A lightweight track-only variant of the Porsche 981 Cayman GT4, the Clubsport model comes equipped with a 6-speed PDK transmission, GT3 Cup-derived suspension, adjustable ABS, an FIA-certified roll cage, a racing bucket seat, and a Krontec air jack system. This 2016 example features a Manthey-Racing MR Performance kit which adds adjustable KW coilovers, a blade-style front sway bar, brake-bias adjustment, a carbon-fiber hood, doors, and a larger rear wing. The car is also equipped with a Salzburg livery exterior wrap, a Manthey Racing lighting package, an AiM digital dash, Garmin Catalyst driving performance optimizer, cool suit plumbing, and a radio communication system. This GT4 Clubsport MR was imported by the seller from Germany in 2020 and sold to a private owner who participated in HPDE courses and a few Porsche Club of America club races. Accompanied by a PCA racing logbook and documented service history, this GT4 Clubsport MR is now being offered for auction out of Illinois with just over 4k kilometers on the odometer.
The exterior wears a custom Salzburg-style vinyl livery over white paint. It comes equipped with the Manthey-Racing MR Performance kit which includes a lightweight carbon fiber hood and doors, a polycarbonate windscreen, and a larger rear wing. The Manthey-Racing lighting package also features halogen lamps integrated into the front bumper. Other equipment includes a front splitter, side air scoops, OMP tow straps, a rear diffuser, a Lexan rear window, and dual center-mounted exhaust tips. The car rides on 18” BBS forged aluminum wheels dressed in used Pirelli P Zero racing slicks. An additional set of BBS wheels is included in the sale. The seller reports the car never sustained accident damage and retains its original paint beneath the vinyl wrap. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, this GT4 features a stripped-out racing cockpit equipped with an FIA welded-in roll cage, a Recaro P1300 racing seat, a Sabelt 6-point safety harness, carbon fiber door panels, and an Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel with carbon fiber paddle shifters. Other equipment includes a fire suppression system, an AiM digital dashboard, a Garmin Catalyst driving performance optimizer, cool suit plumbing, a radio communication system, and a carbon fiber central switch panel.
A mid-mounted 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivers 385 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed PDK racing transmission and a locking differential. Factory performance features include Performance Friction (PFC) brakes, an adjustable Bosch 12-step Porsche Motorsport ABS module, a 911 GT3 Cup-derived front suspension, and a Krontec air jack system. The Cup-specific brakes also include a dual master cylinder brake system with a driver brake bias knob. The Manthey-Racing MR Performance kit includes a lightweight battery, a brake bias adjuster, a blade-style front sway bar, and adjustable KW coilovers. The seller indicates the car has been meticulously maintained and service records will accompany the sale.
This sale will include service records, a PCA racing logbook, a book of safety guidelines, and a bill of sale. An extra set of BBS wheels, a fuel pump-out system, an air jack wand, and a COBB Tuning module are also included.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting our auction. We imported this 2016 GT4 Clubsport MR in 2020, when it had only a few hundred miles on it. Later that same year, we sold it to an elderly gentleman who always ensured the car was maintained to the highest standards by a professional team. During his ownership, the car was used very sparingly and comes ready to race with a PCA logbook. It has never been in an accident and still retains its original paint beneath the Salzburg Racing wrap. Finding any 981 GT4 Clubsport in this condition is rare, even more so one equipped with the Manthey Racing package.”

@Ubermensch 1. Yes, it has air condition.
2. Yes, the fuel cell was inspected. No leaks or deterioration of the membrane or the foam were found.
A couple of questions:
1: Does the car have air conditioning?
2. The service record shows the fuel bladder may have been inspected. Do you know if it was replaced? How about the foam?
@ScuderiaSmith We have no record of it being done. It does not leak and all of the foam is in excellent condition. An in date FIA certification is not required for racing in Porsche Club of America, SCCA or NASA. An in date fuel cell is a requirement for IMSA, SRO or Porsche Sprint Challenge and this car is not eligible for those series. Most of the cars you see entered in amateur racing series do not have an in date FIA certification.
Nice car, can you tell me when the fuel cell was redone and what is the expiration date? We just redid two of our Clubsports, and they were nearly $15,000.00 each.
We have just uploaded all of the service records to the photos. The car has been maintained by a professional team with no expense spared.
