet, serviced for the condition?

  • MyWifeSaidOkay (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@PPP.GT3 pics show Pilot Sport 4 S tires, and CarFax shows them being replaced/installed at 43k miles.

  • PPP.GT3 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Did you have a pre inspection performed at a Porsche dealership. This would be helpful. It would be nice to know what the car will need once purchased. Tires? Brakes, Rotors etc.
What are you running for tires?
    Thx

  • eshaile (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

    @ab_nyc2 - I think the Cayenne is a Tiptronic, not a PDK.

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Tondtar I think 2k is a lot to say since brakes were flushed already and carfax shows spark plug replaced not too long ago. Pdk service for a macan varies at Porsche dealer. But for my cayenne I had a Porsche specialist bill me $300 for oil/filter on the pdk last year.

  • Tondtar (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@ab_nyc2 Thanks for the quick reply and information. The car looks well taken care of but I still think it's a bit overdue for a PDK service recommended at 40K. IMO, the lucky buyer should allow an additional $2K budget to bring all Presche-recommended services up to date. Neglecting crucial ones like PDK service would be a shame for such a unique and beautifully spec'd car.

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Tondtar Oil change was done every 10k miles and regularly changed the air filter every time they went for an oil change. Brake fluid was flushed in 2021 and 2023. No pdk service done yet from the data I was able to retrieve at Porsche and the local mechanic shop.

  • Tondtar (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Great looking car with a fantastic option package.

Do you have any more information on Porsche's recommended 10K-20K-40K services being done to the car? Is any PDK service done at 40K? The CarFax report shows quite minimal details on services done to this car.

  • RumbleAuto (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

As others have correctly stated, the Performance Package is extremely rare on Macan Turbos and is very special. The addition of high gloss black trim is an added enhancement for visual effect. You could look a very long time for a Macan equipped like this, as there aren't many and they just don't come up for sale all too often. GLWTA!

  • RennStout (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@seller thanks for the quick reply!

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@RennStout Car is no longer under warranty but Porsche has extended the transfer case warranty 7 years from the purchase date. *Macan – Model Year 2014 Through Model Year 2018 – Warranty Extended to 7 Years With Unlimited Mileage*

  • RennStout (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

I see the warranty work listed in the description, is this still under CPO? If so until when?

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@charlie3long Thanks for sharing the detail regarding the production. I was unable to find how many were imported in North America. There is only 1 for sale on the East Coast with a lower sticker than this. My favorite option that was added on the car is the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) which is needed on a SUV like this otherwise you'll lose grip and control of the car.

  • charlie3long 11 months, 3 weeksago

The Turbo Performance Package is the fastest and most powerful Macan to date — and very, very rare.

Only 307 total were imported to North America in its two year production span: 122 in 2017 and 185 in 2018. Only 307 out of 64,333 total Macans (<0.5%).

The single reason it wasn’t labeled “Turbo S” is because it didn’t come with PDCCs as standard, though they were optional. It had upgraded brakes from the regular Turbo model, +40 hp and +37 lb-ft, and nearly all performance options as standard.

The upcoming Macan will likely feature hybrid and/or electric powertrains, especially the high performance models. Making this the ultimate ICE Macan!

  • RipCity (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@scalemotorsport I have a slightly later version of these wheels, also in 21" with the bright front and dark finished surface behind. At time of purchase, I was vacillating between these and the spider wheels, but have been SO SO glad I picked these. They look larger due to design vs. Spider, have a nice deep dish effect at the rear (they are massive), and you don't see them on every other Macan and Cayenne, or even more vintage cars with smaller wheels (like porsches and bmws with BBS, and such). These are a highlight of this Macan, for sure. Good luck.

  • RipCity (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Turns out that was a real softball question, eh? Congrats on making the most of it, @ab_nyc2 !

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Scalemotorsport The front face is aluminum and inside the edges is black. These are stock 911 rims that came with the car. All Macan Turbo Performance package will come with the 911 set wheels. If you buy any other Macan they are sold at different price depending on the trim level.

  • Scalemotorsport (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@ab_nyc2 one other question, the spec sheet calls out "Black Wheels" are the wheels in the photo portfolio referred to as "black" or is there a second set of wheels that come with the car? Thanks

  • Scalemotorsport (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@ab_nyc2 okay thanks for the explanation

  • ab_nyc2 (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Scalemotorsport The Macan Turbo is equip with 400hp, but the Turbo Performance package is a trim higher than the turbo pushing out 440hp. Porsche objective behind the Turbo Performance Package was to enhance the driving experience and elevate the Macan turbo's capability in term of power, handling and overall driving dynamics catering to enthusiasts and drivers seeking an even more spirited driving experience.

Here are the key differences between the Macan Turbo and Turbo Performance Package.

    1) Increased Power: The Turbo Performance Package typically offers a higher output of horsepower by 10% compared to the standard Macan Turbo. It often includes engine tuning or enhancements that boost the power output, resulting in improved acceleration and overall performance.

    2) Enhanced Performance: Alongside increased power, the Performance Package might include modifications or upgrades to the suspension, brakes, exhaust system, or other components. These enhancements aim to improve handling, agility, and overall driving dynamics, making the vehicle more responsive and engaging to drive.

    3) Distinct Design Elements: Sometimes, performance-oriented packages come with visual differentiators. This might include unique exterior styling elements, special badging, specific wheel designs, or interior enhancements that set the Turbo Performance Package apart from the regular Macan Turbo.

    4) Customization and Options: The Performance Package might also offer additional options or customization choices that are not available in the standard Macan Turbo. These could range from performance-related upgrades to interior amenities or technology features tailored to enhance the driving experience further.

    5) Driving Experience: Overall, the Turbo Performance Package is designed to provide a more thrilling and dynamic driving experience. It aims to appeal to drivers who prioritize higher performance and sharper handling characteristics in their vehicle.

  • Scalemotorsport (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

The 2018 Macan Turbo came with 400hp, not 440hp, unless the owner did something to the engine to up the HP. Can we get some clarity on this? Perhaps I missed something? Thanks
