Up for auction is this one-owner 2012 Porsche 997.2 Carrera GTS Coupe finished in GT Silver Metallic over a black interior with leather seats. Intended to bridge the gap between the 997 Carrera S and GT3, the GTS model offers wider bodywork, center-lock wheels, an uprated 3.8L flat-six engine, and a host of desirable factory features including Porsche Sports Exhaust and PASM suspension. This 2012 example was configured at an original cost of over $120k and comes optioned with a limited-slip differential, a 7-speed PDK transmission, Sport Chrono Package Plus, painted exterior details, clear taillights, and the Interior Package in Carbon. Highlighting a clean one-owner history on CARFAX while showing just over 3k miles on the odometer, this GTS is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Connecticut.
This 997.2 is finished in GT Silver Metallic and shares its wider bodywork with the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 model. It features side model designations in black as well as Exclusive factory options including clear taillights and painted side skirts, front spoiler lip, and headlight cleaner covers. Other optional features include lower rear panels and front intake grilles painted in the exterior color and Bi-Xenon headlights w/ PDLS. Clear paint protection film has been applied over the partial front end and the seller notes the car to have been garage-kept throughout its entire life, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. This GTS rides on factory 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels finished in black with silver outer lips. The black interior features 12-way power Comfort Seats in leather and has been specified with deletion of the Alcantara Package. The 997.2 GTS carries a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine that has been factory tuned to achieve a higher output of 408 HP, compared with the standard Carrera S output of 385 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission with an optional limited-slip rear differential lock. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achieved in as little as 4.3 seconds with a top speed of nearly 190 MPH. Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE) and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) are equipped as standard and the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus adds a launch control function while allowing the driver to select different performance settings while underway. CARFAX shows some history of dealer maintenance including the last documented service by Hoffman Porsche in 2016 at 2,632 miles. Images of the underside are provided in the photo gallery.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals, window sticker, a Porsche Tequipment car cover, battery charger, and a clean title. Buyers in Connecticut will be subject to state sales tax. @TARGA991.2 We did a visual inspection of the car and found it to be like new. The oil is clean having just been changed. The person who takes care of my Porsches inspected the vehicle and prepared it for this site. The GTS was a gift from the previous owners wife. He has numerous Porsches and he took amazing care of this car. I was approached by the owner to acquire a wonderful 88 930 I owned and this car was part of the deal. The car can be seen if you would like.
