Debuted as Porsche’s flagship 911 and the brand’s fastest production car to date, the 997.2 Turbo S features a 530 HP twin-turbocharged flat-six engine paired with a 7-speed PDK transmission and comes standard with the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and center-lock wheels. This 2012 example is finished Basalt Black Metallic over a Black full leather interior. It was sold new from Pfaff Porsche of Vaughan, Ontario, and has seen multiple owners throughout history, all of which were Pfaff clients. The car was fitted with an upgraded Bilstein PSS10 coilover suspension and Europipe exhaust system in 2014, and received an engine rebuild with a new short block by Pfaff Tuning in 2022. Showing approximately 24k kilometers (15k miles) on the odometer, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.

This 997.2 features Turbo-specific bodywork including wide fenders with side air intakes, a front bumper with large radiator grilles, a vented rear bumper, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. This example is finished in Basalt Black Metallic with matching 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels and contrasting yellow brake calipers. Other equipment includes dual exhaust outlets, LED taillights and daytime running lights, front fog lights, bi-xenon headlamps, a lower front spoiler, an electric sunroof, and optional rear ParkAssist sensors. New Pirelli P Zero tires were mounted in 2023 and the car’s exterior is described to be very well preserved. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Turbo S features a Black full leather interior with a matching Alcantara headliner, deviated silver stitching, heated power Sport Seats, and a three-spoke Sport steering wheel. Accessories include an optional fire extinguisher mounted below the passenger seat, a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial on the dashboard, automatic climate control, cruise control, driver’s seat memory, a Bose sound system, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation. All accessories and electronics are said to be fully functional.

This Turbo S is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine rated at 530 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque stock. All four wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission which provides acceleration from 0-60 MPH in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of over 200 MPH. Standard equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with an automatic brake differential (ABD). This example was also upgraded with Bilstein PSS10 coilovers and a Europipe exhaust system in 2014. The seller adds that an engine rebuild was completed with a new short block by Pfaff Tuning in 2022 due to bore score in one cylinder. A complete service history is said to be available.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, a battery charger, service records, and a clean title.

@Blkwd, Unfortunately we don’t have any warranties on any of our used cars outside of the manufacture warranty. However we have never had any issues where we haven’t had our clients back when it comes to issues post delivery. The car is presented as is but still a very true to the mileage example of a 997 Turbo S. Whoever will win this car is taken home a honest and true low mileage 997.2 Turbo S!

    Good luck all!!!

No warranty on a $36k engine rebuild from 12 months ago? That's a little disconcerting

  • reserve416 (seller) 12 monthsago

@jploflin, PASM does not work with PSS10's

Does the PASM button still work (to make the suspension harder/softer), i.e. is the "upgraded Bilstein PSS10 coilover suspension" compatible with the PASM button?

  • The914 (registered bidder) 12 monthsago

I just had a Harley-Davidson motorcycle shipped from Arizona USA to Ontario Canada by TFX International for a cost of $1,990CAD, fuel surcharge $191CAD, Broker Fee $295CAD, plus taxes as a Canadian. The service this firm provides is second to none! They are shipping exotic vehicles throughout North America and look after the border crossing - you won’t be disappointed.
I have been dealing with this Dealer, Pfaff Porsche, since the ‘70’s regarding my Porsche, and I believe they are an exemplary example of valued partnership during your Porsche ownership. I am not a bidder and have no financial interest in this beautiful automobile, but I hope my comments may help someone who is undecided in their bidding at this late juncture.

    Good afternoon all,

Pcar has now uploaded all documentation that we have including the service records that many have been requesting. Please flip through the gallery to see.

    Thanks!

  • reserve416 (seller) 1 yearago

@remoorejr No, we could not determine what the root cause was. Our hunch was a faulty oil jet but it cannot be confirmed.

  • remoorejr (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Odd to hear about bore scoring in a turbo. Was the root cause determined?

  • reserve416 (seller) 1 yearago

@GT37148, good point not sure why the records weren't uploaded from the launch. Pcar has them and will be uploading shortly!

  • reserve416 (seller) 1 yearago

@Imthedecidah, sorry that it may not have been clarified but, YES this car is eligible to go into the US. It will be subject to 2.5% duties on entry. Additionally, there will be transportation costs to get it across the border. THE BUYER will need a letter of compliance from Porsche NA. This can be obtained only by the end user (they will need your personal info if you are not an existing Porsche owner) and it does not cost anything to get.

    Cheers

'...All service records including this are accompanied with the sale...' Typically, the service records would be included as part of the documentation accompanying an auction. In this case, where there has been an engine rebuild within the first 23,475 kms, perhaps that would help to put some minds at ease. As a minimum it could provide prospective bidders/buyers with some indication of what they may expect should another engine rebuild be necessary in the future.

  • Imthedecidah (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@reserve416 — save yourself the time suck. Figure out the cost to import this to USA and whether or not YOU can get it done… Then offer that SERVICE as a COST PLUS item. Cut out all the flack from non-buyers and get to the point of selling a desirable TTS - 80% of the chippers here have no clue - this is not a collectable car, its not special enough to hoard in your garage. IT IS MEANT TO DRIVE!! - This TTS is however a MFing beast of a drive and your’s in in the 10/10th combo… GLWA!

  • reserve416 (seller) 1 yearago

@Wuliangye In order to register the car in the US, you will need a Letter of Compliance from Porsche NA which specifies that this car meets safety and emission regulations. All it takes is a phone call to get from the buyer (there’s no charge for it).

  • reserve416 (seller) 1 yearago

@ rbrunson No there is no warranty with the engine work. However, we have put approx. 3500km since then to ensure the engine is running properly.

  • Wuliangye (registered bidder) 1 yearago

-you will need a letter of compliance from Porsche NA. Could you explain this please.

  • rbrunson (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Is there any warranty on the engine rebuild?

  • reserve416 (seller) 1 yearago

@Jpara98, We're no strangers here to low mileage ownerships. Considering we only get to drive them for half the year at best, many of our clients often only get to put a couple hundred-thousand kilometers a year.

The US carfax shows 8 owners but that does not take into account dealers licensing. Based on our Ontario provincial history report, it shows a total of 5 private owners.

It was not until the last owner who experienced knocking from the engine which we ended up diagnosing as a single scored cylinder. So of course, we tore it apart to repair which meant rebuilding the motor with a new short block. Approx. a year/ 3500km have been added to it since. All service records including this are accompanied with the sale.

Good morning everyone, welcome to our latest auction!

We present the very rare low mileage 997 Turbo S. This example being one that is close to our hearts as it was purchased originally from Pfaff Porsche and looked after by Pfaff Tuning throughout the years. Its previous caretakers have all been existing Pfaff clients, who are all Porsche enthusiasts. The car has complete service history up until this year, all records will accompany the sale including the engine rebuild which was completed at Pfaff Tuning in 2022. Its an absolute rocket!
