Available for auction is this 2012 Porsche 987.2 Cayman R finished in Black with Silver contrasts over a black leather and Alcantara interior. A vehicle built for the driving enthusiast, the Cayman R features a special lightweight design and comes factory equipped with an exterior Aerokit, 19” wheels, GT3-derived aluminum doors, sports suspension, and a naturally-aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine that produces up to 330 HP. Also optioned with an automatic A/C, Bluetooth, and a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, this 2012 example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Hampshire showing approximately 5k miles on the odometer.
This Cayman R is finished in Black with contrasting Silver Porsche decals. It sports distinctive Aerokit front and rear spoilers and rides on 19” lightweight Boxster Spyder wheels dressed in Pirelli P Zero tires. The CARFAX report shows an accident in April 2015 that caused moderate damage to the right rear end of the car, and the owner states the right rear quarter panel was repaired and refinished as a result. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black leather and Alcantara interior features full carbon bucket seats with Alcantara inserts. Other equipment includes an optional automatic A/C, a CDR-30 Audio System, and Bluetooth. As part of its lightweight design, the Cayman R features an instrument cover delete as well as basic door pull straps in place of traditional handles.
The Cayman R is powered by a mid-mounted naturally-aspirated 3.4L flat-six engine that is derived from the Cayman S, and features revised tuning along with a freer-flowing exhaust system to help produce up to 330 HP. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achieved in approximately 4.5 seconds. The Cayman R sits lower than a standard Cayman S and its sports suspension provides a more firm and responsive ride. Additionally, Porsche implemented lightweight technology such as GT3-derived aluminum doors, which help the R weigh 121 lbs. less than a standard Cayman S. The seller states the oil has been changed twice a year as part of routine maintenance.
This sale will include a clean title.

@PCARMARKET does @mike9146gt18 know his auction is live? Surprised at the lack of response, both to questions in the auction and also to the Contact Seller button.
Any pics of the accident damage before repairs were made?
@ddebetta looking at date codes, fronts are 2014, rears are 2011.
To go along with the question about the exhaust "looking" like it has more than 5k worth of driving on it, the rear tires are past the wear bars. Can you please explain this. Thank you.

Nice Cayman R and the CF seats are icing on the cake! Any history of track use? Also, there is a fair amount of corrosion on the exhaust components for 5 K miles; any winter/snow use?
