A successor to the groundbreaking MP4-12C supercar, the McLaren 650S was debuted at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show featuring ProActive Chassis Control (PCC), improved aerodynamics, and a revised V8 twin-turbocharged engine producing over 640 HP. This 2015 Spider is said to have been originally ordered by a McLaren collector in California and configured to match his McLaren P1 with Electric Blue MSO Special Exterior Paint over a full Alcantara interior. It comes optioned with extensive carbon fiber upgrades, super lightweight forged wheels, a front suspension lifter, Meridian Surround Sound system, Racing Seats, and MSO contrast stitching at an original sticker price of over $407k. Acquired from McLaren as a certified pre-owned vehicle and remaining covered under a two-year warranty, this one-of-a-kind 650S is now being offered for auction out of Virginia showing approximately 18k miles on the odometer.
The lightweight bodywork of the 650S is based around a one-piece carbon fiber MonoCell chassis and includes dihedral butterfly doors, full LED lighting, an active rear airbrake, and a transparent engine display cover. This 650S was ordered in Electric Blue MSO Special Exterior Paint along with MSO side blades, diffuser, and carbon fiber rear deck. Other optional details include orange brake calipers, alloy oil and header tank caps, parking sensors, the Stealth Pack, and carbon fiber for the airbrake, side panel, engine covers, front splitter, and center rear bumper. It rides on optional super lightweight forged wheels in a Stealth finish. Four new Michelin Pilot Sport tires were mounted in January 2022 and clear paint protection film has been applied to the front, rear, and mirror housings. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The driver is greeted by a full black Alcantara interior with optional Racing Seats, carbon fiber accents, and MSO Electric Blue contrast stitching throughout. Other options include MSO extended carbon fiber gear shift paddles, a black Alcantara steering wheel, a branded floor mat set, a front suspension lifter, and Iris Upgrade with satellite navigation and Meridian Surround Sound System. The driver is also provided with a portrait screen infotainment system, active dynamic control panel, rearview camera, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
A twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 engine is mounted behind the passenger compartment and delivers up to 641 HP to the rear wheels through a 7-speed Seamless Shift Gearbox (SSG) dual-clutch transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is reached in approximately 3 seconds with a top speed of over 200 MPH. Stopping power comes from two-piece carbon ceramic brake rotors, and the double-wishbone suspension includes McLaren ProActive Chassis Control with Normal, Track, and Sport modes. The CARFAX report shows a history of service completed at McLaren dealers in California and Massachusetts. The seller notes a two-year warranty is in effect, expiring in February 2025.
This sale will include a clean title.

@gsxrjjordan Hello, the car was purchased from a McLaren dealership and was certified, for these cars to qualify for warranty; they have to qualify through a rigorous inspection from my understanding… it came with one year warranty and I added a second year until February 2025.
Looking through service history, don't see evidence of water pump/hoses/clamps being replaced - any large services/repairs of note?
One of the nicer things about buying a car with some miles is that you have a feeling that a lot of this stuff's been addressed, and you've got great documentation, just want to make sure we're asking all the questions.
@carguy84 I’m not the first owner of the vehicle but it was purchased from McLaren as a non smoker - no pet car. I can’t detect any trace of smoking either.
Ever a smokers car?
I am here if anyone has any questions. Comes with both keys, books, window sticker and battery charger. car is in great shape, Initial MSRP 407k with over 50k in MSO. No 650S currently in the market for sale compares to this car. Good luck everyone.

@gsxrjjordan please let me know if you have any questions or want any specific photos of videos. The car is super clean. Breaks my heart to let it go.
@OBenchemsi knowing what they cost to warranty year-after-year, that’s impressive! Thanks for the quick reply, looks like I’m all out of reasons not to be here for the next 4 days haha
@gsxrjjordan hello and thanks for your post. The warranty is indeed through McLaren and also includes complimentary roadside assistance. Two confirmation letters will be provided. One for year 1 (exp Feb 2024) and second letter for year 2 (exp Feb 2025).
Beautiful car and great post - an active warranty is mentioned after service history in the post, is that warranty through McLaren or is it a third-party?
Bid in the amount of $300
@vichang4 There are a few companies that make them for a spider as well. I don't recall if MSO made it only for the coupe as OEM. I believe so now that I think about it.
@vichang4 A friend in the UK has a 650S and had the harness installed. As the other gentleman said; the bar has to be installed.
@undercutspr12 As far as I know the harness bar only fits the coupe??
5 point belts require a MSO harness bar to be installed.
@vichang4 I don’t see a brace but according to McLaren, a 5 point harness can be installed. Not sure if it involves removing the seats and putting them back on professionally. They also said that the racing seats can be switched for regular 650 seats easily by McLaren if needed. The seats show carbon fiber in the back but no brace.
Is there a brace behind the seats to mount the top straps of a 5 pt harness?
@JJW007 absolutely. I just uploaded a video. Please let me know if you can see it.
@noahkl hello, Hello, the 57k in MSO includes paint, stitch on facia, seats, inserts, steering wheel, cluster cover, carbon fiber rear deck, extended carbon fiber gear shift paddles, carbon fiber diffuser and side blades. It’s not just the paint. These are totaling 57k. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. Have a blessed day.
Beautiful! $57K "Special exterior paint" - That is awesome!
could we see a top up and down video please.
