A special-edition model for the final year of the 991.1 Carrera and its naturally aspirated engine, the 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera Black Edition features a dark monochromatic theme and premium features including dynamic LED headlamps, 20” 911 Turbo wheels, heated Sport Seats, Sport Chrono Package, Bose Surround Sound System, a SportDesign steering wheel, and more. This example was enjoyed by its first owner for two years and just over 14k miles before it was traded in, sold, and eventually acquired by the seller as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in January 2019. It has since been fitted with an AWE exhaust system, an AP Racing big brake kit, front-end paint protection film, and a full ceramic coating. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this Carrera Black Edition is being offered for auction once again by its seller out of North Carolina with approximately 40k miles showing on the odometer.
The Black Edition comes finished in Jet Black Metallic and is equipped with a “911” rear model designation, LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+), and 20” 911 Turbo wheels. This example features aftermarket AWE exhaust tips, protective radiator grille screens, and white LED side marker lights. Clear 3M paint protection film has been applied to the front bumper, hood, mirrors, and doors, and a ceramic coating was applied to the exterior in July 2020. New Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were also mounted in February 2022 at 36,788 miles. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report.
The Black Edition is equipped as standard with heated Sport Seats, a SportDesign steering wheel, Bose Surround Sound System, and door sills with “Black Edition” logos. Other standard features for this model include auto-dimming mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and ParkAssist with a reversing camera. This example was also optioned with seat ventilation, Porsche Entry & Drive, Power Steering Plus, and an electric slide/tilt sunroof in glass. The seller notes that all-season WeatherTech mats have been added to the front footwells and trunk, and the original carpet mats are included with the sale.
Up to 345 HP is sent to the rear wheels from a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. With the optional Sport Chrono Package, the Carrera reaches 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 4.4 seconds. This example has been upgraded with an aftermarket AWE exhaust system and an AP Racing big brake kit with two-piece rotors, 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers. The original exhaust is included in the sale. The seller indicates routine service is up to date including a new battery in June 2023 and an oil/filter change in February 2024.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, carpet mats, the original exhaust, and a clean title.

I'm uploading the CarFax report from March 2019: "No accidents/damage reported to CARFAX"
Yes it does, and yes I do have them.
Sucks about the carfax issues! Do you happen to have the reports from the previous times you ran them?
Bid in the amount of $32,000
Brakes were last flushed in May 2023. I don't know what the PPI means when they say "customer requests four year service". There was a major service done at about 20K miles (mainly spark plugs) that the previous owner had paid for in advance. I replaced the rear lid struts myself last August. If I were keeping the car, the next thing would be belts (based on time, not wear).
@crowen - When was the brake fluid last flushed? What was the PPI including in the "4 year service" that was recommended? Thanks.
Undercarriage photos from today (2/28) have been uploaded as requested.

Kudos and thanks to the sharp-eyed PCAR followers! One of the L-clips holding the dirt guard had pulled away. I didn't see it before. I'm taking it to my guy today to re-attach. I'll see if we can put it on the lift and get some undercarriage photos at the same time.
Bid in the amount of $31,250
@halvkd I see it too. Shows up in 3 photos. It’s the plastic dirt guard. Any pics on the undercarriage?
You're welcome. It's just the way the light was reflecting on it. There's nothing there. I can take another photo in today's flat light and upload it if you like.
@crowen Thanks for the replies. I'm looking at photo 31 for the driver side under bumper spoiler lip. Thank you.
Correction to the PCAR narrative above: the original exhaust is NOT included with the sale. I didn't keep it after I had the new AWE exhaust installed in early 2020.
There was a slight abrasion to the underside of the passenger-side spoiler lip, scraped on a concrete parking strip a while ago. Very minor and successfully repaired in August 2023 . Driver-side is perfect. Maybe the photo angle?
@crowen
I understand that CarFax is not infallible, so thanks for sharing your experience. What was the minor incident in August of '23? I noticed the driver side front spoiler lip looks unclipped or detached. Thanks.
Sorry - should be "CPO" (certified pre-owned).
Glad you asked that. The Carfax report from January 2019 when I bought the car (PPO from dealer) was clean. I ran another report in 2022 when I first put the car up on PCAR to update for routine services, etc.: also clean. I ran a third report in August 2023 and it suddenly showed "minor to moderate damage in NOVEMBER 2016". I couldn't believe it. I was sure it was an error by Carfax and I asked them to investigate. They came back after a week and said it was not an error but they refused to provide me with any specifics, citing confidentiality of their sources. I still believe the report is erroneous. I've had the car thoroughly checked by people who know what to look for and they can find nothing. It's inconceivable to me that Carfax could suddenly unearth a damage report seven years later, however I'm obliged to provide their report, as unlikely as it is.
Do you have any details on the accident damage (both incidents)? PCAR said the CarFax is clean, but it shows two incidents. Thank you.

Welcome to the auction! This is my first Porsche and I've loved every minute of owning and driving it. You'll see that some systems (brakes, exhaust) have received useful upgrades however the engine is stock. Early on I drove in some PCA-sponsored HPDE events to learn the car's capabilities, something I would recommend to any Porsche owner. The car has been kept in pristine condition, always garaged and routinely detailed professionally. The successful bidder will find this is great for daily driving as well as winding backgrounds such as we enjoy here in central NC. Good luck and please let me know your questions.
