This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Awesome vehicle, it drives like a 3000 lb sports car, not a 4. 5000 lb SUV. It regularly gets 32-34 mpg on the freeway and 22-23 around town. I towed an open trailer with a 1972 Porsche from Sacramento to San Diego, with cruise control set at 70 all the way (even over the Grapevine). It never slowed down going uphill, and I got 24 mpg for the trip. It requires minimal maintenance, oil change every 5k miles, which you can easily do yourself, and has a life expectancy of 300k miles.”

@the2thwizard yes, use the contact seller button and I can arrange for you to drive the Car.. it is registered in CA, has been since original purchase… I don’t see any comments about out of state registration?
When you say has to be registered "out of state" is this a new emissions law for CA?
Any chance I can see the car in person?

Hi all! Just wanted to comment that the transfer cases on the diesel cayennes (and the hybrids for that matter) are not prone to failures like the gasoline variants. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever heard of one failing prematurely. Porsche never had to do a warranty extension on these as an example.

2010 is an older generation of Cayenne, I doubt it uses the old transfer case hardware.
As I mentioned , I have been maintaining the SUV since 38k miles and other than hardware and software upgrades made to comply with Diesel Gate resolutions everything is as delivered new in 2014.. thanks for your questions
Dear Seller,
Do you know if the Transfer Case has been replaced?
I had to do that on a 2010 Cayenne at around 135k miles and it is not a cheap fix.
Thank you,
Michael

All maintenance required has been completed by me at the recommended intervals. That being said, 90% of the required maintenance are inspections at different mileages. Oil changes and draining water from the fuel filter is required every 5k miles, which was done by me.
Additional maintenance every 160,000 miles are the oil changes in the all-wheel final drive, rear final drive, and transfer gear. And change the ATF and filter in the transmission.,.. those are not due for another 50,000 miles.
I have replaced the front pads and rotors are still within spec.
Thanks for your interest…

Could you talk more about the past maintenance performed as there is little to nothing shown on the Carfax report other than a battery being replaced at 58K and engine cover removed/replaced at 59K? We see tires are 2018, how about brakes/rotors, trans/diff /brake fluids and oil/fuel filter changes(?). Any additional narrative to maintenance would be of help. Thanks....

My girlfriend bought the Cayenne from Steven’s Creek on 11/19/16 with 38,252 minutes.. I drove it back to Sacramento and have been driving and maintaining it ever since. In 2018, she decided she wanted a AudiQ5 and transferred ownership to me at 57k miles.
It has never leaked a single drop of oil on the garage floor. After 111k miles the bottom of the engine is still clean and leak free….I don’t know how a car fax came up with their owner dates and mileages… mine are accurate. 😁
@ seller If I am reading the Carfax correctly you've owned the Cayenne since August 2018 when it had 57481 miles. Have you had to deal with any oil leaks during this time period?
@kscritch We were contacted and given the option of buying it back for X$ or retaining it, with the guarantee that all updates would be made to make it 100% smog legal and some $ compensation of Y$. It had a new exhaust system with different cats and the ECU was reprogrammed… also a 10yr 100k warranty was added. They said there might be a performance difference, but we didn’t notice any change. Actually the hi way mileage might have gone up 1 or 2 mpg to 33/34.
The minor damage listed on car fax was a broken windshield (looked like two golf balls next to each other) but it was a small deers hooves that hit the windshield as it bounced over the car.. in the evening driving about 45 mph, deer ran across road from the left side, jumped barely hit left fender, didn’t even break the headlight, hooves hit windshield near the top, landed on the ground on right side of the car and ran off. Repairs were perfect.
Car has never been smoked in, nice to have extra places to plug in phone chargers though…. Thanks for your questions and interest. It’s in like new condition 😁
@Bobp993 Do you have any information on the dieselgate recall work done on this vehicle? And can you share any info on the accident and damage that the Carfax shows in August of 2017? Also, it looks like this might have the Porsche 'Smoker's Package' and I realize that most people order this because of the other connectivity benefits it provides, but do you know if this vehicle has ever been smoked in?
@campodf Thank you for your comments about maintaining this vehicle, it’s easy and inexpensive.. the Mighty Vac evacuation pump I use to change the oil myself will be included in the sale! I’m sure you are correct about the 958.1 vs 958.2 but that information was added by PCAR not the seller 😁
Nice to see a PCD on here! As the seller stated, these are easy to work on to do basic maintenance. Oil filter is on the top of the engine and you can do a top side oil change very quickly. Fuel filter is easily accessible too.
One correction: The write up states this is a post facelift cayenne but it’s a pre facelift model. 2011-14 were the 958.1 models. 2015-2018 are 958.2. Maybe the confusion is that this is a second generation Cayenne? St any rate, good luck seller!
