Finished in Sapphire Blue Metallic over an Espresso/Cognac Natural Leather interior, this 2014 Porsche 991 Carrera S Cabriolet is powered by a 3.8-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine. Configured at an MSRP of approximately $159k, it includes a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, the SportDesign Package, 20” Carrera Classic wheels, the Sport Chrono Package, Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, the Premium Package, the Leather Interior Package, the Burmester Audio Package, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and much more. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this Carrera S Cabriolet is now being offered for auction once again out of Connecticut with approximately 28k miles on the odometer.
This 991 is finished in Sapphire Blue Metallic with a brown convertible soft top. It rides on semi-gloss Platinum painted 20” Carrera Classic wheels dressed in Pirelli P Zero tires from 2017. Other options include the SportDesign Package, SportDesign side mirrors, bi-xenon headlamps with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), deletion of the model designation, clear glass taillights, and yellow ceramic brakes. The seller notes some scrapes on the front spoiler, a small blemish on the rear bumper cover, and some separation at the seams of the soft top, along with the addition of aftermarket stainless-steel exhaust outlets. The CARFAX report lists a total loss in January 2023 with non-collision damage. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin presents Espresso/Cognac Natural Leather with the optional Leather Interior Package, Premium Package, Two-tone leather interior, 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus with the backrest shells, rear-view mirror, steering column casing, and center console all trimmed in leather. Additional options include the Sport Chrono Package with the clock dial and instrument dials in White, a SportDesign steering wheel, and the Burmester Audio Package. The seller reports to have installed a GTA car kit CarPlay modification. No warning lights have been reported.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine, the 991 Carrera S sends up to 400 HP and 325 lb.-ft. of torque to its rear wheels, in stock form, by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Factory performance options include the Sport Exhaust System and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). The seller has fitted a set of stainless-steel headers without catalytic converters, along with a stainless-steel exhaust system, a Cobb ECU tune, a custom PDK tune with the paddle shifting order reversed, an AFE Power Magnum Flow Pro Dry S air filter, and reports power to be estimated around 434 HP and 353 lb.-ft. of torque on 93 octane fuel. Additionally, recent service is said to include the following:
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a car cover, a battery charger, the OEM bolt-on headers with catalytic converters, and a branded (rebuilt) title.
The seller would like you to know: "Don't miss this opportunity to purchase what some would consider the best performance spec for the last of the NA 991.1 convertibles! This is a rebuilt salvage, which means it can be registered in any state without additional scrutiny, just like a clean title vehicle."

Getting down to the final hours! Ask yourself, where else will you find a Sapphire Blue Metallic "S" with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes and <30k miles? If you do find one it will north of $75,000! The reserve for this auction is set much lower than I would EVER sell the car for elsewhere..... The car is beautiful. Ask questions (here or direct message) and bid with confidence!

@seller. just south of Salt Lake City. But I have an office in Milford CT, and my daughter is a Sr. at U-Conn, so I'm in town quite frequently
@tehan2 How far is home? Are you the bidder from Long Island? If so, I might be able to bring the car 1/2 way before the auction ends.
@seller Seems like I keep timing leaving CT as this vehicle gets listed. Just Spent 2 weeks there, home for 2 and back 11/11 for 2

@Seller - thx for quick response, v helpful.
Makes sense re insurance co motivations.
Car looks better than most of those that haven’t been declared a total loss.
@Ram3k I replaced the amp, rear struts, Ride Height Sensor; Left, Right, Front, spark plus & coils. My experience It is that it is up to an insurance company to decide when to total a car. If they get an overpriced quote from a Porsche dealer for $30k, they would rather pay out, sell @ auction for $50k and be done with it.
@Seller - May be a good way to reduce repetitive questions from the prior listing is to post a link to the prior listing ?
In the meantime what did you have to do to the car to achieve a “rebuilt” title ? What repairs were needed following the total loss ? What happened to have the car Dr listed a total loss ?
Many thx & GLWTA

@Mlabs Great to have you back! I completely understand the emissions concerns as CT is just as strict as NY. Cat's on mid/rear engine Porsche's are more "out of visual sight" than on conventional cars, and it retains the pre/post oxygen sensors. ODBE2 tests will find all emissions "ready" and without failures. Having said that, the factory cat's are included and are a simple bolt-on swap for 100% federal compliance in all 50 states.
Do you have the cats? Without the catalytic converters on the exhaust it won’t pass NY’s annual inspections. Was high bidder last time, hopefully we can finalize it this time.

I will be very responsive to PM's, comments, and requests to see the car in person.
@anythingwheels Should have read "Delivery to Florida may be an option"
@TFG I also am planning a run to Florida next month with my truck and trailer. Delivery to FL may not be an option, without having to deal with 3rd part shippers.
@TFG I have had no issues insuring with normal providers. Insurance companies may have wording about not insuring "Salvage", so make sure to clarify that it is a "Rebuilt Salvage", recertified and legal on the road. Another solid option for cars that exceed typical book value is an agreed value policy from Hagerty or similar. Get a price on $65-75k and know you are covered.
@anythingwheels thank you for the additional insight. That is helpful. I am familiar with salvage titles and have bought several trucks in my business that had been wreck rebuilds with salvage titles. I’m checking on my ability to insure the vehicle the way I want in Florida in order for me to bid. I have a ‘19 4S Cab in Colorado. I love the look of yours!
@RandyInRoswellGA No. Everything works perfectly.
Have you noticed any idiosyncrasies with any of the electronics, center console or door/window electronics in the cabin area due to the water intrusion?
@anythingwheels I will also say the days of 75% damage before being totaled are over. I am driving a 2020 Jeep Rubicon that simply needed a new front axle housing and transmission after an off-road incident. 4k repair on a 45k truck. Insurance companies now are refusing to pay top dollar dealer estimates, knowing they can sell on Copart/IAA to re-coup claims.
@TFG I bought directly from the issuance company, and believe the top was left open during a storm. I repaired the amp located in a well under the passenger seat, which showed MINOR eater damage to some capacitors. Zero water in the well, or anywhere else. I know a dealer had quoted the insurance company replacement seat covers, door cards, etc. Everything is in great condition!

“The CARFAX report lists a total loss in January 2023 with non-collision damage.”
What does this actually mean?
I went through the gallery and still do not understand what gives this car a salvage title.
Thanks!
