A high-performance track-oriented version of the 981-generation Porsche Cayman, the original GT4 was introduced for the 2016 model year featuring a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter engine borrowed from the Carrera S along with a fixed rear wing, lowered PASM sport suspension, GT3-derived brakes, a 6-speed manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). This example is finished in Jet Black Metallic over matching leather with stitching Guards Red stitching and features the optional wheels painted satin black, wing supports in black, bi-xenon headlights in black, Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, Carbon Interior Package, carbon center console trim, Sport Chrono Package, and much more. Showing approximately 24k kilometers (under 15k miles) on the odometer, this GT4 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
Compared to the standard 981 Cayman, the GT4 features a vented front bumper with larger radiator grilles and a lower lip spoiler as well as side air intake scoops, a rear diffuser, and a fixed rear wing. This example is finished in Jet Black Metallic with optional bi-xenon headlights in black with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), wing supports in black, and 20” GT4 wheels in satin black. The seller notes minor signs of road rash and some scuffs on the lower area of the front spoiler. The car has been paint-corrected and ceramic-coated, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents Black leather upholstery complemented with Guards Red stitching, Guards Red seat belts, a carbon fiber center console, the Carbon Fiber Interior Package, and a Porsche-crested Alcantara storage compartment lid. Additional options include heated 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, the Light Design Package, two-zone automatic climate control, automatically dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor, a passenger footwell storage net, PCM with navigation and universal audio interface, SAT-receiver XM (SDARS) with High-Definition-Radio, and Online Services.
The first-generation Cayman GT4 carries a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine derived from the Carrera S, producing as much as 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), and active transmission mounts. The seller adds that a scheduled service was performed by an authorized Porsche dealer in the spring of 2024, less than 2k kilometers ago.
This sale will include a clean title and the owner’s manuals.
The seller would like you to know: “The 981 GT4 is one of Porsche's finest street cars of the modern era. Raw and engaging (more so than its 718 successor), with incredible sound, incredible balance, reliability, and excellent retained value. The perfect entry to the GT-car world. This particular example has had a story-free life with pride of ownership clearly evident. The car looks, drives, and smells like new. We can help with every aspect of transport or import, worldwide.”

Has this car ever been tracked?
well to be fair it's pretty clean. But there are cars with 0 across all ranges
What are the total operating hours on the car? That should be somewhere in the report, but I don't see it in the image. A "clean" DME would be 0 overrevs. On this one, how long ago the last overrevs were is important.
@tmort - just the scheduled intermediate service at Porsche, basically an oil change and wiper blades and things. Maybe brake fluid too, I will check.
Bid in the amount of $65,000
Do we have record of what the service involved that was just performed?
Just got the DME report from Porsche, please see the gallery.
@hoodscoop - shh, don't tell him! Haha
@grandkeys why are you increasing your own bids?

@gkp200 - no signs of track use (although I certainly hope the next owner tracks the car, they are built for it) - tires are not heat cycled, no rubber shreds anywhere, previous owner absolutely never took to the track. DME is clean (had it checked at Porsche when it went for its service) but I forgot to keep the print out, I am trying to get a fresh printout from them today before auction close.

Any track time? DME report?
@Jarod964 Thank you
Hey @ricodude - Odometer and digital speedometer can be easily changed from KM to miles in the PCM. If you want the actual dial replaced you would have to replace the gauge face itself. The car didn't come with the battery tender but it looks to me like a generic CTEK or similar hookup - I can check with my CTEK and confirm what type you will need. Hope this helps.
For USA import:
The odometer setting can be changed from km to reflect miles as well as any other displays?
The speedometer dial numbers cannot be changed from km to miles without replacing it?
Also, what type of battery tender is currently attached to the battery and does it go with the car (wiring attached to battery and unit as well)?
Thanks
Pulled all service history from Porsche this morning, can confirm transmission was replaced under recall in 2020 at about 6k km. The car had a lookover in the spring during its scheduled intermediate service at Porsche (at ~22k km) and a great DME report at that time. I don't have the DME report on hand but will try to get a new one.
Is there going to be a DME report available?
Bid in the amount of $30,000
Hey viewers, sorry for my lack of activity on here, I did not realize this auction went live - normally pcar sends me a draft for approval, this time they did not. Just getting caught up.
@tmort - the chip in the windshield does not look to me like it's been filled. I believe transmission was replaced as per the original recall, but I will need to confirm with Porsche tomorrow. The trans feels like new. The car is completely US DOT/EPA compliant with all necessary labels.
Approx. costs to import this car to the US would be:
- 2.8% duty on purchase price
- $500-1k in broker/paperwork fees
- Cost of transport to your home state, usually a couple grand
We send many cars to the US and can assist with every step of the process.
I will be here to answer any questions during the remainder of the auction.
Can the car be titled into California without any modifications to the car?
What are the import fees?
Has the rock chip in the windshield been filled?
Has the tranny been replaced?
