We are pleased to present this tastefully appointed 2016 Porsche 991 GT3 RS finished in Paint to Sample Black (A1) over a customized black leather and Alcantara interior with deviated stitching in GT Silver. Customized with unprecedented attention to detail, this 2016 RS has been upgraded with OEM Houndstooth upholstery, extended deviated stitching, and genuine Porsche parts including a 911R lower diffuser and a backup camera. Also featuring optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and the Sound Package Plus, this exceptional GT3 RS is now being offered by its seller in New York with approximately 6k miles showing on the odometer.
The Paint to Sample Black (A1) nonmetallic finish remains in pristine condition under a full application of clear paint protection film. Custom details include a painted engine lid, rear reflectors, side air intakes, and front brake ducts. The PCCB brake calipers have also been refinished in Fashion Grey. Black single-projector PDLS headlights have been installed for cosmetics along with clear side markers lenses and a 911R lower engine cover with a diffuser. The factory Satin Black center-lock wheels were also recently reinstalled with their original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires remaining in like-new condition.
Inside, the black leather and Alcantara interior features deviated stitching in GT Silver and carbon fiber trim. The seat cushions have also been custom wrapped in genuine Porsche Houndstooth upholstery. The door pull loops have been replaced with genuine black pieces and European-market sun visors have been installed along with a 991.2 RS steering wheel. The car was brought to Exclusive Option in San Francisco to receive extended deviated stitching on the upper dashboard and custom bolster covers for the seats. Some of the extended dashboard upholstery near the windshield has begun to peel, although the seller confirms that replacement pieces will be included in the sale. Options listed on the original $195,615 window sticker include:
This first-generation 991 GT3 RS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.0 L flat-six engine that revs up to nearly 9000 RPM while producing 500 HP stock. A 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission drives the rear wheels allowing the RS to accelerate from 0-60 in as little as 3.3 seconds. An updated 991.2 exhaust system has been installed and the added 911R lower engine cover features a diffuser for improved aerodynamics. All scheduled service has been addressed through authorized Porsche dealerships and this RS is said to be in superb operating condition for its next owner.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, original books and tools, a helmet bag, new dashboard leather trim pieces, the original window sticker, and a clean title. Unlike any other GT3 RS on the road, this tastefully modified PTS 2016 example offers a very special opportunity.

@az911 It as a fantastic car, I loved it, every second I drove it, every mod I agonized over, and even finding an eager end user who will use and enjoy it!
Beautifully done RS, @graymatters. Totally love the understated look and every detail was perfectly executed. It would pain me to part with this one too! GLWS!

@Gator71 I responded to your message directly, but the fix is extremely easy, and as stated in the listing, I will include new leather defroster elements with the car upon completion of this sale. The buyer can easily change at their discretion.
Good luck with the auction!

The picture shows some peeling around those center vents but also along the long vents against the windshield. Is the leather dash shrunken away from those long vents? It looks like it in the pictures if I zoom in....??

@Gator71 They mistakenly put in listing that the tires are Michelin’s, the car has Dunlop’s and will come with them as shown in the photos. The Michelin’s were, and still are, on the mag wheels, which as I said are NOT included, but are available for $16k if the buyer would like. I apologize for the confusion. It was not my, or Pcarmarket‘s intention!
Hello all-
The ppi / pre certification inspection & summary of annual service / oil change has been added to the listing.
Most people wouldn’t have spent $1550 dollars on a car they were selling. I did because I know the car is special, and I wanted everyone who was interested to know that no expense has ever been spared in caring for this car. Whomever buys this car won’t have to spend a dollar on this car until next years annual service.
If someone is interested in a warranty, this car currently does not have one due to age, not mi as it’s WAY under the allotted 50k mi, I can help facilitate either a porsche certified warranty, or an another more comprehensive bumper to bumper used car warranty.
Thanks for looking / bidding and please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Cheers!

Sorry, one more question. The add says the stock wheels with Michelin Sport Cup 2's but the pics show Dunlops. What tires will come with those stock wheels? Thanks.
You mentioned the PPI at Gold Coast. Did they report on any issues? I don't see that it was added to the post. Thx!
@BKKlaus
Thank you for your bid. Please let me know if you have any further questions. I am happy to answer any of them you may have.
@Gator71 Thanks for your interest and question. It’s a direct replacement of those two defroster trim pieces. I will include new ones with the sale of the car. The leather covering those plastic pieces started to peel, so rather than try to save them, I will include new ones for the next owner. It is an extremely minor thing, but I am very particular and want the next owner to get a perfect car!
It says the upholstery near windshield is staring to peel with replacement pieces. Any pictures of that peeling? Also, what does that repair entail?
Bid in the amount of $125,000
@dinotom1 Yes, you are correct. The car will come with ONLY the factory satin black wheels pictured in the photo set and the video that Pcarmarket did in the initial listing. The magnesium wheels shown in the last 5 photos of the car wingless are NOT included but can be purchased separately if the buyer is interested. I am currently keeping them for another project car I am hoping to do sometime soon. Thanks for your interest and don’t hesitate to ask any further questions if you have them. Cheers
Just so I am clear, the car is coming with the original wheels as shown in the headline image of the auction (the first picture at the top)
Just wanted to write that the wingless photos have been added. Hope these help visualize what the car looked like for the whole time I had it. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Thanks for everyone’s interest and love on the car so far.
Hello all-
I wanted to say that I have sent a TON of photos of this car wingless to Pcarmarket and they will be uploaded tonite.
JUST TO BE CLEAR
The car is going to be mostly shown with the magnesium wheels in these photos. The sale DOES NOT come with these wheels included. They can be purchased additionally for $16,000. The wheels on the car in the initial photo set are the ones that are original to the car, and have never been used prior to this listing, as I had the magnesium wheels, and they were used the entire time I owned / used the car.
Additionally, I have included a set of photos that shows this car wingless next to my other PTS Black RS. I have had several of these cars (4 to be exact,) but I thought those photos showing one w wing and one without next to each other would be cool to see. Enjoy the photos and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. Have a nice weekend all!
@Duke Thanks for your interest. I MUCH preferred it without the wing. The car is stealthy and mean in person. You will see that and the mag 918 wheels really made this car something special, even though it was ‘just’ another black Porsche. I personally didn’t have the little end plate fins, that was a cool development that Boden Autohaus, Canepa, and Sicktoyz created. All a bit different, but all cool. If someone is interested in a set, I can source for a very fair price from any of the above. I have sent the photos to Pcarmarket and they will be uploaded at the latest by tomorrow. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any other questions you may have. Have a great rest of your weekend!
I'm curious to see the photos with the wing removed. Do you have the duck tail "end caps" like the GT3 RS that Jerry Seinfeld spec'd which was sold here a few months ago?
@cab2door
Your wish is my command! I have given them to the Pcarmarket team, I am hopeful they will add them on here shortly. If you want to dm here I will share them with you directly in advance of them being posted! Have a great weekend, and talk soon.
As requested earlier, any pictures without the wing. Multiple angles if possible.
Stunning car.
@Tomatoman
Thank you for your bid! Please don't hesitate to ask any further questions. As you might have read below, the repurchase inspection / pre certification inspection & annual service was done today, but I was not able to get to Porsche Gold Coast before the closed at 1pm today. I will collect the car Monday am, in advance of the auction closing, and will give all the relevant documentation to pcarmarket so they can amend the listing with the detailed documentation re the inspections & annual service. Have a great weekend!

@cab2door
Thanks for your bid! In response to several requests for a PPI, the car is undergoing a comprehensive PPI & pre certification inspection. Also, I am having another yearly service / oil change done at the same time at Porsche Gold Coast. When I have the results of the PPI and service I will post them to the listing. Whomever gets this car will get a great car! Thx for all the interest and feedback. Have a great weekend and I am happy to answer any questions that anyone has about the RS or anything done to it. Cheers!

@dinotom1 Thanks for your interest. The smoking package was specified by the original owner because without it, the center console looks strange with that open pocket. With the smoking package the center console looks much more resolved / finished, plus you get an extra AC adapter. The car has never been smoked in, or even had anyone who smoked before entering it. I am extremely particular, and the car is even nicer than it presents in photos. I hope this helps and please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
@graymatters The car has the smoking package option. During your ownership period, were people allowed to smoke in the car? Are you aware of whether or not smoking occurred in the car prior to your ownership?
@Robert.FU.Hastings Thank you! I really loved this car, it’s a shame that I have to sell, but I haven’t driven it enough to justify it with it being out in LA while I am here. It’s now out here in NY, and it promptly starts snowing. The Porsche gods must be sending a message.
The car is out here now, it just arrived Monday and I dropped it off at pcarmarket’s HQ to facilitate an easy transition. I will send them some photos of the car from the car’s previous life, wingless ;) Keep in mind it always had the mag wheels on it though, and while they aren’t included in the sale, I can sell them to the next owner for $15,200 if desires.
Thanks for the comment, and I appreciate the interest. Have a nice day, and feel free to ask any further questions!
Graymatters, is the car in NY or LA? Can you share any photos from when you were running without the wing?
This is stunning!
@Graymatters By the way, I wanted to say that oddly on the car fax, it shows there being 4 owners. I am both owner 3 & 4. I sourced the car for the second owner, then bought the car outright before it had really ever been driven. Then for some reason it shows a fourth owner, but truly the first two owners never drove the car more than 300 mi combined. Just wanted to clear that up! Happy to answer any questions anyone might have.
@abramski Thank you!
I couldn’t afford a 911R in period, nor do I love driving stick, I know (I have heard it all.) This was my subtle way to tie in a heritage element to what is otherwise a modern, clean build. I ran this car mostly with the wing off, some people have started to follow suit it seems ;)
This car had the mag wheels on it since delivery, and the combo of the wingless look, 911R diffuser, and mag wheels was my take on the ‘weissach pack’ for the 991.1
Combine that with the fact that I am a firm ‘no wart’ guy for the roof, it makes this car unique & beautiful, and that all 991.2 2019’ have that feature, this car was all I ever wanted / needed from Porsche. It is my perfect 991, but for one other, but that’s the fun for another day. Another project I’ll do at some point when I can properly use a car like this again. For now my 992 4S is the current daily, project, and toy rolled in one. Can’t say enough good about the new platform. Not perfect, but then again that new GT3 seems like the perfect complement to the new platform. Can’t wait to try that next. Thanks for your comment and interest. Bummer this has to go, but I would love someone to use, enjoy, and be proud of it as I have!
Besides the fact that this is an amazing car, the houndstooth just adds that special touch! Wish I had the funds to afford this one! Beautiful car seller!
Hello-
I am the reluctant seller of this RS. I have owned this car for years, and truly loved every mile driven, modification thoughtfully made, and wish my lifestyle change (moving from Los Angeles to New York) didn't render this car unusable for me. I know everyone says it, but this is truly the car I will regret selling, it was my dream car, the first RS I bought with my own money, and used semi daily on my commute home via Mulholland. I recently moved out to NY and this car was just collecting dust in my garage in LA, literally. I finally reluctantly decided that it was time to find a new owner / keeper who would use and enjoy the car the way I always had. I loved every minute I owned it, and I assure you, if you are the lucky one who buys it, you won't be disappointed. I look frequently, as we all do, and there isn't another car that's close in spec or condition to this one. Please feel free to ask any questions, or just to chat about the car!
