The Turbo S sports aggressive styling including a wide-mouth front grille, muscular wheel arches, dual twin-tubed exhaust outlets, a roof spoiler, and a sculpted power-dome hood, while the 2014 model year also included a mid-cycle facelift for the Cayenne with subtle cosmetic updates. This example is finished in Black with an optional panorama roof system, the Towing Package, bi-xenon headlights in Black with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), and Black-tinted LED taillights. Inside, occupants are greeted with two-tone Black and Carrera Red leather upholstery. Optional amenities include front seat ventilation, Porsche Entry & Drive, electric roll-up rear side sun blinds, the Burmester® High-End Surround Sound System, a 6-disc CD changer, the Comfort Lighting Package including Memory Package, and the Extended LED Comfort Lighting Package. Additional options include a heated windshield, front & rear ParkAssist with a reversing camera, Lane Change Assist (LCA), Adaptive Cruise Control with Porsche Active Safe (PAS), and aluminum-clad rocker panels.
Producing up to 550 HP and 553 lb.-ft of torque, the twin-turbocharged 4.5-liter V8 engine is paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission and Porsche Traction Management active all-wheel-drive. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 175 MPH. The Turbo S is equipped as standard with Porsche's Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), Power Steering Plus, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), and air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Recent maintenance includes an oil and filter change, a transmission fluid change within the last 1,000 miles, and a newly replaced transfer case with fresh fluid. Additionally, the fan motor was replaced in 2025.

These are great daily drivers for the uninitiated Porschephile. I have one with double the mileage with no issues other than transfer case replacement by Porsche NA at no cost. I am still on original battery. I echo other owners on towing capabilities. A loaded trailer is like towing Kleenex with OEM hitch by Westphalia. We are a multiple P car household and this is the daily.

@bigbooter. Yes, the transfer case in these is inherently a bad design. The unit is open to the elements on the top side, so moisture and other contaminants can fin there way into the case. PNA warranted the units for 10 years and replaced many, many of them. I used to just change the fluid in the TC every other oil change and never had an issue. Of course I live in a relatively dry high desert climate to begin with. YMMV

Question for the greater group - is there an inherent design flaw with the Transfer case which causes it to fail? Two transfer cases at just over 60k miles seems a bit much. TIA!

I have a 14 TS it may be the best driving daily I have ever owned. I use it tow and you never know anything is back there. Other than the front transfer case went last year, partially covered by Porsche it was a week and a half out of warranty I can’t fault it. Dash has some leather disease but most older Porsches do. Sux but I can overlook it.
Wish mine had heated steering wheel. Considering sticker on mine was $161.930 new these are a steal. Glws

@JCC0016 No record on the valve covers. No leaks though. These also have the updated aluminum coolant lines. So valley coolant leaks are not too common.

@Miles.S Thank you. My only other two service related questions are whether the valve cover gaskets have been replaced recently or the coolant lines under the intake manifold?
@cheungms This only have a rear facing camera. Also has the radar system for adaptive cruise and lane change assist.

@JCC0016 I did have the updated vent valve with the ball seal. I am not sure on the clutch pack. But assume they are put together with the newer and updated components.

What cameras, if any, is this equipped with?
@Miles.S Thanks for the info. You mention a reman unit was used, was that unit equipt with the updated reinforced clutch pack, seal and vent?

@JCC0016 It was just done last week in my shop. I have not written the paperwork up yet. Also performed a transmission fluid change with the pan filter. Transfer case is a remanufactured unit. Previously this also had the transfer case replaced in 2017 with a factory unit.
