The Cayman R provides a truly visceral driving experience through a rigid suspension, extensive weight savings, and a naturally aspired flat-six engine. One of 563 units brought to the U.S., this Cayman R comes finished in the rare shade of Peridot Metallic and features a 6-speed manual transmission. It has been modified as a track car with extensive upgrades by Speed Sport Tuning and JVR Auto & Performance including 997 GT3-style bodywork, a full roll cage, an ERP bump steer kit, an IDP intake plenum & oversized air filter, an OS Giken limited-slip differential, Fabspeed racing headers & exhaust, and more. This race-ready Cayman R is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with approximately 26k miles on the odometer.
This example comes finished in the seldom-seen shade of Peridot Metallic and rides on a set of Forgeline GA3R wheels fitted with a 7mm hub-centric wheel spacer kit and Pirelli racing tires. In addition to the Cayman R’s factory lightweight aluminum door panels, the exterior has been modified with an OEM 997 GT3 front bumper and splitter, OEM 997 headlights, and 997 GT3-style fenders. Additional aftermarket accessories include a center radiator, front dive planes, tow hooks, Rennline tie-downs, and a Getty rear wing. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cockpit has been readied for motorsport with a quick-release OMP Racing steering wheel, Recaro Pro Racer Hans driver’s seat, Scroth harness, CageThis full roll cage with NASCAR-style side doors, and custom center console. Additional items are noted within the modification list below. Please note that the passenger's seat photographed will not be included in the sale.
Power is derived from a mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller has compiled the following list of performance upgrades and service items:

This race car is offered with a bill of sale. While a passenger's seat is photographed, it will not be included in the sale.
The seller would like you to know: “I bought this car about one year ago in hopes of using it to race with PCA racing. I guess I was too hopeful as I haven’t found the time to use it. It was only used for a single race back in August 2022 and never raced again. After buying it, I invested a lot in making it competitive by having Speed Sport Tuning and JVR Auto & Performance make extensive upgrades as listed above. (The chillout cooler duct, hose, carbon naca duct, carbon mounting plate, carbon plenum, wiring, and remote control chillout unit are not included.) This car is highly developed and ready to be raced!”

@Davearm127 I don't
@993David Hi David, I don't know what happened to it. I bought the car with a BOS from the previous owner as a race car.
Do you know what happened to the title? At a minimum you should have a salvage title from the issuing state.
@Ralphmason I don't own the seat but I would guess that a few hundred dollars would do.
What would it take to leave the second seat?
Bid in the amount of $20,000
Do you have a current DME over rev report for the car?
@Rdlestrvled The car comes with two sets of wheels. Both have Pirellis slicks mounted. In addition, a brand new set of pirellis is included.

Does the car come with any spares ,I understand if it doesn't.
Can you provide insight on the salvage title flagged in the Carfax in 2014?? I know this is common for race car builds but it’s important to understand what occurred and how it was corrected in the race build. Any logbooks or race history available from prior owners??
