Acclaimed for its agile driving characteristics and visceral open-top experience, the 718 Boxster S marked a new era for Porsche with the introduction of a turbocharged flat-four-cylinder engine. This 2017 Boxster S is finished in GT Silver Metallic with a black convertible soft top over a Black and Bordeaux Red leather interior. Purchased new in January 2017 at Porsche of Tysons Corner in Virginia, it came factory-optioned with a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, 14-way Power Sport Seats, a GT Sport Steering Wheel, and the Bose Surround Sound System. Under the care of a single owner and longtime official of a local PCA region, this Boxster S is now being offered for auction out of Virginia with approximately 47k miles on the odometer.
This Boxster S is finished in GT Silver Metallic with a black convertible soft top. It rides on factory 19” 10-spoke wheels with optional Porsche-crested center caps and Continental ExtremeContact tires from 2019 and 2022. The seller notes that a vehicle backed into the car in March of 2017, which necessitated the replacement of the right rear fender and door panel, along with refinishing on the front fender. The seller notes that SunTek paint protection film was reapplied in April 2017 after the repairs from the windshield forward including the mirrors. Some blemishes are noted on the front bumper and right rear fender, along with a 1.5” crack at the center base of the windshield. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in Black & Bordeaux Red leather and has been modified with a Bordeaux Red armrest with a Porsche crest, instrument trim rings, black and red Coco floor mats, and a plexiglass rear wind deflector. Factory options include the Premium Package Plus, 14-way Power Sport Seats with Memory Package, Porsche Connect Plus, Navigation Module for Porsche Communication Management (PCM), Porsche Connect Plus, a Bose Surround Sound System, a GT Sport Steering Wheel, a luggage net in the passenger footwell, and Lane Change Assist (LCA).
This Boxster S is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four engine sending up to 350 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. It accelerates from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 180 MPH. The seller notes that the ignition coils were replaced under warranty in May 2017 due to an engine fault, and the sound symposer in the trunk has been disconnected to provide a more natural exhaust tone. The spark plugs were last changed in November 2019 and are due to be replaced in November 2023.
This sale will include a clean title, air pump, battery charger, owner’s manuals, and some documentation.
The seller would like you to know: "Beautiful one-owner 718 Boxster S in classic Porsche color combination, selling to clear garage for new 911 Carrera T. Car drives and functions as new. Sport button is a blast whether around town or on the back roads. The normal (non-Sport) mode gives 30+ mpg on the open highway at cruising speeds. I disconnected the sound symposer in the trunk so you hear a natural exhaust sound, which is especially better sounding in Sport mode. Owned since new by longtime Drive and Dine/touring chair for one of the larger PCA regions. Car has made it to 1 Treffen (Greenbrier, 2020), 1 Parade (Poconos 2022), and 3 of the Zone 2 Boardwalk Reunions in OCNJ. Never done DE or autocross with it, but everyone says this would be a great autocross car."

@samcombs Thanks for the questions! 1) I am guessing because it was in a parking lot (pickup truck backing into the right side) and not a road accident , it didn’t show on carfax. 2) The initial windshield repair (3 years ago) was deemed to not require a windshield replacement. The original crack was about an inch higher and was repaired by Safelite, but a new one has formed lower on the windshield. Safelite can’t repair the same windshield twice. Anyway, this is a wonderful vehicle for your purposes and for the nice days you have.
I have a few questions. First I'd like to say what a fine looking auto this is: the red and black seating along with the silver metallic exterior is the color combination I'm looking for in a Boxster. The first question I have as to why the damage you reported in your text is not shown in the CarFax? The second as to why you haven't replaced the windshield? That is usually a no cost replacement with any insurance company. I currently have a 2016 Cayenne which is jet black metallic with a combination black and tan interior, am a member of PCA Alaska and looking for a Boxster to utilize in our Autocrosses and for the few sunny days we have here in Anchorage. Thanks in advance for your response.
