Up for auction is this 2013 Porsche 981 Boxster S finished in Platinum Silver Metallic over a premium Carrera Red Natural Leather interior. Marking the inaugural model year for the 981 generation, this Boxster S sports a timeless color combination along with optional 20” Carrera Classic wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), the Sport Chrono Package, Sport Exhaust System, a SportDesign steering wheel, and 7-speed PDK transmission. It was acquired by the current owner as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in 2015 and has been maintained by Porsche of Greenville ever since while also receiving upgraded 911 6-piston brake calipers, new Michelin tires, and clear paint protection film. Accompanied by service records and the original window sticker listing about $28k worth of optional features, this Boxster S is now being offered by its second owner out of South Carolina showing approximately 35k miles on the odometer.
This 981 comes finished in Platinum Silver Metallic with a retractable red soft top, Sport Tailpipes, and 20” Carrera Classic wheels with colored Porsche center crests. Clear Xpel paint protection film has been applied over the full front end as well as the headlights and side skirts. Some very small stone chips are noted on the hood and the seller reports the front clip to have been professionally replaced and painted by an authorized Porsche repair facility following the minor front-end damage noted on CARFAX in 2015. The Michelin Pilot Sport tires were mounted within the last 1k miles and the seller states a set of aftermarket matte grey Avant Garde wheels will accompany the sale as well.
Inside, the Carrera Red Natural Leather interior is complemented by aluminum-look trim, an optional SportDesign steering wheel, and exclusive seatbelts in Silver-Grey. This Boxster S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine that sends up to 315 HP and 266 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed PDK transmission. Optional performance features include the Sport Chrono Package, Sport Exhaust System, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Power Steering Plus. The stopping power has been improved with the upgraded 6-piston front brake calipers from a 911 model, which were installed at a cost of approximately $3,600. The seller reports all routine service to have been carried out by Porsche of Greenville, South Carolina, throughout their ownership with the last oil change completed in January of 2021 at 33,225 miles.

@Rongoren all records are with Porsche corporate. If you look at the window sticker and get the vin, you can call Porsche and have all records emailed to you directly. I’m out of town at the moment
@Lj1987 Hi do you have the receipt for the transmission replacement? can you please provide more information? I am assuming Porsche wont replaced that easily, it seems that they tried to reprogram this first? This was done as part of warranty?

@mrboxsters yes, there was a shifting issue with the factory transmission which is very rare.
Saw in Carfax if I read correctly that transmission was replaced? Under warranty I assume. Thx

No 6 on the dealer list for the GT4 RS, with GT3 engine. May take years to get, hope production continues, before electric takes over. My 981 Spyder remains a keeper, with 3.8 liter Carrera S engine that showed 415 hp on dyno!
@Rongoren I have the repair receipt and all maintenance was only done at Porsche of Greenville. All records are available through Porsche corporate as well. Pdk has been serviced. I will also upd load a cold start. Not sure if I can do any under carriage shots as I do not have a lift. But the car has never been bottomed out but will try to take a few shots
@gkp200 I have the original bumper. It was backed into by my aunt who was very old and has since passed away. She was going very slow and it left a very small dent in the bumper. I’ll take a photo in the morning and send it.
