Based on a 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500, this diesel-powered high-roof van has been transformed into a luxury shuttle by the specialists at the Explorer Van Company. It features custom silver gradient paintwork, painted side steps, Mandrus wheels, individual captain’s chairs, a smart TV, sun blinds, ambient lighting, a climate control system, and a folding 3-person rear bench seat that converts to a daybed. Showing approximately 44k miles on the odometer, this custom one-owner Sprinter luxury van is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
The coachbuilder applied custom silver gradient paintwork and installed matching painted side steps along with aftermarket Mandrus wheels. This high-roof van comes equipped with bi-xenon headlights, daytime running lights, halogen fog lamps, double rear doors, a sliding right-side door, an underbody spare wheel carrier, mud flaps, a rearview camera, and tinted windows. The seller notes a dent is present on the driver’s side roof and the paint remains in good overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The passenger compartment features 4 individual captain chairs and a folding 3-person rear bench/daybed in two-tone grey leather. Amenities include side window blinds, dimmable ambient lighting, integrated cup holders, climate control, an integrated sound system, and a Samsung smart TV. The driver and front passenger are also situated in power-adjustable captain’s chairs and are provided with a center console cup holder, charging ports, a multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, and an infotainment system with Bluetooth and navigation. The seller reports all electronics and accessories are fully functional.
This Sprinter 2500 is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine sending power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. It comes standard with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill-start assist, blind spot assist, lane-keeping assist, and collision prevention assist. The seller notes an oil service was recently completed and additional maintenance history is provided in the CARFAX report.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a very cool find. With new ones selling in the mid-6- figures, finding a nice low-mileage diesel high-roof sprinter with all of the modern luxury amenities is not so easy. This is a great value and looking forward to seeing the interest from the bidders on this one. It is available to look at before bidding if you desire.”

No doubt, it’s an ambitious DIY project to go from luxury liner to full on camper van.
I’ve gotta take few hours to sleep on this one.
Mañana!
@WRENCH.56 hi. The van was used for trips from NY to a second residence in VA. All highway miles. The bench in the rear folds flat, yes two people can fit on it but it depends on your definition of comfortable. If I had to estimate i would equate it to the size of a single to full size bed. As far as the galley is concerned I would not want to mislead you in any way. The seats are fully removable with a quick release and it would be simple to put a table in, I’ve seen it done. Hope that helps. They way it sits it’s a beautiful luxury liner for 6-9 people.

A few questions please:
1. What was this van used for? Lots of short distance passenger hauls to airports, etc.?
2. You mention a “day bed” configuration for the folding rear seat. Is it useful as a comfortable bed for two?
3. If one were to remove the second row of seats and perhaps some interior finish panels, is it suitable for conversion to a small galley and folding dining table?
Thanks in advance for your honest answers.

@THEOTHERBORIS hi
I’ll try to get an answer for you on the tires but what I can tell you is they have a ton of tread and are in great shape. I seriously doubt they are the originals and am confident they will not need to be changed. If for some chance the dates turn out to be 8 years or older I am happy to replace them for the winning bidder. No rattles from the door and it’s not power.
How old are the tires?
Does it have a power siding door? Any rattles from the sliding door?
