The Ford GT ‘66 Heritage Edition was released in 2017 as a limited production model honoring the #2 Ford GT40 MKII piloted to victory by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. This example, serial number 200084, is finished in Gloss Shadow Black with silver stripes and Frozen White emblems as well as 20” monoblock forged wheels in gold satin clearcoat, unique seatbelts with blue webbing, gold applique interior accents, and exposed matte carbon fiber door sills. Acquired by the seller in January of 2022 and showing just over 100 miles on the odometer, this highly-collectible Ford GT is now being offered at auction out of New Mexico.
The exterior is finished in Gloss Shadow Black with silver racing stripes and Frozen White #2 graphics on the doors and hood. The aluminum bodywork is laid over a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with aluminum subframes and derives its “teardrop” profile from the design of LMP1 race cars. Equipment includes a matte carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts, finned rear diffuser and engine cover louvers, a lightweight Gorilla Glass windscreen, silver Brembo brake calipers, butterfly doors, LED headlights, an active rear wing, twin black tailpipes, and taillights with integrated heat extractors. As part of the ‘66 Heritage Edition Package, a set of forged one-piece 20” wheels come finished in gold satin clearcoat with black lug nuts, mounted with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
The cabin features carbon-fiber racing seats trimmed in Ebony leather with pillowed inserts, plow-through stitching, and debossed Ford GT logos. Other details include an Ebony leather-wrapped instrument panel, pillars, and headliner, gold appliques on the instrument panel, seat X-braces, and shift paddles, matte carbon fiber door sills, air register pods, a #2 interior door graphic, seatbelts with unique blue webbing, and a leather-wrapped F1-inspired F steering wheel. Amenities include an adjustable pedal box and telescoping steering wheel column, automatic climate control, a 10.1” LCD instrument cluster, a SYNC 3 infotainment system, voice-activated navigation, keyless entry with pushbutton start, and a rearview camera.
The twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 sits beneath a carbon fiber engine cover and is factory rated at 647 HP and 550 lb.-ft of torque. A 7-speed Getrag dual-clutch transaxle sends power to the rear wheels, allowing for the Ford GT to accelerate to 60 MPH in approximately 3 seconds with a claimed top speed of 216 MPH. Standard performance features include Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, hydraulic pushrod suspension, a front-axle lift feature, and selectable driving modes. The signature of professional racing driver Joey Hand is written in the engine bay.

these cars really are incredible to drive- the gearbox is amazing, but the steering, on track, is probably the best of any car released in 20+ years. The only other cars to compare it to are the 675LT and the Carrera GT in that regard. Kudos to seller and eventual new owner!
Hey guys the reserve has been lifted!!! Good luck. This is a one of a kind opportunity!
