The 458 Speciale was introduced in 2013 as the high-performance version of Ferrari’s mid-engined 458, weighing almost 200 pounds less than the standard model and powered by a more powerful version of the naturally-aspirated F136 F V8 producing 597 HP. It was also equipped with unique forged wheels, active aerodynamics, and the Slip Slide Control system. This 2014 example was ordered in Rosso Corsa with a Blu Nart and Bianco livery stripe over a two-tone Rosso FX fabric and Blu Scuro Alcantara leather interior with carbon fiber trim. Options include Advanced Frontlighting System (AFS) LED headlamps, yellow brake calipers, Scuderia fender shields, carbon fiber front air vents, side nolders, engine covers, fuel cap, and center caps, black titanium sport exhaust pipes, front and rear parking sensors, the Ferrari Telemetry system, power mirrors, a radio navigation system with Bluetooth, a front suspension lifter, carbon fiber racing seats, and more. Modifications include Capristo carbon fiber mirror housings and Novitec lowering springs. It was sold new at Ferrari of Palm Beach, Florida in 2014 before being relocated to California in 2015 and acquired by the seller in 2021. Remaining under warranty with a recent inspection performed, this Ferrari 458 Speciale is now being offered at auction by the seller located in California with approximately 9k miles on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in the classic Ferrari shade of Rosso Corsa (322) with an optional Blu Nart (523) and Bianco (100) livery stripe. Exterior options include carbon fiber front vents, side nolders, engine covers, and a carbon fiber fuel cap, AFS LED headlights with self-leveling, Scuderia fender shields, yellow brake calipers, titanium exhaust pipes in black, and power side mirrors. A set of Capristo carbon fiber mirrors were fitted under previous ownership. The seller reports very minor rock chips on the front bumper, hood, side rocker vents, and rear wheel wells, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The model-specific 20” forged wheels wear Ferrari-branded carbon fiber center caps and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires displaying 2015 date codes in the front and 2016 date codes in the rear. The seller adds an additional unused set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires will accompany the sale.
The interior features large-sized Sabelt carbon fiber racing seats upholstered in Blu Scuro Alcantara, with Rosso FX fabric centers, Rosso contrast stitching, Rosso safety belts, and Rosso embroidered Cavallino emblems in the headrests. Blu Scuro Alcantara with Rosso contrast stitching covers the upper dashboard, A-pillars and windscreen surround, passenger dashboard pads, the upper door panels, the wheel wells, the headliner, the door pulls, and the rear bulkhead, contrasted with a Rosso Alcantara center console. Carbon fiber trim can be seen on the door panels, door sill plates, center console, air vents, and the driver’s zone. The Blu Scuro leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel is trimmed with carbon fiber, and features an LED tachometer, carbon fiber shift paddles, Rosso inner stitching, a red ignition button, and the manettino switch for selecting driving modes. Additional optional equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, the Ferrari Telemetry system with an inner camera kit, an integrated audio system with GPS navigation and Bluetooth, and cruise control.
Under the optional carbon fiber engine covers, The 458 Speciale is powered by the same naturally-aspirated V8 as the standard 458 Italia but with a power increase resulting in 597 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque thanks to upgraded engine internals. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 7-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission with an electronically-controlled rear differential (E-Diff) and traction control (F1-Trac). Acceleration from 0-60 MPH occurs in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of over 200 MPH. Performance features include active aerodynamics, the Slip Slide Angle Control system, carbon-ceramic brakes, and revised magnetorheological suspension with new software and twin-solenoid Frequency-Shaped SCM-E dampers. A set of Novitec lowering springs were added by the previous owner. The CARFAX report shows a history of maintenance since new, and the seller reports the engine “wrench” light is illuminated, though a recent service was performed by Exotic Specialty Services of Huntington Beach, California, and no faults were found.
This sale will include 2 keys, owner’s manuals, a car cover, a battery charger, and an unused set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

Appreciate all the bids!
Thanks for playing!

I was the previous owner of this car. I never had any problems with the car and l loved it having previously owned an Italia. I have a home a the Thermal Club and did two 30 min sessions with no other cars out. I never tracked the car at Laguna Seca although I'm sure there are a lot of Speciales in this color way since it was the launch spec. The new owner will be very happy.

Mitim3 thanks for the bid!
Going into the final laps leading! I love it!
@Jfuchs I uploaded the front bumper now.... They are the skid pads that were added on it when it was CPO'ed in 2021 at Ferrari of Newport Beach. They look really good but let me know what you think after you take a peek.
Thanks!
Chris
Bighead thanks for the bid!
@slimeynutsuck997 thanks for the feedback. I cant answer to any previous owners use at Laguna Seca. It could be that one of them brought it to the West Coast to drive there. I don't know and it would be almost impossible for me to find out. I can speak to the last owner,(West Coast guy)that he did not drive it at Laguna Seca.
Please feel free to reach out and ask more questions and KEEP BIDDING!!
Thanks all!

I remember seeing this car at Laguna Seca all the time. One of the previous owners used to drive this thing HARD. Got to love it. As far as the diffuser goes, the factory one got damaged and the new plastic one was put on. The condition of the present diffuser is in a lot better shape than the original one. This is a driver car. Good luck everyone.
jfuchs & Mitim3 (and all)... sorry for the delay today...I've uploaded about a dozen picks to the site and they should go live tomorrow of the rear diffuser fins... I'm hoping you can get the scale of them with my finger next to them. They can always be replaced with brand new ones.
I will get some front ones up tomorrow jfuchs .
Window sticker is up for those that want to see it.
Thanks and once again please let me know if there is anything else I can provide.
Chris

@cgp47 Chris, could you upload some close-ups up the scrapes on the diffuser taken from the under side of the car? Just want to get an idea how extensive/minor the damage is. Thanks.
@cgp47 thanks!
@C3 Ive uploaded the window sticker reprint to the site and it should go live tomorrow.
A1Highways Thank you for the bid!
@Jfuchs @Jfuchs,
Correct... Tires were not done at that time as owner decided to drive on them before replacing them. He then bought the new tires and never put them on. The new tires come with the car and will be put on end of auction.
The Speciale is still on the Novitec Springs.... I am currently searching with FNB to see if they still have the OEM ones. I believe they do and if so will be included in auction.
The rear diffuser fins were scraped at time of purchase and customer decided against repairing as he knew they would only scrape/grind again.
Hope this clears up for all.
Feel free to reach out if you need more clarification.
Thanks,
Chris

So if I’m reading the comments correctly, the items called out in the cpo inspection were not completed and the car still sits on old tires, lowered and damaged rear defuser correct?
@cgp47 Thanks for the responses. Looking forward to following this auction closely.

Jfuchs thanks for the bid! Keep 'em coming!
Thanks for the interest, Chris... see answers to questions below.
1. it wasn't a check engine light. It was just the service wrench and yes, it is being reset now as well as 1 open campaign. So, there will be no lights on at delivery. Car just passed CA smog.
2. Set of unused Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s
2 Front 255/35Z R20 date code 50/20
2 Rear 305/30Z R20 date code 18/19
3.There are no stock mirrors. The Car was CPO'ed in April of 2021 and the factory springs were left at Ferrari of Newport Beach. I have them looking for them now so if we can find them they will be included. If not found there will be no stock springs.
4. I've uploaded the Service records that I have to the PCM so don’t know when they will go live. feel free to DM me and I can email you directly if you want them this weekend. I assume they will be live Monday.
5. I metered the car this am and have uploaded the pictures to PCM as well.
5A. I’ve also uploaded a cold start video and a rev video.
6.I've requested a window sticker and the Campaign needs to be completed in order to fulfill request. I believe I should have Tuesday/Wednesday.
Feel free to all to reach out to me for any questions/concerns regarding the Ferrari. This goes for all out there who are interested. This is my 1st auction on PCM so hang in there with me.
Good Luck!
Chris
Bid in the amount of $50,000
A few of questions:
1) Any plans to have the check engine light investigated?
2) What’re the date codes of the unused tires?
3) Are all of the stock parts included with the sale?
4) Do you have hard copies of the previous service history? (Besides just the carfax report)
5) Have paint meter readings been taken?
6) Is the original window sticker included?
Thanks,
Chris
