Introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the updated 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 featured a new 4.0-liter flat-six engine with a 9,000 rpm redline and revised aerodynamic bodywork providing a 20% increase in downforce. This 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 is finished in Rhodium Silver Metallic over a Black leather and Alcantara interior with red stitching. It comes equipped with a 7-speed PDK transmission, optional Full Bucket Seats, Sport Chrono Package, Front Axle Lift System, an extended-range fuel tank, Anthracite Brushed Aluminum trim, Bose Surround Sound System, an aftermarket roll bar, racing safety harnesses, Girodisc brake rotors, and a GMG muffler delete. This GT3 was purchased by the seller from their friend and original owner in 2021 and has been fortified with a replacement engine and transmission. Supported by an extended warranty for the next 3 years, this GT3 is now being offered for auction out of North Carolina with approximately 37k miles showing on the odometer.
This GT3 is finished in Rhodium Silver Metallic and features custom matte black vinyl racing stripes and rear stone guard decals. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, LED taillights, a front lip spoiler, side skirts, a fixed rear wing, dual center-mounted tailpipes, and red brake calipers mounted behind silver 20” GT3 center-lock wheels. The CARFAX report shows minor damage to the right front and right rear sides in 2018, and the seller indicates the passenger side rear quarter has been refinished. Clear paint protection film is applied to the front half of the hood, headlights, forward roof, and side mirrors. The car was subjected to track use under previous and current ownership and some signs of wear are present on the lower rocker panels, rear wheels, and windshield as well as small rock chips on the hood. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features Black leather and Alcantara upholstery accented by red stitching and Anthracite Brushed Aluminum trim pieces. Equipment includes optional carbon fiber Full Bucket Seats with Porche-crested headrests, an aftermarket roll bar, Schroth racing harnesses, Alcantara three-spoke steering wheel with a red top center marker, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, WeatherTech rubber floor liners, a fire extinguisher, a luggage net in the passenger footwell, automatic climate control, Bose Surround Sound System, Voice Control, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The seller notes creasing on the lower driver’s seat bolster and a line on the driver’s door trim piece. The original Porsche-branded carpet floor mats are included in the sale.
Rated at 500 HP and 339 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. The 991.2 GT3 comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), rear-axle steering, and a Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) differential. This example has been modified with Girodisc brake rotors, Ferodo DS3.12 brake pads, and a GMG muffler bypass. The original exhaust components are included in the sale. The seller indicates the PDK transmission was replaced in the late 20k-mile range after failing on the race track, and a new engine was installed in December 2023 approximately 4k miles ago due to oil pump failure. The car is covered under an extended factory warranty for the next 3 years.
This sale will include a window sticker, the original exhaust components, carpet floor mats, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car has been the vehicle that has turned me into a lifelong Porsche owner. It’s been driven the way it should be, and I really hope its new owner will continue using it the way I have and the way Porsche intended it to be used. This car will make you look and feel like a superhero on the track. It’s a true joy to drive and the extended warranty means you can drive it as hard as you want for the next 3 years worry-free. I’m sad to see it go but I’m moving on to a GT4 RS to try something a little different.”

@pnw-porsche parking lot incident. Bumper and passenger front quarter panel replaced. Happened when the car was brand new. Happened before I owned the vehicle
@wjgarris or @Lkbtwins - Any additional details about the accident listed on the carfax? Looks like damage to the front and rear passenger side.
@Cayman40 so I tend to get the car realigned every other track day. I would recommend adjusting it to your driving style. I have the front camber pushed as far as I can go without having to resort to shims. Rear alignment I’ve gravitated towards less rear negative camber as I was chewing my inner rear tires up way too quickly

@BobbyG the repairs were done 7 years ago and before I owned the car. I do not have photos
@BobbyG It’s had 3 track weekends on the new engine. Before that I couldn’t say but a good amount. My hope is that whoever buys this car will continue to track it and experience the car to its fullest while having the assurance of a full warranty for the next 3 years
Do you have pictures of the repairs? And any estimate of track time?

Good morning, I am the original owner having owned 911 since 1984. The car was meticulously cared for. Oil changes every 2500 miles or after every fifth day on the track. I am a national instructor since 2017 for PCA and a lot of my track days were primarily giving demonstration rides in slower run groups to demonstrate balance, breaking and steering, and not running to the red line every lap. Only race brake fluids were ever used in this car, regularly checked for metal in the oil when oil changes occurred. Ceramic coating updated quarterly. Brake pads were carefully watched and replaced well before worn out as were disc. I am sure there are a few GT-3‘s. That have seen track time that have been cared for any better. Cheers to all you’ll be lucky to own this car, Kenny.

@ARC944 Also the rust on them is just because the car had been cleaned and not driven when the picture was taken.
@Puddinhead Porsche wilmington did the motor drop and replacement
@ARC944 A handful of times. The nice thing about the girodiscs is you don't have to replace the whole thing. You can just order replacement discs without the hats. It makes rotor replacement much cheaper. And yes I would say the brake pads and rotors have 2-3 more track weekends left on them
Did GMP drop motor ?
Those rotors look like they’ve seen better days. Have they ever been replaced?

@uncleben thanks for the reply. I was just logging in to preemptively post about the repairs. So the PDK had a failure on track. Developed a leak that didn’t translate into any issues with driving but I was James Bond smoke screening everyone on track and got black flagged. This was replaced under the original warranty. 15 months ago I had a primary oil pump failure. Had the engine pulled and there was metal in the oil so had that replaced under the extended warranty it had currently. It was almost and 80k bill and my part was $1500 so I can vouch for the warranty. It was purchased through my Porsche dealer and expires in 3 years. It’s transferable and costs less than $50 to do so. I confirmed with the warranty company before putting the car for sale.
Can you tell us more about what kind of extended warranty you have? Is it OEM or aftermarket? Did you get the PDK and/or the engine replaced under the extended warranty, or original warranty? Thanks and GLWTA!
