Powered by a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V8 engine developed with Ferrari, this 2018 Maserati GranTurismo MC Convertible comes finished in Nero Carbonio over Cuoio leather upholstery. It features the optional Carbon Fiber Aerodynamic Pack, red-painted brake calipers, contrast interior stitching, and a Cuoio leather steering wheel. Delivering an open-air sport-touring experience, this MC Convertible is now being offered for auction by its seller out of North Carolina with just over 15k miles on the odometer.
This example comes finished in Nero Carbonio with a black convertible soft top and the optional Carbon Fiber Aerodynamic Pack. Details also include an MC-specific front fascia and bumpers, bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, an integrated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and optional red-painted brake calipers. The car rides on 20” Matte Graphite MC Design wheels with new Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS tires from 2024. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting damage in December 2021.
Inside, the driver is situated within a Cuoio leather upholstered cabin complemented by piano black trim. A Cuoio leather-wrapped steering wheel and contrast stitching were also selected. Other features consist of Sport Seats with Trident-embossed headrests, MC Sport Line aluminum pedals, dual-zone automatic climate control, dual-powered heated side mirrors, auto-dimming mirrors, and a rear parking camera. The 8.4” Maserati Touch Control Plus head unit offers navigation, a Bluetooth system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
This GranTurismo Convertible MC is powered by a Ferrari-designed F136 4.7-liter V8 engine featuring DOHC, 32 valves, and variable valve timing. It produces 454 horsepower and 384 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. A selectable Sport Mode enhances throttle response and opens the exhaust valves at the touch of a button. The seller notes that the vehicle has received a recent alignment, and all Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensors and the TPMS module have been replaced with OEM parts. Additionally, the car has passed the North Carolina state inspection and emissions testing.
This sale will include a branded title, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, and a battery charger. The CARFAX report shows a manufacturer buyback/lemon reported in December 2020.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a rare Nero Carbonio on Cuoio (Carbon Black with Tan) leather and Piano Black trim throughout. MSRP was $161k. Amazing sound from a stunning car!”

@jwriggins Please accept my apologies for my reply to you. I was looking at the copy of the carfax report I had purchased at the time of acquiring the car. I didn't realize that pcarmarket makes available an updated version of the report. I had indeed taken the car to Leith Maserati on for the TPMS issue I mentioned. They definitely did not replace the valve cover. I am attaching copies of the invoice for your review.
Please look at the Criswell service and the recent 2024 Raleigh Maserati service. They both show gasket replacement
Bid in the amount of $15,000
@jwriggins I am not sure where you found that the valve cover gaskets were replaced twice in less than 15k miles. The only instance of this service being done is shown on

Maserati of Germantown
Germantown, MD:

Can you point out where you see the second valve cover service ?
Bid in the amount of $2,018
The valve cover gaskets have been replaced twice in less than 15k miles. This is unusual. I have a QP S with the same engine. It has always been serviced by Mas dealer unless minor service. Please advise- why the valve cover service?
@timmy1974 Hello, thank you for inquiring about the Granturismo MC. As you pointed out, I am a dealer. I purchased the car on August 26, 2024 and drove it around 400 miles. Honestly if I had to choose between this Granturismo MC and anything else I had available at the time, I would pick the MC without fail, simply for the high smiles per miles ratio, LOL.
Concerning the lemon declaration, I don't have anything precise to indicate the cause of it. I do suspect it had something to do with the infamous TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system). When I purchased the car, it had the old school rubber stems in all the tires. That means the previous owner gave up on trying to fix this issue plaguing Maserati cars old and new. It was somewhat challenging fixing this issue as I ended up having to buy all Maserati stock TPMS sensors, as well as replacing the TPMS module when the one in the car didn't cooperate. It was not cheap but it is worth it to me since I am pretty fanatical about not seeing any warning lights in the dash.
I will close by stating that there are no issues with this Granturismo MC and everything works as designed.
Can you provide more details about why it was declared a lemon? Also, from what I can gather from Carfax, you’ve added ~7,000 miles in the past year since you purchased it, and you are a dealer. Were you driving this as your personal vehicle?
