Finished in Dark Blue Metallic over a Black interior, this 2014 Porsche 981 Cayman S features a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission connected to its mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine. It has been upgraded with Porsche Sport Exhaust and is factory-equipped with the optional Premium Package, 14-way Power Sport Seats, a SportDesign steering wheel, bi-xenon headlights, 20” Carrera S wheels, and the Infotainment Package with BOSE Surround Sound System. This 981 was purchased by its previous owner in California as a Porsche CPO vehicle and was acquired by the current owner in September 2022. Showing just over 29k miles on the odometer, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey.
This 981 is finished in Dark Blue Metallic and is distinguished as an “S” model by its red-painted brake calipers and dual center-mounted exhaust tips. Equipment includes optional bi-xenon headlamps with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), fog lights, LED taillights, heated power side mirrors, side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and optional 20” Carrera S wheels. The car rides on Falken tires from 2023 mounted within the last 3k miles. It has been customized with OEM Porsche Sport Exhaust tips, window tint, clear side marker lenses, and air intake grille screens. The seller notes clear paint protection film is applied over the nose section rear bumper, and spoiler. Imperfections include a small paint chip on the roof and some blemishes on the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Black interior features heated 14-way Power Sport Seats, a three-spoke SportDesign steering wheel, and the Infotainment Package with BOSE Surround Sound System. Other accessories include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, auto-dimming mirrors, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). Custom coco floor mats have been installed and the cabin is described to be in excellent condition.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 325 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a dual-clutch 7-speed PDK transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH occurs in less than 5 seconds with a top speed of 176 MPH. A Porsche dealer has retrofitted a full OEM Porsche Sport Exhaust system, and the exhaust button functions as the factory option, although chrome exhaust tips were not installed. The seller indicates major 40k and 50k mile interval services were completed at Rusnak Porshe under previous ownership. Service under current ownership includes replacing the PDK and rear differential fluids, a PDK service and software update, new front and rear brake pads, a wheel alignment, and a Liqui Moly oil change in January 2024.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, an OEM indoor car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. This is my second 981 Cayman, and I love this platform. I would like for this car to go to a fellow Porsche enthusiast who will enjoy this car as much as I did. The car is in excellent condition and spent its entire life (besides my ownership) in California. The undercarriage is in superb condition. Maintenance is up to date, and it has been garage-kept its entire life. Maintenance highlights would be the brand-new tires, PDK and differential service, 40k & 50k service.”

@aaacooled911 Hi, yes the spark plugs were changed as apart of the 40k service done at Rusnak Porsche. The coil packs were not changed.
@ccar0323 Has the spark plugs and coils been changed?

@ABNAP2 the cold start video will upload by tomorrow morning (depending, holiday etc). The PCARMARKET team will have to upload the media as I can only upload photos.
In the meantime, I uploaded the video to a 3rd party site;
https://streamable.com/952n4n
@ccar0323 Thank you. I don’t see a cold start video unless it’s the one that was already posted previously?
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@ABNAP2 I took a closer look at the sections / references you made. The photographs of the rear R and L quarter/intake side show minute pin sized paint blemishes expected in this area of the car. Picture #50 has a scuff in the PPF. I uploaded the picture of the paint chip on the roof and cold start video.
Bid in the amount of $19,814
@ccar0323 pics 11, 12, 18, 19, 27, 31, 32, 50 It could also be the reflection of the clouds/sun hitting the paint at a certain angle. Appreciate the FaceTime call but I don’t think it’s necessary at this time, not trying to rush you on the holiday weekend.
@ABNAP2 Can you call out which photo (#/100) you are referring to? Also please direct message me (seller) and we can talk in more detail if you’re interested. I can setup a FaceTime call.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I forgot to ask about the hood & quarter panels behind the engine intakes, are those water spots or paint chips? Or maybe ppf imperfections too.
@ABNAP2 Hi - Happy to help. The 40k mile service was done outside of my ownership and the previous owner’s service advisor ensured the 40k / 50k service was done at Rusnak Porsche in Westlake, CA. For clarity, I have re-called the dealer and asked them to pull the physical record. But if you give the VIN to the dealer, they will confirm the service was completed.
I will upload a picture of the small paint blemish on the roof, video of the cold start and small imperfections on the front bumper.
To note, on the front bumper there isn’t any physical paint removed. These are small imperfections over the PPF. The entire front nose of the car is protected via PPF. I incorrectly spoke, no physical paint is removed from the front bumper, just small nicks/spots over the PPF. Hope this helps.
Hi, do you have paperwork showing the belt, spark plugs and rear brake pads being done? I didn’t see them on the carfax but I could be blind. Do you have more pictures of the blemishes on the front bumper and the paint chip on the roof? Also do you have any cold start videos? Thank you for your time and help on this
@SeaCAD Hi - The PDK “re-learn” was not a software upgrade, rather getting the PDK TCU up to date with the latest software PWIS has to offer / the 981 platform can take. After a PDK fluid change it’s recommended to have this done. Hope this helps.
@ccar0323 the PDK software upgrade that was done, was that the TCU recall that nerfed Sport Plus? What effect would that have on this car without Sport+ installed?

@Blueboxster Hi, yes - please send me your contact information and we can schedule an appt, thank you.
Very nice Cayman and love the color. I live in NJ and was wondering if I could see the car in person. Please let me know and I can send contact info.

Hi folks, just wanted to note that the headliner and the driver and passenger door cards neither sag / need repairing (common 981 issue), thanks!
