This 2016 Porsche 981 Cayman is finished in Black over a matching interior with leather Sport Seats Plus. It comes equipped with optional 19” Cayman S wheels, the Convenience Package, the Infotainment Package with Sound Package Plus, and a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission paired with its mid-mounted flat-six engine. Having been dealer-maintained and garage-kept while remaining under the care of its original owner, this Cayman is now being offered for auction out of North Carolina with just over 8k miles on the odometer.
This 981 is finished in Black and features a speed-activated rear spoiler, side air intakes, front fog lights, LED brake lights, a central exhaust outlet, and optional 19” Cayman S wheels. It rides on original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The seller notes clear European-spec front side marker lights were installed by the dealer upon delivery and the original amber lenses are included in the sale. The exterior is described to be in excellent overall condition and the seller states the car has never seen track use. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black interior features optional 2-way Sport Seats Plus in leather as well as the Convenience Package which adds seat heating and ventilation and dual-zone automatic climate control. The optional Infotainment Package also adds Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including Navigation Module as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio and HD Radio receivers, Online Services, and Sound Package Plus (7-speakers). All accessories and electronics are said to be working properly.
A naturally aspirated 2.7-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 315 HP and 266 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 5 seconds with a top speed of 172 MPH. The seller indicates that annual services were completed by an authorized Porsche dealer and there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, service records, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “We purchased this car new for my wife. It has been her fountain of youth. However, we must downsize, and the Cayman drew the short straw. It is as-new and in absolutely original condition. It has never seen winter conditions and is rarely driven in the rain. It is effectively a new car but without the unpleasant four-cylinder turbo engine of the new Caymans. The PDK transmission in this application is precise and suits the car perfectly. It is a docile everyday car that can really dance when asked.”

@zekewright I'm sorry I'm not local. So dumb.
If successful bidding for this car, I would be able to put down a large initial payment with the remainder at a later date. You'd retain the car in the meantime. Would this be at all possible to arrange? I'm local to your area. Thanks either way, beautiful example
@VonKlatt The engine is bone stock so I think there is an error in the description. Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't notice it.

Nice example of a low mileage clean cayman. Black/Black is sharp as well. Discrepancy in 315HP stated in description vs 275HP on original window sticker. Any mods or simply wrong spec in the description? Thanks & GLWTA.

@Tripin6 that is correct. The headliner and underlying plastic were replaced at the dealership. Thanks for your interest.
Bob
Thanks for clarifying about the oil change intervals and adding all service records. Just curious is the last receipt for the headliner repair?
A note on the most recent invoice. Just before we decided to sell our Cayman, the headliner suddenly developed a sag. This is unfortunately a fairly common occurrence in modern Potsches. After investigating repair options, we were able to get the entire headliner and underlying plastic replaced at Leith Porsche. They did a great job and even arranged a substantial good will discount from PCNA.
OK Cayman lovers I have reviewed the Carfax report. It looks like the services that were performed by Leith Porsche don't show up but services by Wilmington Porsche do show up. I will post more photos ASAP.

Also, Mr Van Slyke, a photo of the window sticker is added. Cheers, Bob
@Tripin6 When I saw your comment this morning I thought "Wow that doesn't sound like me, an adherent to Mike Miller's school of excessive maintenance." I have invoices showing oil changes at 1419, 4660, 5468, 6748 and 7832 miles. I will post photos of all today. I will check the Carfax for any other inaccuracies. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful Cayman! I noticed in the CarFax report it showed the first oil change was done at 6,749 miles? Is that accurate? Was that the first oil and filter change? Thanks
Absolutely! Photos of all documents coming soon. Thanks for your kind comment.
Bob
Perfect-black on black and nearly new. Can you post a picture of the the original window sticker? Thanks!
Happy Halloween! Welcome to the auction and remember: No Tricks, only Treats here. :)
