Launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the RS version of Porsche’s 991 GT3 featured a new 4.0-liter flat-six engine along with wider Turbo-derived bodywork, louvered front fenders, and a large fixed rear wing. This 2016 example is finished in the sought-after Paint to Sample color of Voodoo Blue over a Black leather and Race-Tex interior with GT Silver stitching. It was optioned with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), the Front Axle Lift System, an extended range fuel tank, the Sport Chrono Package, Sound Package Plus, 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, Satin Black wheels, illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber, instrument dials in White, seatbelt sin Racing Yellow, and more. This highly optioned GT3 RS is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California with approximately 15k miles showing on the odometer.

Compared to the standard 991 GT3, the RS version includes wider rear fenders with integrated air-intakes borrowed from the 911 Turbo as well as louvered front fender vents, a lightweight magnesium roof, and a larger fixed rear wing. This example was ordered in Voodoo Blue, a rare color from Porsche’s exclusive Paint to Sample catalog. It also features optional body-colored headlight cleaner covers, yellow ceramic brake calipers, and 20”/21” GT2 RS center-lock wheels in Satin Black. The CARFAX report shows moderate to severe collision damage sustained in 2020 resulting in a total loss declaration from an insurance company. The car was subsequently repaired by the seller including refinishing the front bumper, hood, right front fender, rear bumper, decklid, and wing. The car is accompanied by a salvage/rebuilt title.

Inside, this GT3 RS features Black leather and Race-Tex upholstery complemented by GT Silver deviated stitching, optional illuminated carbon fiber door sill guards, seatbelts in Racing Yellow, and instrument dials in White. Other options include 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, the Front Axle Lift System, an extended-range fuel tank, Sound Package Plus, a fire extinguisher, a luggage net in the passenger footwell, the Sport Chrono Package, auto-dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio and HD Radio receivers.

This GT3 RS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine that delivers up to 500 HP to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission and a variable rear axle differential lock. Optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) are equipped, and the car comes standard with rear-axle steering, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+). The seller notes an aftermarket performance exhaust system is equipped and a new O2 sensor has been installed. The CARFAX report shows service completed at Beverly Hills Porsche in April 2022.

This sale will include a salvage/rebuilt title.

The seller would like you to know: “This is an amazing opportunity to own a legendary 2016 GT3 RS in Paint to Sample Voodoo Blue, and only 15k miles, for tens of thousands less than current market value, as it was in a previous accident to the right front. The vehicle was sent to us for repairs and restoration, it was both in an accident and vandalized. The original owner was unable to pay for the repairs, so we performed a mechanical lien sale on the vehicle, and we currently own the vehicle. Can be transferred with DMV lien sale documents or CA title in the buyer’s name. The buyer is responsible for transport fees. Full payment or deposit must be paid the following business day, after the auction ends. All questions must be asked before bidding, not after bidding.”

Attention all bidders, we have made the decision to withdraw this auction. To be fair to our bidders, we would not feel comfortable letting anyone conduct a transaction with this seller who has gone MIA. The seller has violated our terms and will no longer be authorized to sell on this platform.

  • Jarod964 (registered bidder) 11 months, 2 weeksago

@seller - based on the insurance auction record from 2021 when this car was sold in crashed condition (easy to find by googling VIN), the car was crashed with 15,042 miles. It seems the car was then repaired and taken for service in 2022, and we are now in 2024, yet the car shows the exact same mileage as its crash 3 years ago? So, it's never been driven, not even for a mile of testing, since repair, despite a trip to the dealer for service? Any explanation?

Would like to bid, but there are a lot of big question marks on this car even for a salvage....hoping you can tune in to clear some up before auction close. Thanks

  • Jarod964 (registered bidder) 11 months, 2 weeksago

What form of title would this car be sold on to an out of country buyer? CA title in you (the seller)'s name?

  • CarsonEllis (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@PCARMARKET Not asking you, sorry. Not really sure why it tagged you. I meant why the seller won’t answer questions. Lack of transparency

  • PCARMARKET 11 months, 3 weeksago

Were all repairs completed utilizing OEM replacement parts? Do you have receipts of parts list/part numbers?

  • GRK911 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

If one googles the vin there appears photos of the car wrecked. Could be worse but isnt the best

  • CarsonEllis (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@PCARMARKET is there a reason you aren’t answering any of the other questions?

  • PCARMARKET 11 months, 3 weeksago

@dinotom1 there is. It is a reserve auction.

  • Maddox (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

When I run the VIN it shows as a turbo S is it built like a gt3 or is it actually a gt3

  • dinotom1 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Is there a reserve on this auction, I don’t see the reserve indication?

  • Maurz (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Why not post repair process photos? You have them and know any serious bidder would want to see them. It’s easy to google the VIN and see the damage but that’s not the whole story.

  • Tmort (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Sellers silence and unwillingness to provide reasonably requested info seems to indicate they’re resigned to not selling this car on this format. She’s pretty, but unless I’m going to just park it and admire her, way too much not known here.

  • Timrose693 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Hi, interested as a driver, investment potential is pretty much in the rear view mirror now. N
My main concern is this: is the chassis true, 4 wheel alignment precise. Specs accurate after the repair. Etc. or, are there issues that cannot be resolved properly?

  • JSofro (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

    Love Voodoo blue.....

  • abacpm (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

The more forthright you are on auto damage the higher the price …… if the auction community doesn’t feel you are forthcoming 30% to 40% discount …… don’t be Ute wirh Title as branded …. Just say it’s salvaged

  • abacpm (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

    What’s does this mean

    Title Status: Branded

After doing an admittedly minimal amount of research online attempting to learn something about Wicked Motorsports, I would say that they are a company that has truly found a niche market to work in, and have created a particularly interesting (to me, at least) business model. If one consults the modern miracle of the inter-web, you’ll find this company has been in business for well over a decade and a half, and caters to relatively well healed dreamers who hope to own the car of their desires at a deeply discounted rate. There is a Ferrari chat group that has a Porsche subset, and in a chat discussion about whether Wicked Motorsports is a reputable company, one of the respondents posted this reply:

    {Personally I would have no problem buying a [Wicked Motorsport] salvage title car under three conditions. First, that I knew exactly why it was salvaged along with pictures and a complete repair history of what was fixed. Second, that I was able to do an extensive inspection of the car. And three, that it was purchased "right" (i.e. at a price that makes the deal work)}

I think the observations that this individual makes are particularly salient with this auction offering. Wicked Motorsport has every right to offer this car on this website, and while I don’t think they’re completely forthcoming with the information that I would personally need to feel good about purchasing this car, I also don’t feel they are necessarily hiding anything with malevolent intent. Bottom line is that Pcar is running a web-based business of auctioning cars, and Wicked Motorsport is in the business of rehabbing salvaged automobiles and selling them at a profit, in addition to their extensive aftermarket parts supply offerings. At the end of the day, as with every online purchase, two words remain… ‘Buyer beware’

Cheers, and GLWTA ladies and gents.

  • Slyun531 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

This company seems to have a dubious reputation online. Check out the reviews and read the forums guys. Im a little surprised pcarmarket allowed them to list given their seemingly not so great reputation.

  • G7miami (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Repair photos requested. Specifically was it on a frame machine? Photos on bench please.

  • wickedrider1 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

    @smittone Same here

  • gfcollins911 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

BigPCarGuy: Completely agree with important questions posed. I had a track incident in the late 2000s in my 993. Rear frame was deformed by over four inches, but a great repair shop with proper equipment brought it back to completely straight and true, without even so much as a fender repair. Although, I never recouped the full value of the original car, it has served me and subsequent owners very well for many years. Complete transparency, especially on auction sites, is always the best policy! Otherswise, RNM and a black eye with auctioneer.

  • BigPCarGuy (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@delanodp asks a pretty important question here, which has seemingly been ignored. It'd be vital to get an answer to that question, otherwise I think a lot of buyers will be turned away from this auction.

  • smittone (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Thanks! I saw those after your comment but I was still hoping for more detailed photos. Especially more information on the repairs since the seller did those.

  • Bay22 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Oh nevermind it’s still there. Weird, haha.

  • Bay22 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@smittone I think Pcar market deleted my comment. If you google the vin you’ll see the damages. They were extensive.

  • smittone (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

I messaged the seller directly for the damage photos two days ago and have yet to get a response. I agree with gfcollins. No idea why the seller can’t just upload the photos and be transparent with so many people requesting more information on the damage.

  • gfcollins911 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@wickedmotorworks Why can”t you just upload the requested pics/videos so that PCar so can post? It could lift a cloud that’s obviously hanging over a beautiful and desirable car.

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@wickedrider1 Text direct for pics and videos

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Tmort 50-60, about a month ago, text direct for pics / videos

  • delanodp (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

I see unibody damage in the pics online... do you have a straightening bench? How close to 'spec' were you able to straighten it? Did you re-coat with factory coatings after repair? Did you use OEM panels for replacement? Any body fill anywhere on the car?

  • wickedrider1 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Can you send photos of the damage

  • Bay22 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@smittone If you google the vin you can see the damage to this car.

  • Tmort (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

How many miles have been put on the car since repairs were completed? When were they completed?
Will there be a driving video?

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@smittone We did the repairs and restoration

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@smittone For pre-repair photos, please text direct

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@Tmort Broken windshield, stolen seats, stolen exhaust
Repainted, bumpers, right fender, hood, trunk, wing.

  • smittone (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Invoices and docs of the repairs?

  • smittone (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Can you post pictures of the damages?

  • Tmort (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

    What was the vandalism damage?
    Which body panels were repainted?

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@husks002 Yes, the seats were replaced

  • robbylou (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

They are replacement 18-way seats. They would’ve had yellow stitching to match the dash and door panels. The seats are missing in the pics of the car if you Google the vin.

  • husks002 (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Are those seats from another car? I thought the 18-ways all had alcantara insert with GT3RS stitching on headrest?

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

@19-kilo No, they are the sport comfort seats

  • 19-kilo 11 months, 3 weeksago

Are the seats original? Seems to look off with the chrome. But I don't see 18 ways often in RS.

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Damage to the front right, bumper, headlight, fender, hood, and cooling system. We acquired it damaged, via lien sale, rebuilt it and offering for sale. For pre-repair photos text direct please

  • tunaman (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Do you have pictures pre rehab? What was the extent of the damage/location on the car? Does it come with records of the rebuild? Thanks.

  • wickedmotorworks (seller) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Damage to the front right, bumper, headlight, fender, hood, and cooling system

  • litewavedave (registered bidder) 11 months, 3 weeksago

Can you describe what was the accident reported in CARFAX?
