Porsche’s fastest production car ever at the time of its debut, the Turbo S was the flagship of the 997.2 generation featuring ceramic composite brakes, center-lock wheels, and a 3.8-liter engine producing up to 530 HP. This 2012 Cabriolet version comes finished in Dark Blue Metallic over Sand Beige full leather upholstery and showcases optional painted exterior accents, clear taillights, and Adaptive Sport Seats with painted backrests. Currently with its third owner in California, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction with just over 51k miles on the odometer.
This Turbo S comes finished in Dark Blue Metallic including an optional painted exterior package with a matching lower front spoiler and side skirts. The car was also ordered with exclusive clear taillights as well as aluminum-look lower mirror trims. Other equipment includes a matching cabriolet top and factory silver-painted 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels. The Michelin tires are said to have been mounted about three years ago and the finish is described to be in excellent condition showing only a few small imperfections around the headlights. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the cabin is appointed with Sand Beige full leather upholstery including optional leather door sill finishers and painted hardback Adaptive Sport Seats with crested headrests. Other optional features include illuminated door sill guards in stainless steel, Driver Memory, the ParkAssist System, and a SiriusXM satellite radio tuner. An integrated Rennline magnetic phone mount has been fitted along with black carpet floor mats.
A 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine sends up to 530 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is reached in as little as 2.9 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH. The Turbo S also comes standard with the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). The seller states routine oil changes have been completed and that the windshield washer reservoir was replaced under their ownership. The CARFAX report also shows a 30k-mile service completed by a Porsche dealer in 2017.
This sale will include owner's manuals and a clean title.

Sold for $86,000
@CBRacerX , great points. Thank you.
@matthaeus I rest my case. Final price here is 90,300 with fee. It's a very nice example in a great color combo, but has "high miles" and is an automatic (which I see as a plus in the Turbo but the aggregate enthusiast market does not). And it's a convertible, which in the Porsche market makes it worth less (other than a Speedster).
My apologies, I don't mean to assume anything, I just feel this car is worth more.
@matthaeus I agree. I have identical year/mileage TTS Cab & my agreed value policy is for 100K and I worry that's not enough to replace it. I get my numbers from Classic dot com where the average value is $106k for 997.2 TTS Cabriolets, mileage notwithstanding.
@matthaeus hi if interested please don't assume that, this vehicle will be selling to the highest bidder.
Exactly, Porsches are selling much higher than Edmunds values.
Bid in the amount of $86,000
Edmunds is not a reliable source of market data for this segment.
Even when it hits $92,000.00 it still just only meets the average value according to Edmunds. This bid is going to RNM unless some serious bids are made.
Bid in the amount of $85,500
I still see value at this level. This is a lot of car.

A great looking and optioned Turbo S Cab. I don’t think you have hit the Reserve yet. Good luck.
@kurt sorry- meant to state that it was replaced with a new vent with a working tab
Bid in the amount of $55,000
@garrettonthego I tried to take photos that showed all of the flaws. There is a bit of road rash on the plastic in front of the rear wheels. Regular oil changes.
The air angle adjustment tab on the drivers side air vent came off so I had it replaced with a new tab.
Can’t think of any other issues
What other flaws - mechanical or paint or leather - are not disclosed or visible in pictures ? Re regular oil changes and service. Have any hoses or belts been repaired given the 51k miles? Yes I see the washer fluid contained comment.
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@garrettonthego correct
@Bat777 yes, all original
I assume this car is outside of any original or extended warranties?
Bid in the amount of $47,250
Are wheels and rear spoiler and paint original?
@garrettonthego - RE: The tear & abrasion - a good interior reconditioning place should be able to repair and re-dye that area to just about invisible. The indentations...maybe less so, but steam may bring them out. I'm in the business and I'm always amazed what a good interior guy can do. I wouldn't let this stop you from considering an otherwise very nice car. I own one with identical mileage and it feels brand new.
@garrettonthego The leather scratches are near the installation points for the wind screen. It slipped out of my hands when installing it one day and the ends hit the leather
@garrettonthego oil changes & it had a windshield washer fluid leak near the headlight that required some work. Maintenance has been done by All German Auto in Escondido, Ca. They have all records since I purchased the car. Tires are three years old
@kurt 30K service noted . .. what other service has been done most recently given it's 2022 and now 51K miles .. . when were tires last replaced.
re: leather condition - any idea how the leather got so scratched up?
