Finished in the Paint to Sample color of Mint Green over a Black leather and Alcantara interior with Platinum Grey stitching, this 2018 Porsche 991.2 GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed GT Sport manual transmission. It was generously equipped from the factory including optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Full Bucket Seats, seatbelts in Silver Grey, extended leather upholstery, sun visors in Alcantara, a Porsche-logo storage compartment lid in Alcantara, illuminated stainless-steel door sills, Chrono Package, Bose Surround Sound System, Front Axle Lift System, satin black wheels, LED headlights in black, and more. The car became a viral sensation with its eccentric history, having been used as a widebody kit test mule, repossessed, and eventually discovered in a neglected state with evidence of someone having lived in it at one point. It was eventually purchased by the seller before being disassembled and completely restored to its original condition. Offered at no reserve, this remarkable GT3 is now available for auction out of Massachusetts with approximately 20k miles showing on the odometer.
This GT3 underwent repairs to remove the preexisting widebody modifications and has been completely refinished in its original Paint to Sample color of Mint Green. It came factory-equipped with optional LED headlights in black including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), auto-dimming mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, a fixed rear wing, dual center-mounted exhaust tips, yellow ceramic brake calipers, and 20” 911 GT3 center-lock wheels in satin black. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires showing production date codes from 2022 in the front and 2019 at the rear. The seller adds that the refinished exterior is preserved under full-body paint protection film. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior features Black leather and Alcantara upholstery, optional Full Bucket Seats, Anthracite Brushed Aluminum trim, and extended leather upholstery covering the dashboard and steering column casing. Other options include sun visors in Alcantara, an Alcantara storage compartment lid with a Porsche logo, seatbelts in Silver Grey, illuminated stainless-steel door sill guards, the Light Design Package, Bose Surround Sound System, Voice Control, and Chrono Package with Preparation for Lap Trigger. The car is also equipped with automatic climate control, cruise control, an Alcantara-wrapped GT Sport steering wheel, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM).
Producing up to 500 HP, the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed GT Sport manual transmission and a mechanically locking differential. The car is equipped with optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and an extended-range fuel tank. It comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), rear-axle steering, and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). The CARFAX report shows 15 service history records, and the seller indicates a thorough mechanical and safety inspection was completed since their purchase.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Internet-famous Mint Green GT3 Porsche! Finally, the wait is over....... This GT3 has had quite a ride in the last few years. From an owner with personal issues to getting repossessed, to an attempt to get a fabricated metal body kit installed. This GT3 has seen its share of days at auction, as well as dealers trying to sell it. Although there is a crazy backstory regarding this GT3, it’s still a GT3!!! One of Porsche's greatest cars, this GT3 is ready to find its forever home. We are glad to offer it up for sale to the highest bidder with this Full Disclosure NO RESERVE auction. After acquiring the GT3, we put it through mechanical and safety inspections, broke the vehicle down, and got the paint completely restored to its original glory. After all the process to bring it back to life in its original state, we have fully wrapped it in new PPF (Paint Protection Film). Although this Porsche has had many stories and dealers out there trying to sell it, it has never had any accidents, an attempt to weld a body kit was unsuccessful, therefore it was removed and brought back to its original. There are no mechanical issues with the car whatsoever and the vehicle performs as it should from the factory! We are the only Dealer with full disclosure and willing to provide all the pics from this GT3 journey!”

Congrats to all. I'd love to hear from the new owner, as you may be the first person in the last four years to have bought this car knowing the backstory, and I'd love to know what your plans are besides driving the wheels off of it.
Congrats targakid hope you have as much as fun in it as I did. It’s a real head turner
Congrats on the auction (seller and buyer)!
I still want to see the DME for this, just because of pure curiosity and has to be a first (at least for me) to see a manual sell without one.
@TargaKid17 Congrats on a super buy!
Sold for $160,888
@Sbani123 Tell me about it , oof LOL!
Surely this must be one of the world’s most angst inducing GT3’s!
Hi everyone, I want you all to know we are not a Porsche specialized shop nor have we ever claimed to be. We sell nice cars to great clients... Unfortunately once in a while we get caught with a story car that someone was not honest about ( shame on us ) . That being said, we took it on the chin, and spent a small fortune to make the car a nice car for the next owner. We have disclosed everything we knew about the car and everything we did to the car. We have been an open book, without trying to fool anyone about its history. To answer the DME question below, NO you CANNOT buy a scanner on Amazon and get a DME report. The car spent 3 days at a Porsche race shop and they tried with multiple computers to help us but could not. They stated any 911 newer that 2016 has been factory encrypted and requires a very specific Porsche computer to read the revs. Our salesperson, took the car to Porsche dealer a few hours ago an they have him waiting " for an opening" .. We truly tried to help answer all questions and meet all requests but we are a small family operation and only have so many resources to spare. I will leave you all with this, bid with confidence if you are looking for a beautiful driver! I personally enjoyed this car on a couple hundred mile road trip to Western Mass prior to the repaint job. It was absolutely amazing and had zero mechanical faults, noises, squeaks, etc... It was a wonderful experience. That being said, we cannot guarantee anything as far as the final outcome of any dme report ( when/if they finally help us ). This GT3 looks and drives beautifully and that is my honest experience with it. Needless to say we own the car for wayyyy too much, but high bidder takes her home no matter what. I hope it goes to someone that will enjoy it for many miles to come and that makes our loss a little more palatable at least. Our loss is absolutely someone's gain ! Good luck all, bid away!!!
@CRM925 the accounts were terminated at the discretion of our management
@seller “We should have the report uploaded before 12pm est.”
Am I missing something or has this still not been uploaded? I can get a fairly generic OBD scanner that can provide a DME report delivered same day by Amazon, and it’s taken you till the final hours of your auction… and you still haven’t posted anything? I truly don’t mean to be rude here but this is a frankly bizarre omission for a manual GT3 auction.
PCAR - a bit more clarity on the “terminated” accounts would be appreciated.
Obviously I was interested in the car, the money is a bit beyond where I think it’s worth in its condition outside of the story behind it, but now I’m glad I stopped where I stopped with no DME in sight and if the additional photos I saw were in fact real.
Bid in the amount of $160,888
@lessthan20characters Agreed! This will be the Porsche that everyone will gravitate to at car meets, FOR SURE! "Did you see the mint green GT3 over there?!?!" Forever known as THE green mint GT3; if you know, you know.
It won't be the one that wins all the prizes, but I guarantee you it will be the one that gets scrutinized by every self-proclaimed expert to assess the workmanship on the restoration and recount the history around it. Buyer - please personalize plate this one to "MTR HOME" :)!!

@pinnacleimports1 I’d guess you didnt sign up for all this drama! Whatever happens, you’ve been responsive and pretty patient in this auction. The genuine passion and knowledge in our Porsche community never ceases to amaze me! I hope everyone found this robust dialogue as constructive and informative as I have.
I’m wishing seller and buyer a friendly and worthwhile transaction. Buyer- please don’t let this car disappear into garage obscurity! We’re all invested and close with this car now, especially after this comment thread!
The accounts @Dutchman24 and @Thepunisher have been terminated as they have been maliciously created with intent to hurt this auction. This will not be tolerated on the platform and we kindly ask everyone to be tactful and play by the rules.
A new video has been added to the listing page.
Pcar Fam, we could not get the DME report after all with the shop we just took it to. They were able to give the car a clean bill of health, and we are posting a video of the scanner showing zero faults or stored codes. We have an appointment at our local Porsche dealer at 10am. We should have the report uploaded before 12pm est. Thank you all for your patience and interest!
@rennsport6 I’m curious how did you see the car in the last month that it was painted if it’s in our showroom that’s closed to the public? Please explain
Hi everyone, with 24 hours left in this auction we want to remind everyone you are welcome to come here in person or send someone to see, drive, inspect the car. There has been a lot of opinions etc back and forth, best way is to see for yourselves. Thank you all and good luck!
@rennsport6 Thank you for your feedback, you have seen the car at our facility since it has been repainted last month?
I've been painting cars for over 30 years, so I’ve seen my fair share of finishes. I had the chance to see the car in person, and I can tell you, the paint job definitely needs some attention. There’s a noticeable amount of orange peel across the surface, which is a sign of the paint not being properly sprayed or cured. On top of that, there are remnants of dust embedded in the finish. This suggests that the environment wasn’t controlled properly during the painting process, or the car wasn’t properly prepped before painting. Both issues will need to be addressed to get a smooth, professional-looking finish.
@simpsoap we were promised Monday but it looks like we aren’t getting it
@Goldsmith Definitely a car you can enjoy, super fun to drive!!! GLWTA
Still sitting at the $130s?!?! Almost 24 hours left! I need this to match my Lotus, and put on tons of miles. The BEST color. God tier spec for me.
@stefn1 Hi there, let me clear the paint questions. The car was painted by Peter Newell of Competition Specialties He is one the best custom car builders in the country, feel free to look his work up. Peter has been my friend and custom painter for over 30 years now so he helped me out with this car. The car was painted next door in his booth and the dolly the cars around for assembly into other bays of his shops. You will see all the vehicles in the shop are wrapped up when not being worked on because they have exposed motors , interiors, etc.. This is not a typical shop, it is for made to order custom six figure restomods. The paintwork on the car is absolutely beautiful, and I invite anyone to come examine the car for themselves. It definitely had a strange past to say the least but we feel it is now completely up to par and ready for a lucky new owner. This is not a " track car" by any stretch, this is now a solid beautiful PTS GT3 manual trans that car be enjoyed and will continue to climb in value even with the history and paintwork. I wish everyone looking luck with the auction, as it will sell to the highest bidder and I encourage you to bid with confidence! Thank you all!!
@cullenj94 Absolutely, will be ready this evening.
@pinnacleimports1 it was also mentioned the car was undergoing a "full health check" at the Porsche specialist.
Can those results be posted?
Its a shame it was painted on the floor of a mechanic shop and not in a proper body shop with a spray booth. Why not pull the passenger door off, the fuel door off and antenna for refinish as well. This car deserved better. Would make a great track car for someone.
@rescueswimmer Happy to hear you liked the drive and sound! The car truly is an amazing driver in every way. I personally put a 100 miles or so on her, and she ran 100% in every way!
@simpsoap We took the car to our local Porsche race shop in hopes they can get us a DME report. They state they may be able to do it with their computer, but there is a chance it is encrypted and then would have to go to Porsche. We will update about the report later today. Car comes with one key and no original window sticker. Thank you for the interest!
I bought two of these, and still retain one, this particular generation of GT3 ,is without question, a confluence of the best design and performance, Ever to exist in a driver’s car! Just asked Chris Harris, ……the 992 GT three may get you a better track time, but I’ve driven it. It is somewhat sterile, and shrill, looking at its exterior, and confusing on the inside, this 991.2 edition retains the beauty and fluidity at its exterior .while having the best performance of possibly any car in the history of cars ! It is visceral, immersive, and engaging on a level that I’ve never experienced in any car ever before! Please bear in mind, I’ve also driven and experienced the 997.2GT3RS back in the day, and it couldn’t hold a candle to the performance of this manual 991.2GT3! Pruniger fooled everyone, and made without question, the best drivers car that ever existed in this iteration, the only problem is he made a lot of of them! In the future, everyone will come to see exactly what car is and what it’s capable of, and appreciate it to its fullest, it may take some time, but it will happen, if you don’t know, now you know, read the forums it’s the insiders secret…….
I'm also curious about a DME report.
What about a build sheet or window sticker?
How many keys come with the car?
I test drove this car at RP Exotics about 5 months ago. IIRC it was listed at 189k but was looking for a track car, and after googling the VIN, I was looking more like 140K for its history but I'm sure they were in it for much more than that. It drove fine and sounded good.
@Locofeo thank you for appreciating her for what she is! At the end of the day It’s still a GT3
I kinda like it for the story! Pretty unique. And then honestly wouldn’t feel bad using it as a daily and driving it the way a GT3 was made to be driven! I mean any future door dings or rock chips; just respray her; no guilt, it’s already been done! GLWTA! She’s purrty!
@911nashville there are none of those issues with the car. The paint is fine again as stated before all questions have been answered multiple times. You’re welcome to schedule your own inspection if you like.
Bid in the amount of $131,000
@pinnacleimports1 any updates on the dme report?
I am curious to the paint quality. You mention it is 9/10 but it clearly seems as if it was painted in open air. This is why the cars around it are covered up and there's fans at the door. Is there trash or debris in the paint? Any fish eyes? Rock chips on front bumper, mirrors, or quarters? I am just concerned about the quality of the paint, seeing as it seems like an unprofessional shop
@simpsoap Thank you, she really is beautiful!
This car looks great, even given the history. Looks like it was put back together nicely.
Bid in the amount of $130,350
Bid in the amount of $130,000
@BobbyCaas we kindly ask that you take any further dialogue offline as it is now becoming repetitive. The seller has addressed all of your comments and the vehicle is available for in-person inspections form any bidders over the next 3 days prior to auction conclusion. Thank you.
@BobbyCaas -
Nice shot at me "trolling" the car. My trolling back in 2021 was one of the first public announcements of the history behind this car, which got picked up by Road & Track, and actually EXPOSED the dealer at the time (McLaren Charlotte) who was trying to sell the car without full disclosure. So while you're saying I was trolling the car, I was actually doing what you say in your posts that you wanted, which was preventing dealers from hiding the history.
Speaking of hiding the history, are you sure the reason you didn't answer my request for information on Aug 4, 2021 was because you were also guilty of what you're accusing every other dealer of? You're calling for transparency now, but while you state in an earlier post that Porsche denied the warranty claim on the transmission, you listed the car on Ebay in May of 2021 as “Transferable Porsche Certified Pre-Owned” (which is technically false anyway, as Porsche will void the CPO when a car is resold by an independent dealer), WITH the Porsche South Bay plate frame and plate insert, which easily could be inferred that it was a Porsche dealer selling a CPO unit.
Your auction description mentioned nothing about the previous damage that YOU fixed, and another respectable dealer I talked to said you offered the car to them during that timeframe and did not mention anything about the history - they had to find it out on their own.
Here's the entire text of your listing in May of 2021:
"2018 Porsche GT3 - 500HP 4.0 liter
Paint to Sample Mint Green
Leather/Alcantara interior with extended leather interior package.
Carbon LWB (lightweight bucket seats)
Front axle Lift
6-Speed Manual Transmission
PCCB (Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes)
Chrono Package
Illuminated Door sills
LED headlights with PDLS
Stock with exception of SOUL center muffler delete. Original muffler included in the sale. All recalls up to date."
I have absolutely no dog in this fight, other than having started covering this car back in 2021 and doing extensive research into the background of the car. The photos provided with the auction clearly show that the fenders were cut and would have needed to be replaced. The photos and inspection reports over the last few years at Manheim and by others clearly showed that the finished paintwork after Bobby had the car was not great. My podcasts clearly covered the lack of mechanical sympathy the 2nd owner had for the car. It's now been repainted again - not perfect, but good enough for what the car is. There should be no drama here, unless people have the wrong expectations of a car with this kind of history. It's a storied car, it will always be a storied car, and if you're buying it based on the DME, you're buying the wrong car.
I would advise any interested parties to have their OWN 3rd party inspection done, and for the seller to post a TrueFrame inspection to put minds at ease.
I have zero financial stake in the outcome of this auction.
Man this is becoming a soap Opera 🤣
@Spazaz88 the answer is very simple, it’s all there in the comments and the history of the car. There are no accidents ever reported in this car. If you follow all the comments and the history of the car the filler and any info stated by a previous owner is in regards to the addition and withdrawal of the welded body kit. Please also keep in mind, the previous owner that decided to chime in all this new info has never ever came forward and disclosed any of that info. So as you heard it for the first time so did we. There were many attempts for years to contact them to ask those questions, and they never shared any of this or responded to anyone attempting to contact them. Why they decided now is the right time to disclose all that well only they know that. The info that has been put in the listing as well as all my comments if you ready everything was prior to him stepping in and all of a sudden volunteering this information. So as stated many times before, no accidents ever reported in this car. An attempt at installing a body kit is what triggered the “structure announcement” at an auction. Picture were added as fulll disclosure by us in order for everyone to see what they attempted to do. Let’s also keep in mind that prior to yesterday the previous owner who never ever mentioned anything that he decided to post on my listing, never disclosed that info as they amd every other dealer previous to us attempted to sell with zero disclosure. So if you want to ask any questions, or question anything maybe you should direct all that to the previous owner who til yesterday never shared any of that info with anyone for the prior 4 years! We have done the right thing by fully disclosing everything we knew til the point of this auction.
Not a bidder. However, a believer in transparency in auctions as I have been burned on other auction sights. There are conflicting stories from two separate OWNERS of this car. Not just bystanders. Current seller states in his own words quote "Yes a clean title, there has never been any accidents or damage to the car, therefore why wouldn't it remain a clean title. The car itself never has never been wrecked or sustained any damage. the car had zero accidents." Yet a prior owner who did work to this car states quote "There was a ton of filler in there and the quarter panel had damage from a prior accident." Carfax states no accidents REPORTED. The question is simple. Was the car in an accident that sustained damage or not. We know about the body kit. But what about an accident?
@BobbyCaas thank you for clarifying that appreciate all the info. What’s getting lost in all this the value of what a GT3 still is. At the end of the day this car is not different then a car that some one highly modified then brought back to original. There is no accident with severe damage, no fires, accidents or anything of that nature. Just an original owner who didn’t properly care for the car tried to modify the body and along the way few dealers who tried to restore it to its original glory. The rest just makes for a good story. For all the chaos in comments and speculations, for those who know what the car truley is still no the value in owning this car! As always thanks to all for the comments and bids
Of course it was my listing, it was still under factory warranty during my ownership. Porsche did replace a motor mount under warranty that had broke. Originally when I had the sheet metal work done my plan was to have a more qualified paint shop paint it. The owner of the shop begged me to paint it and besides overspray on plastics or under the car the paint came out exceptionally well. They ended up spending more time clearing off the overspray on the wheel liners, trim, etc. than they did painting the car. It was when I sent the car for PPF I ran into a problem. I covered the stone guard area with blue3m tape and when I peeled it off it pulled the paint with it. Back to the body shop, he said it was something with the primer and repainted the quarter panels and one of the fenders. This time the color had a hint of blue in it. The doors had not been painted and you could see the color difference when up very close. BTW This color hides imperfections very well. I did run into the same issue as the seller where the rear wheel would rub on the drivers side going up my driveway. I figured it was an issue with how the quarter panel was hung or a stamping difference because my prior GT3 did not do the same. Also I will reiterate what pinnacle has already said, it is a clean title car, repaired salvage ones are asking close to what a clean title cars are selling for. If you do not care about the history enjoy the ride, if not buy one of the others for sale. I joke around and say I wish I fixed a white one it would blend in better.
@Thepunisher I’m not sure what all this has anything to do. It’s very simple your welcome to an inspection of the vehicle if your a real buyer. We received the vehicle with all the work that was said to be done already done and it was sub par so yes we refinished the whole paint job new and re did the PPf. All pics from our ownership and what we have done is in post. If this isn’t the car for you I totally understand and respect it, but let’s be real here, where are you buying any 2018 GT3 at my price or lower. It just doesn’t exist. I salvage title rebuilt GT3 will still go for almost full market value. Thank you for your comments and your opinion but it’s very simple, the car either works for you or it doesn’t. We have not hidden anything about this car if anything we are the only dealer who has disclosed its history. If you know anything about this car or its history, you would know that not one person including those who are commenting and tried selling it prior have ever publicly disclosed anything til now on my post. So let’s make it clear that not one person has ever mentioned any repairs of this car until switch cars put them out there and we re did the car and put it up for sale! So I think you for your comments and interest if you are a buyer, and as always your welcome to do a full inspection on the vehicle if interested. I’m not sure why we are still talking about the previous history of car when it’s all been out for everyone to see for years now!
@pinnacleimports1 well know we know the answer to my question of the structural damage and why it was announced at auction because now the truth comes out the whole car has been redone save for the original tub the rockers, fenders and both 1/4 panels were cut and replaced to remove the body kit. I found out more information in one post than just hearing about how the whole car has been redone the right way and when the windows and mouldings were off the car no one mentioned or you didn’t know that the original sheet metal wasn’t in place and hasn’t been changed? respectfully the only thing that you redid to the car according to Doug or you to make “right” was sub par paint job and a new ppf? Is paint on the car now a five or ten footer?
@Jlnike I’m here to help just wanted to clarify that. When we received the vehicle the previous repairs were sub par so we wanted to make sure we brought it back to original and the right way!
@CRM925 that’s prob the best comment I’ve read so far!
Bid in the amount of $128,250
Lucky me, I have a spare pare of silver stitch buckets that match the originals.
Bid in the amount of $128,000
@pinnacleimports1 Sorry I didn't know the paint was sprayed twice in connection with fixing the car and when the Ppf was applied. Your response was helpful. Thanks
@Retro2345 I would rate the paint work 9/10
@Daman410 not to confuse, my comment stated he is not the current owner and has not owned or seen the vehicle in over 4 years. Questions were being asked directly to him regarding its current state in which he has no idea or info as he has not seen it. Most articles and blogs and podcasts were done by Doug at switch cars which is the only other person outside of our dealership that has seen the car in its current state. I was just clarifying any comments made by anyone other then pinnacle imports or switch cars acts referring to older info on the vehicle. Thanks for the comment and gl with any bids!
What would you rate the paint work?
For him not to be affiliated he sure knows a lot about the vehicle. Doubt there are too many PTS mint green 991 GT3’s out there with this odd kind of history. This vehicle has been through multiple dealerships according to the carfax and owned in Florida and then serviced in Missouri. Bobby Cass could have had it before you got your hands on it. Everyone has had their hands on this vehicle.
Regardless of that, the car looks beautiful and I’ll gladly throw this in my garage as long as the price is right. GLWTA!
@Jlnike bobbycaas is not affiliated with the vehicle nor the sale nor the dealership auctioning of the car. The car just went through a full respray and brand new PPF since the ownership of bobbycaas. The previous attempt to paint this vehicle and correct it was subpar and it has now been brought properly to its original state! Please keep in mind Bobbycaas has not seen this vehicle since it was in his ownership amd no one has actually seen the vehicle since it’s been back to original state by us at Ponnacle Imports. If you look at the attached videos, only Doug from @switchcars was personally flown in by us at Ponnacle to see the vehicle right before car went live in Pcar, in order for him to be able to finally finish his quest on this vehicle. If anyone can attest to its current state, that would be Doug from switch cars not Bobby or anyone else. If you have anymore questions please direct them to myself or Doug as we are the only ones who have seen this car since its completion. And like always to all the interested bidders we do welcome inspections or anyone wanting to come by and view the car for themselves! We thank all for the questions and comments
@BobbyCaas I have heard from some that have seen the car in person that the paint has a bunch of imperfections/ blemishes that may not show in photos provided or due to the fact that ppf has been applied on top. Can you speak to condition of the paint, post repair . Was the ppf applied during or after your possession?
@eatsleepdrive this did not happen at higher speeds, when we go up at an angle into our bay because car is low one side sits closer to tire and it rubbed on the inner fender. That’s how that happened. We have never tracked this car or taken it at higher speeds.
@pinnacleimports1 putting a car on a rack or ramp would not suddenly cause the the tire to momentarily rub. The wheel still moves in the same plane and with the same travel. Photo 38 also shows the tire has marks from cutting into the fender, which would only happen at higher speeds. Those marks wouldn't occur putting it on a rack. If it's truly a non issue I'm sure you won't mind taking close up photos or videos of both rear inner fender lips. You've added other photos regarding questions which is great, but this still seems outstanding.
Here's a walkaround video from post-repair in 2021

Here's our latest podcast on the car:

@BobbyCaas Thanks for weighing in with more details on the repairs. You mentioned that you sold it at Manheim, that would have been the sale in July of 2021, correct? - who was it that had it for sale prior to that on eBay (May 2021, in Princeton, NJ) with it described as a transferrable Porsche CPO?
@NicolasB It's been interesting for years if you've been following the story of this car! The second owner (who started the widebody kit) was known for doing donuts and burnouts quite a bit - when the first clutch replacement happened, he picked the car up from the dealer and immediately started doing donuts in their lot, leading to a verbal altercation and the police being called. Apparently that's when the clutch got toasted the second time; it then went to the body shop for the attempted widebody, was repossessed a couple months later, and then got auctioned at Manheim, which is how Bobby ended up with it.

Thanks for weighing in with more details on the repairs. You mentioned that you sold it at Manheim, that would have been the sale in July of 2021, correct? - who was it that had it for sale prior to that on eBay (May 2021, in Princeton, NJ) with it described as a transferrable Porsche CPO?
Well this just got interesting...
@Jlnike when I got the car the original seats were gone. I was originally built with LWB with a silver stripe and silver stitching. I sourced this set of LWB’s on 6speed at the time of my ownership. I think a credible upholstery shop can swap the stitching and the cushion covers can be replaced with OEM ones in gray or a set of aftermarket ones.
It has had quite a bit more work than just removing the body kit & painting. To start transporting it was a hassle, Manheim advertised it as running and driving but the car would not move at all. It would go in gear, rev but not move at all. When it arrived I tackled the bodywork first. To start I replaced the quarter panels, fenders and rocker panels. The rest of the sheet metal is original. The original fabricator of the body kit cut the stock flare off and molded it back into there custom kit. There was a ton of filler in there and the quarter panel had damage from a prior accident. This is why I believe the original owner decided to do such a wild kit in the first place. I replaced the front fenders and the rockers too. The rockers were cut off the chassis, extended to match the widened flares and had a couple gallons of body filler holding them on. I originally priced replacing the tub but it was more economical to cut the quarter panels off and replace them then swap everything to another body. Once the bodywork was done I still had the transmission issue. I tried to have it done under warranty. The Porsche SA told me it needed a clutch. They already did 1 clutch on it, the overrev report was atrocious and they would not be doing another one. So I pulled the transmission, the clutch material was there but had disintegrated like cotton candy meets raw carbon fiber, something I’ve never seen before. After that, I drove the car for 2000 miles and sold it at manheim. I announced the frame repairs. All the sellers afterwards (big name franchises) kinda just swept that under the rug. it sure is a unique car. A real head turner. If you have any other questions @pinnacleimports1 I would be happy to answer them. GLWS
@pinnacleimports1 Thanks for the quick response.
I assume the car as well spec'd as this had carbon buckets but highly unlikely to have red sticking and striping with red nowhere else on the interior. Thanks for the honesty , I await the dme report , and if you have the sticker, but if not please post build sheet. Thanks
@Jlnike the back story is at some point the seats were changed out. As per switchcars pod cast it is believed to have been done at shop when the car was being repossessed. They allegedly removed the seats as some sort of payment for the work that had been done and unpaid. Again, all this is speculation none of this was ever 100% confirmed. I saw the build sheet in this and it does call for the seats that are in there, once Porsche source told me that these are the correct seats but a few guys have said they are not.
@Jlnike we do have the manual and I believe one key, I will confirm yes or no on window sticker on Monday morning. But I can attain a copy of the msrp sticker anyways and post on here as well
@marcagios all stories are speculation on this ine, but with that being said once reports come back on Monday they will be posted on here for everyone to see like everything else about the history of this car. Let’s keep in mind most race cars out there will have clutches redone at some point. This car was built to be driven on a track, so the fact that a clutch needed to be changed is not alarming. The fact he was doing donuts in the dealer parking….. well that’s a different story! That is in fact what makes this car’s backstory so interesting
@Thepunisher @priuslover13 the auto check will confirm that the structural damage was issued through manheim with same dates as car was at Manheim due to welded body kit. Anytime alterations are done to the structure of the car, whether it be lowering kits with c notch, lift kits, structural alterations it will be stamped with “structural’ from Manheim or most auctions for that matter. All the pics of the journey of this vehicle have been added to ensure the history is being displayed. This is a full disclosure auction.
@Bruno911 ty for the kind comments! I totally agree on this one. At the end of the day, this one is no different then any other car out there that has been customized at some point then brought back to original. The only difference is with us we are showing you the journey of the car rather then try to hide it like the other dealers out there
Bid in the amount of $112,500
@PriusLover13 I will post the auto check on VINwiki
I love that the seller is presenting the car honestly, with before and after pics. This is a great opportunity to snag a deal on a PTS car that can actually be driven instead of being stored away in some collection.
Bid in the amount of $112,000
Great to see this cosmetically restored to its former glory. You mentioned a recent mechanical inspection, was acompression test or leak down been preformed? With several stories of the wide body owner blowing clutches doing burnouts and donuts I do wonder about what we can’t see.
Do we have the original window sticker?
Both keys and manual?
Why is the whole interior silver stitched but seats red stitched? Are they original?
@PriusLover13 they are on top and fully removable!!!! Much luck on the auction and thank you for the bids!

@pinnacleimports1 - thanks for being so responsive on all of this. Can you confirm if the stone guards on the rear fenders are above or below the PPF? I need to see as much mint as possible if I end up owning this thing, so they would be coming off :)

Bid in the amount of $69,911
@lessthan20characters Plus look at the gap between the front bumper and headlight left compared to right. Not aligned either
Picture 13 shows the tailpipes aren't aligned. I've got so many questions about this car!
@PriusLover13 that is not the case here the tire rubbed the fender as we drove into our bay here at the shop. It is a steep entrance with ramps. the suspension on it is just fine. Once we get the full report from shop inspection as well as the DME report it will be posted. Its looking we will have it Late Monday. I can assure you the car drives as it should from factory with no suspension noises or issues anywhere. we will be posting another more aggressive driving video on Monday in order to show no noises or issues anywhere on this car
Bid in the amount of $51,000
@pinnacleimports1 - check the wavy inner fender on photos 36. Typically happens on cars when the wheel fitment isn't quite right and the suspension compressions with the wheel turned. Possible it happened with the rear wheel steering cranked under compression at some point, or a residual issue after the bodykit. Either way, would be good to confirm the health of the suspension or if there are any other issues around there.
@PriusLover13 not sure what fender issues you are referring too? there are no current issues with the fenders.
@carterruss Ty for the bid, Much luck in the auction!
Bid in the amount of $50,000
Thanks @pinnacleimports1! Are you, or is the shop able to have them shed more light on the fender issues @eatsleepdrive pointed out? I've seen them pull with other cars running spacers after compression, but haven't on a GT3. Wonder if those shocks are ready for replacement?
@Thepunisher - Are you able to share the Autocheck with the seller or the admins here to post in the gallery? Appreciate it.
@dylantodd7 - you know this is a 991.2 right?
Bid in the amount of $27,000
@PriusLover13 DME report will be posted Monday afternoon, as it is at the shop for that at the moment per request
@dylantodd7 ty for the question! we have had so much interest and questions regarding this matter that we have just dropped off the vehicle at our local Porsche specialist for a full health check and updated DME report! We will have the reports listed by Monday latest Tuesday. We already know its a clean health and DME history but we will have all the facts in the reports posted shortly to insure peace of mid for all buyers interested.
What assurances do we have on the health of the motor? Has anything been inspected mechanically? Is there any engine warranty remaining?
Bid in the amount of $26,750
@Thepunisher it is not severe damage, auto check is done through manheim.... which in turn uses auto check and marks it structure because of the welded body kit around car not due to accidents. the car had zero accidents. if you buy a lifted truck through manheim they hit for structure as well because you installed a lift kit. Photos of the body kit are all in the listing as well as the repaint that we did to the vehicle. all pics have been provided from before and after
@pinnacleimports1 Auto check reports “severe structural damage”. You say nothing was damaged? Do you Photos of repairs?
@Ksdaoski Yes a clean title, there has never been any accidents or damage to the car, therefore why wouldn't it remain a clean title. Keep in mind, all that ever happened to this car is someone attempted to install an aftermarket wide body kit and stored all the belongings in the car, and multiple dealers tried to sell it without disclosing the history. The car itself never has never been wrecked or sustained any damage, just paint work from the removal of the wide body kit
All this and a clean title!
Ah the infamous Minty GT3! What a wild story this car has lived. Glad to see it was properly refinished and seems to be very well sorted now. Whoever can look past the previous life this car lived will likely get a great deal on a wonderful car. GLWA!
@PriusLover13 thank you for your comment. I can certainly get you that information
@Dom33 thanks for the comment
@Thepunisher thank you for the question, when we acquired the car the body kit had been removed already.
@eatsleepdrive thank you for the question, there is no damage or mangle, inner fender rubbed with tire driving into bay to put on lift for pics underneath. Car sits low when coming up ramp.
Can you share the details of the work involved with the restoration - anything beyond paint? Also, are you able to upload the receipts to the gallery along with an overrev report?
Appreciate it!

What's going on with the inner fender lip in pictures 35 and 36? It looks mangled. Do you have close up photos?
Incredible color. Good luck!
