A limited production model based on the widebody Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the Demon was offered as the most extreme Challenger model yet featuring a new 6.2-liter V8 engine equipped with a 2.7-liter supercharger that produces well over 800 HP. The SRT Demon was the fastest non-electric production car to reach 60 MPH from a standstill and came well equipped for the quarter mile with a factory transbrake system, Nitto drag radial tires, a lightweight interior, and the “Demon Crate” which contains a host of accessories for drag racing optimization. This example is one of 3,300 units produced in total and comes finished in Plum Crazy over a Black interior with optional red seatbelts. Cared for by one owner and accompanied by its Demon Crate, this limited-edition SRT Demon is now being offered for auction out of California showing just 259 miles on the odometer.
The SRT Demon uses the bodyshell of the Challenger SRT Hellcat and features widebody fender flares and an Air-Grabber hood with the largest functional hood scoop ever fitted to a production car. Other equipment includes a front splitter, a rear spoiler, integrated Air-Catcher xenon headlights, LED taillights, daytime running lamps, power mirrors, a ParkView rearview camera, Demon logo fender badges, and red-painted Brembo brake calipers. It rides on 18”x11” aluminum wheels with Demon-branded Nitto NT05 drag radial road tires. The seller adds that the car is preserved in like-new condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in Black cloth with optional red seatbelts and Demon logo embroidered backrests. The SRT Demon’s lightweight interior comes without sound insulation, trunk carpeting, or rear seats. Accessories include a Demon serialized dashboard plaque, a Wildwheel Alcantara steering wheel, Demon-branded instrumentation with a 200 MPH speedometer, power front seats, a 2-speaker audio system, air conditioning, Uconnect 4C NAV with an 8.4” display, and Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity.
The Demon features a 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine paired with a 2.7-liter twin-screw supercharger that produces 808 HP and 717 lb.-ft of torque on 91-octane pump gas, or up to 840 HP and 770 lb.-ft of torque using 100-octane racing fuel and the powertrain module included in the Demon Crate. The rear wheels are driven through an 8-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential which allows acceleration from 0-60 MPH in as little as 2.3 seconds and a quarter mile run time of 9.65 seconds at 140 MPH. It comes standard with Drag Mode Suspension, 3-mode adaptive damping, electronic roll mitigation, a transbrake system, torque reserve, Launch Assist, SRT Drive Modes, all-speed traction control, 4-piston lightweight Brembo brakes, electric power steering, an after-run cooler, and the SRT Power Chiller which uses the vehicle’s A/C system to pre-cool the intercooler before drag runs. The seller adds that the car has been regularly started for mechanical exercise.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, and the original window sticker as well as the Demon Crate which includes a revised power train module, front-runner drag wheels, a passenger mirror block off plate, a conical performance air filter, and a high-octane fuel switch along with a hydraulic floor jack, torque wrench, cordless impact wrench, a tire pressure gauge, a fender cover, and a tool bag.
The seller would like you to know: “Car is never driven and only has 259 miles on it. The current owner is selling it to purchase a different vehicle for his collection.”
