The lightest model in Porsche’s lineup upon its debut, the 981 Boxster Spyder shares many components with the high-performance GT4 and features signature double-hump fairings as well as a ducktail spoiler. This 2016 example pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.8-liter flat-six and comes finished in White over a Black leather and Alcantara interior. It was further optioned with 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, deviated stitching in red, the Infotainment Package with BOSE Surround Sound, Satin Black-painted 20” Boxster Spyder Design wheels, tinted taillights, and much more. This 981 Boxster Spyder is finished in White and shares its front and rear fascias with the Cayman GT4. Lightweight aluminum doors and a ducktail spoiler are paired with an aluminum rear boot lid concealing a manually operated canvas soft top. Options include body-colored safety bars, tinted taillights with clear center elements, and Satin Black-painted 20” Boxster Spyder Design wheels with colored Porsche-crested center caps. The wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires dated 2021 in front (9/32” tread) and 2019 in the rear (7/32” tread). Modifications include a red center stripe extending from the hood to the rear spoiler and below, “Spyder” decals on the side scoops, a Black Widow decal above the third brake light, and matching removable vinyl red pinstripes on the wheels. Additionally, OEM GT4 side scoops were sourced from Porsche, color-matched, and professionally installed. Full front paint protection film has been applied, showing some expected nicks from road use. A hardly noticeable scratch is noted beneath the passenger-side rocker panel from contact with a curb, which is said to have been mitigated by the protection film. Inside, the Black leather and Alcantara upholstery is complemented by red deviated stitching. Additional options include 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, Guards Red seatbelts, a fire extinguisher, the Light Design Package, a reversing camera, stainless steel illuminated door sill guards, aluminum pedals and footrest, and the Infotainment Package with the BOSE Surround Sound System. The seller notes that an OEM leather shifter with red stitching has been installed.
A naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine derived from the 911 Carrera S model delivers 375 HP stock to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH can be achieved in approximately 4.3 seconds. Standard performance features include Sport Chrono Package, dynamic transmission mounts, Sport Exhaust, and Sport Suspension, enhancing its already acclaimed performance. Maintenance highlights include replacement spark plugs at 17,414 miles (2/9/21), a new AGM H5 battery installed on 10/25/22, and newly replaced front hood struts. The first three services were completed by a Porsche dealer, with all subsequent maintenance performed by the seller, an experienced owner with a lift and proper tools, capable of matching or exceeding dealer-level care for routine service. A detailed service log is included.

My wife and I share a 991.2 Cup and race with PCA, POC and NASA. We bought a 2016 Spyder last year on an auction site, based on positive reviews and friends who raved. We were a bit skeptical, but after driving a Spyder for the past year or so, it’s all about the sound. It just sounds spectacular. If you fire it up, neighbors flock to see what it is. With the top down, when you downshift, it just crackles and burbles and makes you laugh. It’s a sharp-handling, precise car, and plenty quick. It’s nice and light - not bloated. Mainly, it’s just a blast to drive, and the looks of this car from the rear are so hard to beat. We paid around $100k for 3,000 miles and think we got a great deal. Learning to put the top up and down is a secret hand-shake and a fun skill to master.

@smithwn - I believe the final bid a month ago on this car was $85,250 - if it had sold the fees to the buyer would have been $4,263, for a total of $89,513 cost to the buyer... I'm guessing you included the expected buyer's fee and round up... :)
