The 2017 Hurst Kenne Bell R-Code Mustang is a special project by Performance West Group of Bonsall, California, with only 16 examples built in total. It celebrates the illustrious history of Ford and Hurst with custom body styling in a two-tone Oxford White and Hurst Gold theme. It is powered by a 750 HP Kenne Bell supercharged 5.0L Coyote V8 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission featuring a Hurst Competition Plus shifter. The car is also equipped with Hurst lowering springs and 20” chrome wheels, Katzkin Tuscany leather seat covers, a Daytona aerodynamic package, and a Hurst-logo polished stainless-steel exhaust. Having been kept as part of a private collection, this extremely rare Mustang is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania while showing only 238 miles on the odometer.
Finished in Oxford White with custom-painted Hurst Gold graphics, the Hurst Kenne Bell R-Code Mustang features a unique front fascia with custom metal-backed honeycomb grilles as well as a functional air intake hood and a Daytona-type front splitter with Hiem-jointed uprights. It also comes equipped with a Daytona rear wing, diffuser, and side splitters. Other details include Hurst fender, decklid, and grille badges, Hurst lettering between the taillights, a Kenne Bell R Code designation on the nose and trunk, stainless-steel gas charged hood struts, and 4” Hurst-logo polished stainless-steel double wall exhaust tips. The car rides on staggered 20” Hurst Stunner chrome wheels with optional Hurst Gold accents and Nitto NT555 G2 ultra-high-performance tires.
The cabin features re-bolstered high-back Recaro bucket seats covered in white and black Katzkin Tuscany leather with deviated gold stitching and Hurst logos stitched into the backrests. The door panels and rear seats are trimmed to match. Other details include a serialized designation plaque above the glovebox, Hurst-branded floor mats, Kenne Belle R Code door sills, and a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter with reverse lockout and a classic cue ball gear knob.
This Mustang is equipped with a 5.0L Coyote V8 engine featuring a 3.2L Kenne Bell twin-screw liquid-cooled polished supercharger including Kenne Belle fuel injectors, a 4.5” inlet tube, and a Mammoth 168mm throttle body. The engine also features Hurst Gold painted valve covers and a Hurst by Flowmaster 3” stainless-steel exhaust with a crossover pipe. Up to 750 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The car is lowered on Hurst springs for improved handling and a more aggressive stance.
This sale will include a clean title and a certificate of authenticity.
The seller would like you to know: “Mustang and Hurst, two of the most famous, most respected, and most important names in the high-performance world, come together in this magnificent 2017 Ford Mustang Hurst Kenne Bell R Code. Originally scheduled for a limited production run of 50 vehicles, only 16 were actually built, making this a very rare and extra desirable car. The 5.0L Coyote V8 has been fortified with a Kenne Bell 3.2L twin screw liquid-cooled positive displacement supercharger and a Kenne Bell Mammoth 168mm throttle body to generate a monstrous 750 horsepower. Naturally, there has to be a Hurst shifter, so in classic style, a Hurst Competition Plus unit complete with a reverse lock-out and trademark white ball is installed. Hurst components by Flowmaster help the engine breathe with a 3-inch stainless cat-back dual exhaust system with crossover pipe and dual quad 4-inch stainless double wall tips finished with the Hurst logo. Aesthetically, the car is simply stunning with its Oxford White and Hurst Gold color scheme. The gold paint has just the right amount of metallic sparkle to it. Custom Hurst badging and logos are found throughout the car including a serialized dash plaque with the car’s unique serial number. Katzkin Tuscany premium leather seat covers feature gold top stitching and a beautifully embroidered gold Hurst emblem. The Hurst Stunner chrome plated wheels have the optional Hurst gold custom-painted accents. This is one special pony.”
