Representing the final generation of naturally aspirated Carreras, this 2016 Porsche 991 Carrera S Coupe is finished in GT Silver Metallic over Espresso Natural Leather. It was configured at an original MSRP of over $134k, featuring the Sport Exhaust System, 20” SportTechno wheels, Bose Audio Package, Premium Package Plus, Sport Chrono Package, Power Steering Plus, ParkAssist, and a rare sunroof delete. Acquired by the seller in early 2021, this example is now being offered for auction out of Texas with less than 26k miles showing on the odometer. Click here to view the previous PCARMARKET listing.
This 991 is finished in GT Silver Metallic with custom removable 911R-style racing stripes and Porsche script graphics along the lower doors. Factory options include a rare sunroof delete, a roof transport system, and exclusive black-painted 20” SportTechno wheels mounted with 2019-dated Pirelli P Zero tires. Clear paint protection film covers the front bumper, hood, headlights, and mirror covers. A hardly noticeable paint chip is noted on the passenger door. The CARFAX report shows damage to the right front in 2018, with the right front fender reportedly repaired and a branded rebuilt title issued as a result. A Lemon Squad inspection report is included in the gallery.
Inside, the premium Espresso Natural Leather upholstery is complemented by the optional Brushed Aluminum Interior Package. A complete list of factory specifications is provided below:
Factory-rated at 400 HP and 325 lb-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivers power to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Standard features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), while optional performance equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, Power Steering Plus, and the Sport Exhaust System. The seller notes routine oil changes every six months since acquiring the car in March 2021, with no outstanding maintenance items reported.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, sales literature, and a rebuilt title.
The seller would like you to know: “I purchased this example completely repaired from a Porsche dealer after damage noted on CARFAX. Under my ownership, it has always been garaged, never tracked, and only driven in the south throughout Alabama and Texas. There have been zero issues in the 4 years I’ve owned it.”

@nicholaschiang I just noticed that the caption written by the inspector on the picture with a slight burn on the seat is not from a cigarette. Not sure what caused that very small burn but does not affect the seat operations of heating and cooling whatsoever. Even further, the assumption by the inspector that it’s a cigarette burn is completely false because there are no signs of smoking in this car. I am not a smoker and therefore no cigarette smell or odor that a cigarette leaves behind. This is a false comment and untrue. This is a non-smoker car!
@nicholaschiang Hello. I’m not sure what cigarette burn you are referring to in the inspection but I have never smoked in this car and does not have any lingering smoke odor/smell whatsoever.
Bid in the amount of $30,000
I noticed the cigarette burn noted in the lemon squad inspection. How often have cigarettes been smoked inside the vehicle? Is there any lingering cigarette smoke odor in the interior?

@nicholaschiang Hello. It’s well specced Porsche and yes my own personal car. Never raced or tracked.
Bid in the amount of $18,000
@nicholaschiang Hello. Yes, very well spaced. I am selling because I’ve had my fun with this car and ready to move on with trying out electric vehicles as my next experience.
This looks like a very well specced 991 c2s! I’m just curious: Why are you selling the car? Why now? Was this your own personal vehicle?
@astonut Hello. It is just black paint protection film (ppf) installed by the same auto detailing company who installed the racing stripes. The old ppf on that center grill was pealing off in certain parts so they added that black ppf.
The information about the classic insurance was very helpful, thank you.
I have one additional question please. The front bumper spoiler has some damage that was shown in your images, but I also noted that the center grille opening appears to be painted black? Tape or paint?
Bid in the amount of $17,000
@andyawb Thank you for that information! That is good to know that a well known and respected insurance company like Hagerty takes on branded titles/rebuilt cars.
FWIW I spoke with Hagerty (who I use for the rest of my specialty cars) and they said they regularly insured branded title/rebuilt cars, but they would need an inspection to verify that any repairs were "professionally performed". Recommend speaking with your own insurer or call Hagerty
@astonut Hello and thank you for bidding. As this is my first purchase as well of a theft car and a Porsche at that, I do not have answers to your questions. It might be best to call your current insurance company and ask your questions if a collision insurance policy would cover all repairs. Also what if another vehicle caused the damages, I think their insurance company would cover all cost of repairs because there are currently no damages to the vehicle. Just my thoughts on this and not experienced with insurance claims on a rebuilt/salvage/theft vehicle.
Bid in the amount of $15,000
I am curious about the insurance issues relating to the theft branded title. My state, Oklahoma, has recently changed to different titles for salvage, rebuilt, theft, vs the standard issue. I'm confident in the ability to transfer the title to my state in some form, but I am concerned about the insurance coverage and payout in the event of an accident loss? Anyone have any experience with an insurance claim on a second time around their recovery like this one? Sorry if this is a little off topic. I do have an interest in your 991, but I am uneasy about these unknowns.
@andyawb Hi Andy. Thanks for the bid. I’m sorry to say that I don’t have any of the information you are requesting unfortunately. The non-Porsche dealership I bought the car from also couldn’t get any past history about the car as I also asked the same questions. I’m sorry about that. I would guess that it was a reputable auto body shop because there are no signs of damage and mechanical or electrical issues at all. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed driving this car and not one problem. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Nice example here. Any photos or notes about the moderate damage reported to the front and front right of the vehicle from the accident on 02/02/2018? If not, any way that you know what shop did the repairs?
Also regarding the Carfax entry about the key reprogramming at Porsche Gold Coast in Jericho NY, was there anything else that was done after the theft other than programming new keys?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@PorschePhanatic Hello. Here are the answers to your questions the best I know it; 1. Yes, only one key which is what I got from the dealer and really didn’t need another one 2. That is not rust but a coloration of the car cover that is color red that scraped the PPF and now has that brown looking coloration. I can send you a pic of the car under the car cover 3. The rebuilt title is based on the theft of the car not the damage from the accident 4. I am the same owner as 4 and 5. I guess it’s separated since I registered in Alabama and then moved to Texas. 5. The racing stripes are not not sun-burned in to the paint because it’s always garaged. Hope this provides some more clarity for you and the car’s condition. Please ask any more questions if anything comes to mind.
@porschephanatic Seller commented that under his/her ownership the vehicle was only driven in Alabama and Texas. So sounds like seller moved and is Owner No. 4 and 5 on the Carfax.
@xray0723. Hello Seller - Nice - car - great interior - a few questions 1) only 1 Key? 2) PPF on front, but the nick shows is through the PPF? Page 82 - is that an area of rust or what is the brown coloration from? In the Paint thickness pics- how is there a 1 mil reading? Thin Paint? Can you open your auction by talking about the Rebuilt Title in detail? What research you did to get past the Rebuilt title? Do you have pics from previous owner? Carfax says you bought 1/11/2023 (so you owned for 2 yrs 6 months) - your listing says in the '4' years you owned it and the 3200 miles you drove. Which is it? Lastly - when were the stripes added as I am wondering if they may have "sun-burn-in" when removed. Thanks and GLWS
