Finished in Sapphire Blue Metallic over a Luxor Beige leather interior, this 2016 Porsche 981 is equipped with a 330-horsepower 3.4-liter flat-six engine paired with a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. At an original sticker price of over $93k, it was optioned with heated and ventilated 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, the Infotainment Package with BOSE Surround Sound, Premium Package Plus, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Porsche-crested headrests, a multifunction leather steering wheel, ParkAssist, Voice Control, and painted supplemental roll bars. It was configured and purchased new by the seller from Porsche Hilton Head and has been customized with a dealer-installed Martini decal set. Showing approximately 24k miles on the odometer, this one-owner Boxster GTS is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
Compared to a standard 981 Boxster, the GTS version features unique front and rear bumpers, black headlamp surrounds, and GTS door logos. This example is finished in Sapphire Blue Metallic with a blue convertible top and has been customized with a removable Martini Racing vinyl decal set that an authorized Porsche dealer professionally installed. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, aftermarket front grille protectors, a front tow hook, side air intakes, optional painted supplemental roll bars, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual center-mounted exhaust outlets, red brake calipers and silver wheels 20” Carrera S wheels. New Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were mounted in 2021 and retain approximately 7/32” of tread depth. The seller notes the car’s front end and mirrors were covered in clear paint protection film and a ceramic coating was applied to the exterior about two years ago. Three small scratches are present in the PPF and two small stone chips on the hood were repaired with paint touch-ups by a local autobody shop. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Luxor Beige leather upholstery including optional heated and ventilated 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus with Porsche-crested headrests. The optional Premium Package Plus equips the car with Porsche Entry & Drive, auto-dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor, 2-zone automatic climate control, and the Light Design Package. Other options include ParkAssist (front and rear) Voice Control, a multifunction leather steering wheel, a fire extinguisher, and the Infotainment Package with BOSE Surround Sound System. The seller indicates the car has been professionally retrofitted with integrated front and rear parking cameras, blind spot detection sensors, and an Apple CarPlay and Android Audio module.
Producing 330 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. The Boxster GTS comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), the Sport Chrono Package, and the Sport Exhaust System. This example was also optioned with a Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) differential. The seller indicates the car has been maintained exclusively by authorized Porsche dealers including a drive belt, pulley, and tensioner guide replacement in 2022 and a complete annual service with a brake fluid flush in October 2023. The car is covered under a transferrable extended vehicle protection plan through 1/29/2028.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a tire inflator, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “In addition to the extensive list of Porsche Factory Options, the car has professionally installed: Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto into OEM dash display; Front & Rear Camera built into dash display; Blind Spot Detection sensors and window displays. I have owned this extraordinary vehicle since new from the factory, and have 100% Porsche Dealership services. All maintenance is up-to-date, including major scheduled services with very new top-of-the line 20" Micheline Pilot Sport 4S tires.”

Bid in the amount of $16,981
Nice looking Boxster. The graphics around the air intakes make it look shorter too me. Wouldn’t stop me from driving it 🤣. I also love putting little individual touches to make cars to somewhat unique !
I meant to type *Personally, ...
Idk how to edit a comment here.
Personal opinion will vary, of course. Ordinal, I don't think it works on this color combo, which is otherwise an incredible color combo. If it was a manual I'd likely be delivering the high bid in this auction to replace my recently departed 981 BS 6MT that was equipped like a GTS, minus seats.
Good luck with the sale. Someone will be getting an awesome car.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I intend no disrespect when I share, "There's an ass for every seat". Some of us love the Martini livery, as I've also installed it on my "new" Targa 4 S; while some don't like to stand out, so I made the decals removable.
I've seen several Martini variants of on white, and one was quite striking as it transitioned to "invisible" at the front.
Having researched all this a great deal, I asked the manufacture of my Martini decal in add a WHITE perimeter to my decal set, fearing the multiple blues would clash. The WHITE perimeter very clearly separated the Sapphire Blue OEM paint from the Martini "Blue" hues and very much helps the Martini livery to POP in this color configuration. I've never seen another Porsche with this white perimeter added. When parked along side other Porsche's, this MARTINI livery naturally causes all eyes to be drawn to it!
I also installed the two Porsche/Martini "crests" to each side panel as a homage to the yellow crests on all Ferrari's I see around town.
Personally, I love the Martini graphics. If I ever found a deal too good to pass up on a white Porsche, I'd put Martini graphics on it. GLWTS!!
In 2009, I took delivery of a 911 Carrera, 997.2 Targa 4 S ordered to my specs from my Hilton Head dealer. This was my 4th Porsche, since my first Targa in 1987. After 6 years of enjoyment, I foolishly sold it and ordered the 2016 981 Boxster GTS being sold on this auction. As much as I loved this extraordinary machine (And had included dozens of special options to make it even more special, and made certain it was the naturally-aspirated 6-cylinder version and NOT the 4-cylider turbo motor in newer models) yet missed my beloved Targa so much. thereafter. (Feel free to compare on YouTube the 981 Boxsters from the 917 successors and you'll see my point).
So, I've spent the last 8 years trying to find my old Targa...
Recently, a nearly identical 997.2 Targa 4 S became available right here on PCARMARKET, and I jumped on it!
After 15 years, my "old" Targa was available again (Well, this one was 28 serial numbers older; but with all but two options on her build sheet different from my old sweetie).
Sadly, I now have seven vehicles with garage space for only six... so this extraordinary Porsche is now up for auction. (I know... but this is Naples, Florida after all).
She's been meticulously cared for, and I even had my local Porsche dealer perform a Pre Purchase Inspection so I could know about, and take care of, ANY problem areas. As you can read on these pages... she remains the 100% Ready To Roll gem she was when purchased new by me!
She's also won multiple, regional car shows in her class! (Sorry, but I intend to keep the trophies; but don't despair as there are many more awaiting this special Classic Gem out there!)
I'll do my best to answer any questions promptly and to the best of my knowledge.
If you choose, Porsche of Naples will prove ready and willing to perform a PPI for you too... and they were cheaper than I'd thought!
Be safe out there... and ENJOY!
Tom
@Z3SpdDmn The decals CAN be removed, and are OVER the PPF as I planned to keep my options open when having them installed.
I'm going to ask the question straight away... Can the graphics be removed? Are they over or under the PPF?
