Up for auction is this 2015 Porsche 981 Cayman S finished in Black over Agate Grey and Amber Orange leather. In addition to its striking interior package, this Cayman S was ordered with optional Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), roof lining in Alcantara, a SportDesign steering wheel, Sport Suspension, painted wheels, and more. It was sold new in Florida and acquired by the current owner in November of 2021 followed by a comprehensive inspection and recommended service. Showing approximately 85k miles on the odometer, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction out of California.
The exterior is finished in nonmetallic Black (A1) with matching 19” Cayman S wheels and colored Porsche crest center caps. The rear model designation was omitted from the factory and protective black mesh grilles were added behind the front air intakes by the current owner. It has also been recently fitted with a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Some signs of road-going wear are noted on the lower front bumper as well as a small scratch above the driver’s window and touched-up dings on the hood. The rear bumper is also said to have been replaced following the minor damage reported on CARFAX in 2015. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with the full CARFAX report.
Inside, this Cayman S features a Leather Package in Agate Grey and Amber Orange with optional roof lining in Alcantara and a SportDesign steering wheel. Other features include Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Bose Surround Sound System, and Sirius XM satellite radio. The seller notes a renewable SPARTAN GPS tracking service has been added and is active for the next two years.
This Cayman S is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine rated at 325 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.5 seconds. Optional Sport Suspension is equipped along with Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) for improved performance. After the seller's purchase in October of 2021, the car was inspected by Don Wise Porsche of Cambell, California, followed by recommended service including new shock absorbers, brake pads, rotors, tires, and a custom wheel alignment. The car is recently due for an oil change as indicated on the dashboard.

@Brcjets - yes, the car was originally from FL - driven up and down Rt 95 for a couple years hence the miles. Your wife will love the PDK - especially the manual paddles. The PDK shifts faster than a manual, and it is just as much fun since in manual mode with the paddles it is just like having a manual. Anyhow - good luck with the auction. It ends tomorrow. Unfortunately I’m in your cars home state of Florida. I’ve been quoted $2K in an enclosed transport to get the car home. My wife will be sharing the car and she no longer has interest in a manual.
@Brcjets Hi: Zero track or auto cross. We are older and just used it on a few PCA local tours in the Santa Cruz mtns. Maybe we were seeing 50mph around some curves!! Everything is stock, and yes, it does sound great. I love the car, but wife and I agreed on a Macan (not a 2 seater, so sadly I have to part with it). Were are you located? Cheers, Bill

@britco4 Yes! You are 100% spot on - my 2015 Cayman S handles great! I am at the low end of the sport driving curve, but this car gave me alot of confidence due to the handling. With the new OEM X73 shocks, new tires, and the PTV, all working together, this car handles and drives 100% !! Thanks for your comment!
Just a note. I have a very similar vehicle. On the X73 Sport Suspension and 220 Torque Vectoring on a 981 S: Handling is totally unbelievable. Flat and tremendous control at a recent PCA Car Control school I participated in here in Houston. Builds driver confidence at an exponential rate as you learn to push a bit through the curves. Plenty of controllable power too... at least in my opinion. GLWTA.
