Available for auction is this 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R finished in Triple Yellow over an Ebony interior with Recaro seats. Introduced in 2015 with its sights set on some of the world’s most track-oriented supercars, the GT350R offers significant weight savings, aggressive aerodynamics, an upgraded suspension setup, and a 6-speed manual gearbox connected to a flat plane crank V8 “Voodoo” engine.  This 2018 example was ordered new from Peoria Ford of Arizona and has spent its entire life as part of the original owner’s prominent car collection.  What will likely be the last of the naturally aspirated high-performance Mustangs to be offered with a traditional manual gearbox, this GT350R is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Arizona while showing just over 200 miles on the odometer.

Per the Shelby Registry, this GT350R is one of only six examples ordered in Triple Yellow for the 2018 model year. The GT350R showcases a host of unique specifications including a carbon composite front grille, a carbon fiber rear wing, a vented aluminum hood and front fenders, a larger front splitter, red brake calipers, and quad-tip exhaust.  It also comes equipped with black-painted 19″ carbon-fiber wheels mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 305/30 in the front and 315/30 in the rear.  The seller notes that the left-rear quarter panel sustained a small scratch while the car was being transported and has since been professionally repaired. Inside, the cabin features Ebony cloth upholstery with Alcantara inserts and deeply bolstered Recaro sport seats.  The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of a 200-MPH speedometer, a 9k-RPM tachometer, and a digital central display. Analog oil pressure and temperature gauges are also mounted between the two central air vents. The rear seats are omitted from the GT350R models and a passenger-side dashboard plaque displays this example’s individual chassis number.

The naturally aspirated 5.2L “Voodoo” flat-plane crank V8 engine features a special plaque bearing the signatures of the engine builders.  It produces up to 526 HP and 429 lb.-ft of torque which is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec 6-speed manual gearbox and Torsen limited-slip differential, providing for a 0-60 time of approximately 3.9 seconds. The R package also includes a stiffer suspension setup with adjustable strut mounts as well as coolers for the engine oil, differential, and transmission fluid. The seller notes that a fresh service was carried out by Bell Ford in August of 2021 including an oil and filter change, brake fluid flush, and general inspection.
