Up for auction is this 2014 Porsche 981 Cayman S finished in Platinum Silver Metallic over a black interior. Praised for its agility and mid-engine composure, the 981 Cayman S is a true driver’s car. This particular example features a 6-speed manual transmission, an additional center radiator, and a Rennline subframe brace, which all add to the driving experience. Said to have been garage-kept throughout its entire life and with just over 13k miles now showing on the odometer, this Cayman S is being listed for sale by its second owner out of New Hampshire.
The Platinum Silver Metallic finish is reported to be in like-new condition by the current owner (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Protective front grille screens have been installed and this 981 rides on 19” Boxster S wheels that feature colored Porsche center crests and Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
The black interior is said to be in excellent condition with all factory specifications retained. Premium features optioned for this example include the following:
A mid-mounted 3.4 L flat-six engine produces 325 HP which is fed to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing this Cayman S to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds. This example has been regularly serviced and features an additional center radiator, as well as a Rennline rear subframe brace and upgraded Rennline jack points.
Included in the sale of this Cayman S is a set of two keys, a Porsche trickle charger, a car cover, a clean title, books, and service records from the current ownership. If you have been in search of a clean 6-speed Cayman S, this 2014 example may just be the one.

@almac Thanks. I've been looking for quite awhile, but just haven't found the right combo of features, miles, colors, distance, and yes, price. BTW, any further feedback on that steering wheel hub irregularity? I know others had questioned it as well, and it is something that would be really apparent every time you sit behind the wheel. Thanks.
@wadds1971 Thank you wadds1971! Good Luck finding your dream car.
@almac Thanks for your feedback. Definitely not the first time that info in a CarFax has been incorrect. As to the additional radiator, I had assumed it was installed when the car was first delivered, and not added by you personally, so apologies for that. Your car certainly looks like it has been well-cared for, and I'm sure the bidding over the next 95 minutes will reflect that! Wish you were not all the way back on the east coast, as shipping costs have to be factored in for me, and the only way I'd transport a car this nice is via enclosed trailer, that's for sure. GLWTA!
@wadds1971 To address your concerns re. track time from any previous owner. I had thought that I would take the car out on the track and that is why I added the third radiator. That being said, I never got the car to the track. When I purchased the car there was also no indication that the car had been on the track. The paint is all original. The car was in great condition when I purchased and is in great condition now. I am located in southern NH. If you have any additional questions, I am happy to reply.
I noted on the CarFax entry on 10/23/2015 that the car's color is listed as Black? Surely, this must be a clerical error, correct? Can't imagine a car like this would have been repainted, twice, so maybe a correction is in order. What did you learn re: the irregular shading of the steering wheel airbag? As to the mention of "no track time", can you assure us that this applied to not only yourself, but also the two prior owners in Illinois? Beautiful-looking Cayman S overall!
Bid in the amount of $35,500
@SimonRipley Thank you for pointing that out....It wasn't noticeable unless in a certain light.
I have wiped it down and can no longer see it. I will wait until it is totally dry and get back to you again.
@almac looks like stains on the airbag on pic 27. Could just need a quick wipe down.

Did you purchase the car in Illinois or in New Hampshire?
Where in NH are you located? I am in south eastern Ct.
Third radiator war added with the intent to race the car, but never raced the car....
Why was the third radiator added? How much track time has this car seen?
