Now up for auction is this 2016 Porsche 911R finished in White over a Black and Tarpan Brown leather interior with Custom Tailoring. A modern 911 intended for the most discerning of driving purists, the 911R is a back-to-basics sports car developed with a sole focus on lightweight performance and driver-oriented sensation. Produced in a limited run of 991 examples worldwide, the 911R was offered exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, ceramic composite brakes, magnesium and carbon-fiber body panels, vintage-style houndstooth upholstery, and at its heart, a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine. This particular example, #625/991, came factory equipped with a host of desirable options include a single-mass flywheel, the Front Axle Lift System, extended leather upholstery, and deviated stitching throughout the cabin. A collector’s item from day one, this beautifully appointed 911R is now being offered for auction by its owner out of New Jersey while showing just over 800 miles on the odometer.
Inspired by the original 911R of the late 1960s, this limited-edition 991 is finished in White with contrasting over-the-top racing stripes. The entirety of the exterior has been preserved by Xpel paint protection film; detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Based on the GT3 RS, the 911R utilizes magnesium for its roof as well as carbon fiber for its hood, rear decklid, and front fenders. In place of a rear wing is a simple fixed engine cover with a vintage-style 911R emblem on the grille. Exclusive exterior details selected for this example include painted headlight cleaner covers, SportDesign exterior mirrors with upper trims in carbon fiber, LED headlights in black, and painted side skirts. Factory Custom Tailoring also includes Porsche logos along both doors in Geranium Red with stripes in gloss black, 911R top stripes in Geranium Red, and 20” GT3 center-lock wheels painted completely in Guards Red. The PCCB calipers have also been custom powder coated in White to complement the color scheme on this example.
Inside, you will find a Black and Tarpan Brown leather interior with full carbon bucket seats. Special 911R-specific details include vintage-style black instrument dials with green markings, nostalgic houndstooth upholstered seat centers, and a limitation placard denoting this example’s individual production number. Deviated red stitching can be seen throughout the cabin along with extended leather upholstery on the dashboard, door panels, and floormat edges. Custom Tailoring specified from the factory includes a customized Sport steering wheel with a center mark and stitching in Guards Red, bucket seat belt passages painted in Guards Red, and carbon fiber door sill guards with model designations illuminated in red. A detailed list of factory options is provided below:
Power is derived from a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six engine that sends up to 500 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission including a lightweight single-mass flywheel and a conventional limited-slip differential. The adjustable suspension components were carried over from the GT3 RS and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) are equipped as standard along with a lightweight titanium exhaust. The 911R comes in at a claimed curb weight of 3021 lbs. and offers acceleration from 0-60 MPH in as little as 3.5 seconds with a top speed of just over 200 MPH. All scheduled maintenance has been carried out including a preemptive 20k mile service in January of 2020.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner's manuals, a Porsche Productions Specifications sheet, a set of two keys, a 911R car cover, and a clean title. A visceral driver-oriented 911 and a testament to Porsche's craftmanship, this collector-grade 911R awaits its next caretaker.

Sold for $478,000
@Boattail Agreed. This the modern equivalent to the 964 RS....with A/C. The 997 4.0 RS is more track oriented, race car...this is a street car. But it is the best liquid cooled 911 street car and a privilege to drive. It will prove to be the last truly special car Porsche ever builds. Congratulation to the new owner.

@watches thank you for your interest. The reserve is not disclosed and won't be disclosed until after the auction. Please bid to win and bid with confidence on this car, it's really special.
Apologies if this is common knowledge but I couldn’t find anything in the FAQ... is there anywhere to see if this or other auctions have hit their reserve once a bid crosses that threshold? Thanks all.

For those who have not driven a 911R , no other Modern Porsche drives so raw. Rattles when it idles because it wants to be driven hard! Somehow smooth and rough all at the same time. If you’re looking for a visceral feel there isn’t a better choice!
@medlaw I do not have a DME report. The car is in storage and I don't want to drive the car to a dealer and add any miles. It is a low mileage car, has been very well taken care of and has never been tracked.

@medlaw thank you for your interest in the car. I am the third owner, I purchased the car in January 2020.
Please see picture 169, which was just added, that details all the custom tailoring options ordered new from the factory.
The only other thing not stock on the car besides the calipers are the clear lights, pictures 17 and 48. The original lights are included with the car, picture 159.
There has been no paintwork to the car and the entire car is covered in Xpel paint protection film.
Hopefully this helps!
@cjminio Very interested. Are you the original owner? The custom tailoring, specifically, what did you change from stock (other than the brake calipers)? Any paintwork? Does it have a clearbra on it? Thank you.
