The updated 997.2 Porsche 911 Turbo was launched for the 2010 model year, featuring a larger twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine and the option of a new 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. Finished in Platinum Silver Metallic over a Black and Stone Grey full leather interior, this 2012 Porsche 997.2 is one of only 1,752 Turbo Cabriolet models produced in total. It was configured at an original sticker price of over $170k, including a 7-speed PDK transmission, Sport Chrono Package Turbo with Dynamic Engine Mounts, 19” 911 Turbo II wheels, bi-xenon headlights with PDLS, heated and ventilated seats, Porsche-crested headrests, a SportDesign steering wheel, extended leather upholstery, Silver Grey seatbelts, an aluminum-look instrument surround, and a gear selector and handbrake lever in aluminum. Acquired by the current owner in 2018, this rare 997.2 Turbo Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Illinois with approximately 82k miles showing on the odometer.

Featuring wide Turbo-specific bodywork with integrated side air intakes, the exterior is finished in Platinum Silver Metallic with a power-operated black convertible top. Equipment includes optional bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), LED taillights and daytime running lights, fog lights, heated power mirrors, rear ParkAssist sensors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, red brake calipers, and optional 19” 911 Turbo II wheels. The CARFAX report shows that minor damage was sustained to the right rear end in 2016, and a subsequent TRUE350 inspection notes very minor damage with cosmetic repairs to the rear end.

The cabin is appointed with premium two-tone Black and Stone Grey full leather upholstery and extended leather covering the center console, steering column casing, and door finishers. Other options include heated and ventilated seats with Porsche-crested headrests, seatbelts in Silver Grey, a three-spoke SportDesign steering wheel with paddle shifters, a leather storage bin lid with an embossed model logo, an aluminum-look instrument surround, a gear selector and handbrake lever in aluminum, and a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch. The car is also equipped with automatic climate control, cruise control, Bose surround sound, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM).

Featuring direct fuel injection, VarioCam Plus variable valve timing, and twin Variable Turbine Geometry turbochargers, the 3.8-liter flat-six engine produces up to 500 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque. It drives all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Standard equipment includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PSM), Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and 13.8” cross-drilled brake discs with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers. This example also features the optional Sport Chrono Package Turbo with Dynamic Engine Mounts and an aftermarket exhaust system. The seller states that an aftermarket exhaust system has been installed, and standard maintenance has been performed during their ownership, including routine oil, tire, and brake replacements.
