The M4 GTS was released as the high-performance track-oriented version of the F82 M4, fitted with a water-injection system, carbon-ceramic brakes, an adjustable three-way coilover suspension, a four-point roll bar, adjustable carbon-fiber aerodynamics, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Upon its release, it held the title as the fastest production BMW to lap the Nürburgring, besting the standard M4’s time by a whopping 24 seconds. This 2016 example is one of just 700 produced worldwide and 300 delivered to the United States, and was ordered in Mineral Gray Metallic over a black leather and Alcantara interior. Now showing approximately 3000 miles on the odometer, this M4 GTS is being offered at auction by the seller based out of Florida.
The exterior was specified in Mineral Gray Metallic (B39), one of four exclusive color options for this model, accented with gloss black Shadowline trim and black kidney grilles. The bodywork of the M4 GTS is constructed of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) to save weight, including the GTS-specific hood, roof, trunk lid, rear valence, adjustable front splitter, and rear wing. Equipment includes full adaptive LED headlights, OLED dynamic tail lights, aerodynamic wing mirrors, front and rear Park Distance Control sensors, and gold-finished carbon-ceramic brake calipers with tri-color M logos. The 20” BMW Style 666M wheels are mounted with new high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
The cabin of the M4 GTS features a track-focused driver-oriented design, featuring lightweight 2-way power-adjustable M-Sport seats upholstered in black leather and Alcantara, which extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. An Acid Orange four-point roll bar and Alcantara-wrapped CFRP panels replace the rear seats. The door panels are constructed with lightweight recycled material with M-striped fabric door pulls that match the M-striped stitched safety belts. Equipment includes an Alcantara-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel with M-colored deviated stitching and an orange 12 o’clock marking at the top. Standard equipment includes BMW iDrive navigation, a heads-up display, automatic climate control, and Parking Distance Control.
The M4 GTS is powered by a twin-turbocharged S55 inline 6-cylinder engine producing as much as 493 HP and 443 lb.-ft of torque. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, carbon fiber driveshaft, and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential drive the rear wheels, allowing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 190 MPH. The GTS is equipped with a special water injection system that sprays a fine mist of distilled water directly into the intake system over 5k RPM, reducing overall internal engine temperature and allowing for increased boost pressure. Weight-saving measures include a single-piece carbon-fiber driveshaft and a titanium exhaust system, as well as the 6-piston front and 4-piston rear carbon-ceramic braking system. The M-Drive system allows the driver to select multiple combinations of throttle, transmission, and stability control modes, with a special M Dynamic Mode designed for track use. The seller reports this M4 GTS has received regular annual oil changes and inspections, with the last record showing an oil service performed by BMW of Winter Park, Florida in May of 2021.
This sale will include 2 keys, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a model-specific car cover, and a battery tender.
