@Bighead. Yes we did look into the issue of the Compliance Letter from BMW, and they gave us an affirmative response - no trouble getting the Compliance letter for this car.
Can you help with import into the US? I have a general understanding of the procedure, but any idea of whether BMW North America will issue a compliance letter? Has that been looked into?
Thanks!

@maladent. Sure. There isn't much to tell...
The car was bought new in BC and lived in British Columbia, Canada until it was traded in earlier in 2024. We bought it and another BMW from the Mercedes dealer in Kelowna. Our understanding was that the car was bought by the father, and then traded in on a purchase for his son.
The owner had the front bumper refinished under insurance, with an invoice in July 2019 of $CAD 1,759 with about $400 of that amount being tax.
The car was serviced at the BMW dealer in 03/21 and 02/22 and we just gave it an oil and brake service, and detailed the undercarriage.
Can you give us the Cole’s notes on the paper trail? Do you have any comments regarding the car’s history, the accident repair and how the car made it into your hands? Thanks
