Tracing its roots back to the original W460 G-Class military vehicle built by Mercedes-Benz and Steyr-Daimler-Puch in 1979, the modern W463 G-Class offers modern luxury and high-end finishes while maintaining a rugged utilitarian design. This 2015 example is a G550 finished in Iridium Silver over Black leather, powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission with a two-speed transfer case and triple locking differentials. Showing approximately 63k miles on the odometer and benefitting from a recent service, this G Wagen is now being offered for auction by its original owner out of California.
This G550 is finished in Iridium Silver and features a chrome front brush guard and spare tire carrier, running boards, fender flares, side moldings, and side-exit exhaust pipes. Other equipment includes automatic bi-xenon headlights, parking sensors, a rearview camera, privacy glass, rain-sensing wipers, a power tilt/sliding sunroof, a rear window wiper, and silver 18” alloy wheels. The seller indicates new Michelin tires were mounted about a year ago and the vehicle’s exterior remains in great overall condition apart from a small ding on the driver’s door and curb rash on the wheels. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with black leather upholstery and matching carpets complemented by burl walnut wood trim on the center console, steering wheel, door panels, and front dashboard grab handle. The vehicle offers heated and ventilated power seats with memory and lumbar support, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, Blind Sport Assist, Distronic Plus cruise control, COMAND with navigation, and the Harman-Kardon Logic 7 Surround Sound System. Some signs of wear are noted on the seats.
A naturally aspirated 5.5-liter M273 V8 engine delivers up to 382 HP and 391 lb.-ft of torque to each wheel through a 7-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC permanent AWD system featuring a two-speed transfer case and three independent differential locks. The CARFAX report shows the front brakes were replaced in 2019 at approximately 24k miles, a major 50k mile service was performed in October 2020 at 28k miles, and the rear brakes were replaced in 2021 at 38k miles. The wheels were aligned in July 2023 and a 60k-mile interval service is said to have been completed earlier in 2024.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, additional floor mats, the original window sticker, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “One owner car, purchased in Houston in December 2014. Moved to Santa Monica in April 2015 then moved to SF/Bay Area in 2020.”
