Now available is this 2012 Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over a Black leather interior with Alcantara. Representing Porsche’s top of the line Carrera Cabriolet model, this GTS comes factory equipped with center-lock RS-Spyder wheels, Sport Exhaust and a 3.8 L flat-six engine rated at 408 HP. Showcasing optional Sport Seats with painted backrests, carbon fiber doorsills and a 6-speed manual transmission which sends power to all four wheels, this beautifully configured 2012 example is now being offered by its seller in New York with just 23k miles showing on the odometer.
The Meteor Grey Metallic finish is shown to be in outstanding overall condition with full ceramic coating and paint protection film applied over the hood, front bumper and partial front fenders. A small piece of the GTS rear lettering is missing and some very minor imperfections in the finish on the wheels have been noted (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings). This GTS features the widened fenders of the Turbo model as well as a distinctive red light band spanning the rear decklid. Under previous ownership, the factory 19” center lock RS Spyder wheels were professionally powder coated in Bronze and fitted with red center lugs. These wheels may be easily reverted to their original look should the next owner choose to do so.
The cabin is appointed in Black leather and Alcantara with deviated stitching in silver. With an original window sticker totaling over $129k, exclusive details include painted hardback Sport Seats and doorsill guards in carbon fiber. Amenities include the Bose Surround Sound System, Bi-Xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), navigation module, Sirius XM satellite radio tuner, Sport Chrono Package Plus and heated front seats. The power operated cabriolet top is said to be in excellent working order along with all other accessories.
This GTS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8 L flat-six engine which is rated at 408 HP, a 23 HP increase over the standard Carrera S engine. All four wheels are driven through a desirable 6-speed manual transmission providing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.2 seconds. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus is equipped from the factory along with Sport Exhaust and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard. All routine service is reportedly up to date and a clean Carfax report is available for reference within the photo gallery.
The sale of this Cabriolet will include a set of 2 keys, the original books and window sticker, a clean title and the original Porsche wind deflector. Do not miss out on your opportunity to own this sought after 6-speed Carrera 4 GTS.

Hey all, I just left a shop, they did a DME report and It will be uploaded shortly.
Hello. In effort to accommodate the bidders, the seller was unable to get a Porsche dealership to provide an appointment with such short notice.
The seller managed to get a DME report from a local mechanic who has a Autel Maxisys Scanner and that report has been added to the gallery.
The seller also noted that he took extreme care when driving this car and assured that it was never abused. All should bid with confidence.

@KT997 Yes the centerlock tool is in the truck. Not sure what color they were originally.

Great looking vehicle. What color were the wheels originally? Do you have the necessary tool to remove the center locks?

Do you know age and condition of tires? Any idea the manufacture date codes are on each tire?

It’s a report of engine “over-revs” which typically happens from missed shifts. Doug from Switchcars did a corny but informative video on this topic. Important info for the Porsche aficionado since the DME results can affect the cars value.

@joebatters Ok, I did not know that, I assumed it was a Porsche thing. Apologies. The car is immaculate. Sorry I didn’t get this done but I just won’t have time now as I’m already at work and won’t be back before the auction is over. Just for curiosity, what is a DME report.
@IRL_Bren Any shop can do it ... they plug a pc into the odb port and that's it.
@joebatters Ok Joe, that’s grand. I cannot get to Manhattan Motor Cars tomorrow, which is the only place I would consider going. Definitely sorry to lose you as a bidder.
I forgot to ask about the DME too ... it will take the dealer or indy shop about 5 minutes to run a report.
I was planning on bidding but may hold off due to no DME report.
Bid in the amount of $35,000
@fayraree Hey, I have never had a DME done, not sure what it is actually. Yes, part of the G came off one day while I was washing it. Meant to replace but just didn’t get around to getting it done.
DME report on over revs available? Also is part of the “G” on the “GTS” emblem in the back broken off?
@ACSATCO Hey Adam, thanks for chiming in, such a small world that we came into contact over the car. Be well, we'll talk soon.
Hello all..............Just wanted to chime in.............This was originally my car. It was absolutely perfect the entire time i owned it and down to the day i traded it in, which was a huge mistake. If i had room id buy it again. the painted seatbacks and CF sills really make it pop. GL to the seller and congrats to the next buyer!

@PapaFrank @PapaFrank, sorry I just realized I missed this message coming in. I took the car up to Thompson Speedway for a few hours. Just for a spin around it on an open day. Nothing crazy.
@xtrosity additional pictures have been added that show it was just an illusion. The roof seam is perfect. Thanks
@xtrosity Hey, I seen that and investigated. It’s actually perfect. It’s water. The car was washed moments before. I’ll take another picture and have it added. There is no tear of any kind.
Beautiful car. Is the fabric at the leading edge of the convertible roof peeled off or missing? Any idea how that happened? Does it compromise the integrity and water seal of the roof?
@Metzmart @joebatters
Additional pictures have been added.

@joebatters Mixed you up, sorry. Double checked. No burn. Was just a coffee mark and it came off instantly. It just showed funny in the original picture. New pictures with it clean to follow.
To PapaFrank & Metzmart
I checked and there is no cigarette burn, it was coffee, came right off.
Front and back bumpers are clean.
Phones to follow, I took them, but have asked PCARMarket to add them. Thanks
@joebatters @joebatters, just checked the picture, I think that’s a coffee splash that shows funny on the camera. I’ll verify in the next twenty minutes and get back to you. But I’m a 100% certain it’s not a burn.
@joebatters Definitely not a smoker, run marathons actually. I’d say there was never a cigarette smoked in this car. The Alcantara means it’s swayed leather, so it can look different from any angle and after every touch.
Bid in the amount of $18,000
Interested in car but have a question.
Was this a smoker's car?
If you zoom in on the center console it looks like there is a cigarette burn in the plastic to the upper right of the stick shift.
Also, looks like console around the controls have ash spread around. Maybe just artifacts but doesn't look like it.
@Metzmart It was my first Porsche, truly an excellent car. Won’t be my last. If you know of Shannon, lol, you were definitely there. I spent many a cold morning in that airport too.
@IRL_Bren Thank you for the reply. If all 23k miles are road miles, I'm sure it's all good. Any track time you know of? I bought my Targa 4S from MMC. Solid service group there. Then I drove it back to Texas from NYC. fun fall drive.
@IRL_Bren thanks, I’m a first time Porsche buyer after having many Corvettes, muscle cars etc. Really appreciate well built fine automobiles. Had the pleasure of visiting Shannon and Dublin during my career, cheers!
@PapaFrank Hey Papafrank, all service was done by the original owner at Manhattan Motor Cars, and the second owner was a dealer that just had for a short time, I’m the third owner, I’ve only put about 3000 miles on the car, and I recently had it serviced again at MMC’s. As far as I know, brakes and clutch are original but still in good shape. The clutch should be absolutely perfect. I drove manual all my life in Ireland so it was treated well during my time.
@Metzmart Hey there, I noticed that in the pictures also, what looked to be a couple of marks that were actually water. I think there aren’t any noticeable paint imperfections, but I’ll take it out of the garage tomorrow and take a few more pictures of the front and rear paint.
handsome GTS. Any more service records available, particularly clutch or brakes? Likewise, is a DME report on overrev's available? Thank you. GLWTA
Very unique, sharp car. Could you describe or add photos of any defects in paint? It is difficult to tell from photos especially regarding front and rear facias as it is wet and reflections from parking area. Thank you
