Among the top-tier versions of the Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen, or “terrain vehicle”, this G63 AMG features a handcrafted AMG 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of producing over 560 HP. Finished in Iridium Silver Metallic over Black Designo Leather, it features the Chrome Package, a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Surround Sound System, the Seat Comfort Package, the Designo Exclusive Package, and several additional amenities. This G63 AMG is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada with approximately 119k kilometers or 74k miles showing on the odometer.
The G63 receives styling from AMG including a revised grill and bumpers, additional trim, and chrome-finished side-exit exhausts. This example is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (9775) complemented with the Exterior Stainless Steel Package. A set of red-finished AMG-branded brake calipers are fitted beneath 20” AMG 5-Double-Spoke wheels in Titanium Grey. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting damage in February 2020.
The cabin is appointed with Black Designo Leather as part of the Designo Exclusive Package, incorporating diamond-stitched details along the seats and door panels along with Piano Lacquer Black trim. Other details include an Alcantara headliner, a sunroof, ambient lighting, and velour floor mats. Amenities include a heated multifunction steering wheel, front & rear seat heating, the Seat Comfort Package, a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Surround Sound System, rear entertainment, and a rear bottle holder. Additional features encompass Parktronic, Distronic, COMAND infotainment, and Blind Spot Assistant. A mileage inconsistency is shown on the CARFAX report in 2020 which seems to be a clerical error.
The robust AMG-assembled 5.5L twin-turbocharged V8 engine generates 563 HP and 561 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through an AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic automatic transmission allowing for an impressive 0-60 time of approximately 4.8 seconds. Off-road performance features include a low-range transfer case, 3 locking differentials, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a streamlined underbody for maximum clearance. The CARFAX report shows 6 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title. The CARFAX report notes damage, a stolen report, and a mileage inconsistency.

@rpmnospin many folks have lost cars with that philosophy! We strongly recommend you bid if your desire to own the vehicle is serious.
If I thought I would make the reserve, I would bid. What a fantastic vehicle!

@Bdubs The sticker is missing from the car, but we reached out to Mercedes Canada headquarters for a letter of compliance and have sent over everything they need from us. That can be used while importing the car with our brokers, we should have it in 5-10 business days. Happy bidding!

I want to bid but don’t see the EPA label, did I miss it?

@surf2day We can have all odometer changes done at our shop here in Ontario, it should not be a problem!
My apology…did not scroll through ALL 🙂 of the pics..thanks for posting extensive paint meter pics and CVMSS label
@autosportclassic Thank you for your reply. To clarify, the speedometer faceplate will have to be changed to read mph to make it compliant with US Safety (NHTSA, DOT, FMVSS standards) and the telltales for Brake and Park will have to have the words - not the ISO symbols…it’s a simple changeout, but since the speedo is analog not digital (AFAIK) there should be 3rd party faceplates available. I had to do that for both of my Porsches…not for the Speedo/Odo - but for the FMVSS requirements on the telltales. BTW, can you post a pic of the CVMSS label on the Driver’s door jamb? Thank you.
We have uploaded all photos of the stickers on the car but we cannot find the EPA sticker, it seems to be missing. We did just call the Mercedes Benz Canada head office and have started the process of getting a letter of Compliance. They confirmed the car is admissible to the US but said that the letter will take 5-10 business days to receive. We will send this to the broker once received to start the import paperwork process. Thank you!

@Bdubs Will get that soon for you. Thanks!
@surf2day Hi there, there are no damages to the vehicle. Damage is said on Feb 10th on the day of the key loss, where on the Canadian Carfax Feb 10th is a theft (the $0 claim). We are not sure why it is reported as a theft on one and a damage on the other.
We have all panels listed regarding the paint metre readings, please let me know which ones you would like further detail on. We did a very thorough sweep with the paint metre reader and everything is original on the panels.
For the odometer, you can simply change the units of measurement in the screen, and that will be enough to meet regulation. We did that on a 997 GT3 RS and had zero issues.
Can you please post a picture of where it says it meets US DOT safety standards and emissions. Thanks
I may have overlooked it, but I am still a bit confused. On the theft claim date it shows ‘damage reported’. Is there damage to the G and if so, where is it located? Would it be possible to post paint meter readings from all metal panels? Seems to be a lovely well cared for example, but there is a bit of uncertainty surrounding it. And yes, you are correct. The cross border process is very simple. I have recently purchased a MY23 Targa 4 GTS and an MY24 718 GTS 4.0 from Quebec and Ontario respectively and the process was smooth. For your G-Wagen, would the required metric to standard display requirements be carried out in Ontario or with the Registered Importer facility here in the US? Thank you.

We have reached out to CarFax for this error. This is something that should be easily addressed on their end. This is one incredible truck and don’t let a small report error prevent you from bidding! We’ve reached out to CarFax and will hopefully have an answer before auction end.
This is the type of car, negative Car Fax, that is a huge negative in the states. Try to trade this to a dealer, they will not accept stories but see the poor CAR fax and remove additional value in the range of 20-25% from wholesale.
Car Fax has caused many heartaches with owners from improper reporting to fully missed accidents due to non-reporting.
I was interested but need to pass on this one.
@ldesautel Our client likes the look of the classic G without the tire. We can have it installed for the winning bidder. Costs of import + shipping will be in the low to mid 4 figure range. We can go over this with the winning bidder as well! Thank you.
Why is the spare tire case not on the car?
What do you think the all in price would be for importing to California ?
Thanks

I had issues with US carfax in pass as well they seem to not get the same info as the canadian carfax.
@casualcollector Thank you so much for pointing this out. We have attached the Canadian CarFax for full transparency, and after thorough investigation we have come to the most likely conclusion as to why this has happened.
As you can see the Canadian CarFax is quite different than the US CarFax, there are different data points between them. We always go based off of the Canadian example, which shows no errors or issues. The entry on 10/03/2019 (before the big mileage inconsistency) is 41,633 miles or 67,002 kilometres. This is a “Canadian Renewal” entry, which is just renewing your plates.
What we think happened here is another error with the previous owner, as they are responsible at the MTO (Ministry of Transportation) to give the correct odometer reading. They may have rounded to 67k or the person at the MTO may have inputted the number wrong, again, we cannot say.
The next entry on the Canadian CarFax after 10/03/2019 is 12/18/2019 which shows 66,100 kilometres. These are only a month apart but we believe this mileage is far more accurate than the October 3rd entry. This one makes far more sense and is what we went off by.
We hope this clears up any concerns you all may have. We apologize for the confusion but this is a new to us issue as well, we always go based off of the Canadian CarFax (especially because this is a Canadian car as well) and we are not sure why things are so different on the US side. Let us know if there is anything else we can help with. Thank you!
I'm still a little confused about the mileage discrepancy ... regardless of the indicated clerical error ... it appears the mileage still went down between 10/3/2019 and 6/12/2020? Can you comment - Thx
Beautiful truck good luck with the sales.
We would also like to make a note on the mileage inconsistency and theft claim. On February 10, 2020, the Mercedes-Benz dealer which the owner at the time took the car to lost the keys to the vehicle.
They filed an insurance claim as they believed the keys were stolen, however, the keys were subsequently found and a theft claim of $0 dollars was presented on the Carfax. On this claim, specifically on the US Carfax, it seems as though whoever reported the odometer value at the time of this claim made a mistake. It is shown as 167,000 km and then jumps back to the correct mileage at the time. This must’ve been simply the person at the Mercedes dealership which filed the claim, perhaps they mistook it for another G63 they had at the time- we really cannot say.
The bottom line is, The mileage inconsistency is a clerical error on the Carfax (which we will file a claim to remove), and the theft was simply for the keys that were found later on. Apologies for the confusion, we had no idea about this mileage inconsistency as it is not shown on the Canadian Carfax, but only on the US. We found out at the time of listing and will be in touch with Carfax.
Bid with confidence! Thank you.
