I confirmed that there are three open recalls with Porsche. They are recalls so no out of pocket expense to the next owner. 1. Airbag- software update 2. Coolant reservoir - replace 3.Heat shield - (Exhaust) Dealer to extend by retrofit. The new owner can provide the VIN and schedule the work. The aftermarket exhaust may have solved the heatshield issue. The dealer that performs the work can check and advise.
Wheel removal requires the use of the special socket
Under the plastic cover in the frunk. 400 ft/lbs torque wrench (and 4 ft breaker bar) are required for the wheel removal. Don’t forget the Porsche special wheel assembly grease made from Harp Seal tears. I’ve done this a number of time on multiple GT cars that I have owned. The first time go slow and follow the directions. After that it’s straight forward. The torque wrench/breaker bar tool is not cheap. If you think you may only do it once or twice get it done by a pro.
I have to also ask on the same CARFAX report page in your pics is something about an airbag recall and the beginning of the CARFAX it states one open recall? Then there is the heat shield recall? There are U-Tube videos on removing Center Lock Wheels and you were right on the 400 pound with a “long arm torque wrench “ but I’m no mechanic. Just an interested pcarmarket “bidder”
@SVAutoClub @SVAutoShep yes this is something I saw on on pictures 76 CARFAX about the heat shield recall. I don’t know what that is either, it states to contact PORSCHE to find a dealer to repair?
@FinnytheJRT9 Taking off the wheels is not dealer specific. We installed the new tires at the Sun Valley Auto Club. The Turbo comes with the tool for the wheel. You do need a torque wrench that can set the torque properly. I believe that is 400lbs.
@FinnytheJRT9 The seats are ventilated, heated and cooled. Grayish, Green seats, they are fantastic. I've never seen that color before, gorgeous. No knowledge of the recall. I'll work on learning more.
Do you have to take the car to a dealership to have a center lock wheel taken off to balance or replace or repair a tire?
Bid in the amount of $110,000
One question I have are the seats ventilated? Can I ask what happened with that heat shield recall? Is the grey interior “brownish”in color?
Bid in the amount of $60,000
