The first-generation Porsche Cayman was updated to the 987.2 version for the 2009 model year featuring a more powerful engine, revised styling, and the option of a new 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. This 2012 Porsche Cayman is finished in Platinum Silver Metallic over Sand Beige upholstery and features an optional 7-speed PDK transmission, 18” Boxster S II wheels, heated seats, automatic climate control, and the Sound Package Plus. Recently imported from Canada to the United States, this Cayman is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with less than 31k miles showing on the odometer.
A progression of the Cayman’s original design, the updated 987.2 version received new headlights, taillights, and a revised front and rear fascia. This 2012 example is finished in Platinum Silver Metallic and rides on optional 18" Boxster S II wheels with colored Porsche-crested center caps and new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Inozetek vinyl accents have been applied, including gloss black and Mystichrome stripes, mirrors, and rear spoiler details, along with smoked taillight lenses. The seller adds that Madd Wraps South Florida has performed a full paint correction and NGC Nano Graphite ceramic coating. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted by Sand Beige standard leather upholstery. Optional equipment includes heated seats, automatic climate control, and the Sound Package Plus. Standard amenities include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, power windows, Bluetooth connectivity, and heated mirrors.
A mid-mounted 2.9-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 265 HP and 221 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 7-speed PDK transmission. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) is equipped as well as four-piston brakes paired with cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The seller adds that service has been performed by Mark Motors Porsche in Ottowa, Ontario, as shown on the CARFAX report.
This example is offered with a Canadian registration.
The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for visiting our auction of this pristine 2012 Porsche Cayman. I purchased this Cayman from its original owner last month. I was told she routinely had the car serviced at her local Porsche dealer and used it as her summer car. It was garage-kept, and that’s apparent by the lack of defects in the clear coat and lack of UV damage to the interior. This is a very clean example of a 2012 Cayman, and it is awesome to drive. Our friends at Madd Wraps did a full paint correction, along with an NGC Nano Graphene ceramic coating, making the Platinum Silver Metallic really pop. The stripes, mirror caps, and rear spoiler are finished in Inozetek wrap (gloss black / unicorn). The rear taillights have also been smoked with Inozetek wrap. All aspects of the interior are very clean. The car is mechanically completely stock and comes with a set of brand-new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. We're sure the next owner will love this Cayman as much as we have. Thanks for bidding!”

@Fritsie Yeah saw that too, since I've received the car it hasn't had any lights pop up. Whatever it was, they must've fixed it. We've put some miles on it and haven't had anything come up
Coming up on the last 24hrs! Appreciate the interest comments and bids, let us know if you have any questions! Thanks everyone
Bid in the amount of $19,872
These are great cars and yours seems to be a fine example although it has no real options
No sport chrono or sport exhaust only the sound system
I think it was well sold on BAT but I’m guessing now that you have probably put over $5k into the car since you acquired it that your reserve will be significantly higher than market value for a base cayman - trying to flip a car that’s not really flippable!
I’m hesitant to bid as a result even though I like what you did to it
@AutoAlchemy From the previous BAT listing it sounds like there was a dash light(s) light on. What was the the issue? Thanks.
@Fritsie Yes it is!
Is the Cayman titled in the U.S.? Thanks.
Here's a exterior & interior walk around, startup, and short drive video!

Yeah, that was us - bought it, imported it from Canada and all that entails, then we did a full paint correction, ceramic coating, and the wrap!
Curious as I saw this car sell on BAT last August for $25,800
Are you the one who purchased it? Assume you had to pay some fees to import and to change the look of the car with the wrap
Any comments ? Thanks
