Based on the AMG GT, the Mercedes-AMG GT S features a 503-horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 engine, electronically controlled limited-slip differential, AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension, AMG Adaptive Performance Exhaust System, staggered 19”/21” wheels, and dedicated race modes via AMG Dynamic Select. This 2016 GT S Coupe is finished in Designo Diamond White Metallic over a Beige and black leather interior and features the optional cross-spoke forged wheels, a panoramic roof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and the AMG Dynamic Plus, Exterior Carbon, and Track packages. Showing just over 29k miles on the odometer, this example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia.

This example is finished in Designo Diamond White Metallic and equipped with the optional Exterior Carbon Fiber Package, which includes a carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser, side fins, and mirror covers, complemented by gloss black window trim. Additional exterior features include LED headlights and taillights, hood and fender vents, a panoramic roof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual chrome exhaust outlets. It rides on optional 19”/20” AMG cross-spoke forged wheel wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires driven less than 500 miles. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor damage from a rear-end collision in October 2021.

The cabin features heated, power-adjustable AMG Performance seats upholstered in Beige and black leather with white accents and stitching. Carbon fiber trim adorns the cabin, while amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless-Go entry, a rearview camera, a COMAND infotainment system with navigation, and a Burmester surround sound system. The seller notes a minor lift on the dashboard due to heat exposure at the front. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.

Power is provided by a hand-built 4.0-liter M178 Biturbo V8 engine, delivering a factory-rated 515 HP and 494 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. The AMG GT introduces the innovative “hot inside V” configuration, with both turbochargers mounted between the cylinder banks to enhance performance and minimize turbo lag. A dry-sump lubrication system supports optimal engine function under high-performance conditions. Performance features include a dynamic AMG Sport Exhaust, AMG Dynamic Select drive modes with a dedicated RACE mode, and AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension. The optional AMG Dynamic Plus Package further enhances handling with firmer damping, recalibrated steering, and increased negative camber for the front wheels. Additionally, it has been modified with a catalytic converter delete and a stage 2 tune to boost performance. It has also recently undergone an oil change and routine maintenance.

This sale will include a window sticker, a toolkit, a sales brochure, and a rebuilt title.

The seller would like you to know: “I unfortunately let a friend drive the car and he rear-ended someone at a low speed. They couldn’t gauge the nose of the vehicle so I had to pay for the repair out of pocket because at the time I figured I would keep the car forever so I then went and spent another 8k on tuning it after the accident. But things changed and now I think it’s time to move on but great vehicle and everything besides the tune and cats are the only modifications from the factory I had done to the vehicle.”

@JaelinR you mentioned in the seller note above that "they couldn't gauge the nose of the vehicle". Can you explain what that means as, If they could not determine the extent of the damage as defined by the Carfax reported front-end accident, how could they determine that there were not parts available? Receipts of your repairs to the incident would be beneficial in helping determine the severity of the damage.

Also, is the title currently in your possession able to be conveyed?

I have also uploaded photos of all the work that was completed on the vehicle as well.

@collectorcars it was considered a total loss in through my insurance when I tried to get the vehicle fixed through them then they told me they wouldn’t fix it for two reasons. One parts availability and second I wasn’t the one behind the wheel at the time so it left me to pay the bill out of pocket.

@KayaknFly I purchased the vehicle 09/05/2021 the vehicle still has a lien through Wells Fargo so I do not have the actual title in hand. I can also put in the actual receipts of all the work the was done to the car as well. On the Carfax it is incorrect and being transparent I wasn’t sure who to call or how to get it corrected on there.

Very interesting carfax vrs seller report.
Does the seller realize this is a total loss vehicle with a branded title? Was it issued a rebuilt title?
Carfax states current owner acquired the car in January of 2022, which was after the accident on the carfax.
@seller is this correct and you bought the car knowing or not knowing about the title and carfax? Then later under your ownership it had another accident which wasn’t reported to insurance?
Also a picture of the actual title (with your name and address covered) would help people see what kind of title it has (salvage, rebuilt etc).
Then since you paid for repairs to the possible second accident pictures of that damage in detail would help your auction.

@seller @pcarmarket I’m confused is this a minor rear end collision or is this a total loss?

@Bpenderg in the process of trying to upload them now.

  • JaelinR (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

@msummitt yes but I do have the original Cats and they will come with the vehicle.

  • Bpenderg (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

    How about a driving video?

  • msummitt 1 month, 1 weekago

Silly question: Catalytic Converter Delete? I assume that means will be unable to get this thing smogged / registered in most states?

  • JaelinR (seller) 1 month, 1 weekago

Yes there wasn’t an official report on the vehicle that’s why I’m not sure how car fax even has that as a description I also have a picture of the damage when it happened no airbags deployed no original windows on the vehicle were damaged no structural damage. Only the front end of the vehicle had damage.

  • gwistrup (registered bidder) 1 month, 1 weekago

It might be to the seller's advantage if he would explain the drastic difference between the CARFAX report and what is described in the listing.
