Beginning life as a standard Cayman model, this 2014 Porsche 981 underwent a full racing conversion by DeMan Motorsport in 2020, commissioned at a cost of $105k. It features a DeMan Motorsports aero kit, a custom Martini Racing livery, Forgeline wheels, OMP racing seats, a custom welded roll cage, an AIM digital dash, a Cobb Accessport, a fire suppression system, JRZ RS Pro Motorsport adjustable dampers, GT3 suspension components, 6-piston front brake calipers, two-piece Girodisc rotors, and a 7-speed PDK transmission paired with a mechanical limited-slip differential. The centerpiece of the car is a DeMan-built 3.4-liter flat-six racing engine with a GT3 intake plenum, Fabspeed headers, a Cobb tune, a third radiator, and a billet deep-sump oil pan. Maintained to the highest standards at Monticello Motor Club, this professionally built and race-proven Cayman track car is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 104 hours driven since the build was completed.

Finished in White with a custom Martini Racing vinyl livery, the exterior has been modified with a DeMan Motorsports aero kit featuring a carbon fiber front spoiler and a GT3 RS rear wing. Other details include a carbon fiber headlight delete covers, contrasting black mirrors, front and rear tow hooks, side air intakes, dual center-mounted tailpipes, red brake calipers, and black 18” Forgeline wheels with used Pirelli racing slick tires. An additional set of OZ Racing wheels is included in the sale. Some cosmetic damage is noted on the left rear end from a minor racing incident. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cockpit has been stripped for weight saving and fitted with a custom, fully welded DeMan Motorsports 8-point roll cage, OMP HTE-R racing seats, Schroth 6-point harnesses (exp. 2026), a My Laps time transponder and in-car lighting system, a Garmin Catalyst, an intercom, an AIM MXG 1.2 digital dash, a Smarty Cam, and a Cobb Accessport tuning module.

The naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine was built by DeMan Motorsports featuring a GT3 intake plenum, Fabspeed headers and exhaust, a Cobb high-torque 100-octane ECU tune, a BILT Racing billet deep sump oil pan (2.5 quart), and a third OEM radiator. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission with a mechanical limited-slip differential and a BILT Racing billet PDK fluid pan. The suspension includes JRZ RS Pro Motorsport 2-way adjustable dampers and GT3 control arms, joints, and sway bars. The braking system has been modified with Porsche 6-piston front calipers, two-piece Girodisc rotors, Pagid 29 brake pads, and GT3 brake cooling ducts. Service in 2024 included an engine oil, transmission fluid, and coolant change, new spark plugs, a brake fluid flush, and new brake pads and rotors. A new steering rack was installed in January 2025, and an inspection and shake-down were completed in April.

This sale will include a My Laps time transponder and in-car lighting system, a Garmin Catalyst, a Cobb Accessport, owner’s manuals, and a bill of sale.

@GWhuffalo Thanks for the thoughtful note, glad to hear it’s speaking to you!

The bodywork was addressed in 2023, and the car has raced and run problem-free many times since. It was fully inspected and shaken down in April 2025 and is absolutely ready to race. Alignment was checked and dialed in post-repair as part of its routine prep, and it’s been professionally maintained throughout.

Looking forward to your message - happy to answer anything else in the meantime. GLWB!

@SlickTop911 The engine was race-prepped by DeMan Motorsport during the build, which included a top-end rebuild and numerous performance upgrades.

These upgrades include headers, a race exhaust, COBB tune, and supporting enhancements like a limited-slip differential, as well as oil and cooling system upgrades to ensure reliability and performance in track conditions.

@M3tro81 Happy to provide more detail. The car competed in the Monticello Motor Club Member Challenge Series in both 2023 and 2024, running in Class R3 (PCA GTB1 equivalent).

It finished P2 in class and 4th overall in 2023, and P3 in class and 5th overall in 2024. The R3 field is highly competitive, featuring a range of well-prepped race cars - including factory-built entries like the BMW M2 CS Racing.

Ad says “race-proven” multiple times. Probably helpful to provide details on which class(es) it was raced in, results, etc.

  • GWhuffalo (registered bidder) 10 hours, 55 minutesago

I think the receipts clarify the rebuild. I wish they would’ve opted for the 3.8 at only $18k additional of course! Obviously the seller isn’t getting their race bux back however, hopefully had more fun in it than most Cayman owners 👍 @colligo it really doesn’t clarify when body damage occurred, has the car been tracked again since the “incident” alignment checked etc? Thank you for your time and attention in this build. I’d be proud to be the next owner and of course “I’d track it” 🤣. I’ll be sending you a Pm via contact seller soon GLWA

@seller the engine was race-prepped by DeMan, could you be more specific? Was it rebuilt?

  • colligo (seller) 1 day, 8 hoursago

@SFPirate @SFPirate. Given the full race car conversion, this 981 is no longer street legal.

  • colligo (seller) 1 day, 8 hoursago

@NOLADRIVER Thanks for the question. Prior to the build, the car had two street owners and accumulated approximately 74k miles. Under current ownership, it underwent a full race car build by DeMan Motorsport, including a race-prepped 3.4L engine and all supporting upgrades.

It’s been professionally maintained by a race shop since the build and used for occasional track days and club-level racing events. The car is being sold to pursue other hobbies outside of racing - it’s been a fantastic and reliable track tool throughout.

Happy to answer anything else you'd like to know.

@smlobx Good afternoon, and thanks for the questions.

Dyno: 325 WHP and 283 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels (measured February 2022)

Weight: 3,000 lbs with full fuel, no driver

DME: I don’t have a report on hand, though as a PDK car, it benefits from built-in protections against over-revving

Log Book: A detailed log of all maintenance, upgrades, and consumables has been kept since the build

Let me know if there’s anything else I can provide!

  • skipmots (registered bidder) 1 day, 9 hoursago

At what total hours does DeMan recommend an engine rebuild?

  • SFPirate (registered bidder) 1 day, 10 hoursago

Can you share the history of ownership as far as you know? Can you also share why you are selling it?

  • smlobx (registered bidder) 1 day, 16 hoursago

Good morning. A few questions if you don’t mind. Do you know the weight of the car? Do you have a dyno report? Same for a DME report? Also, does the car have a log book? Thanks.
