The updated 997.2 version of Porsche’s flagship 911 Turbo sports car was introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show with refreshed styling and a larger, more-powerful twin-turbocharged engine as well as the option of a new 7-speed PDK transmission making for one of the quickest cars on the road. This 2012 example comes finished in Black over a matching full leather interior and comes equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package, a limited-slip differential, and painted interior trim along with a SportDesign steering wheel, exclusive painted wheels, and seats with Porsche-crested headrests. It was sold by its original owner on PCARMARKET in 2021 and was recently relisted for auction in 2023, although the buyer was unable to complete the transaction. This Turbo Coupe is being offered for auction once again by its seller out of Missouri while showing approximately 9k miles on the odometer.
This Turbo is presented in Basalt Black Metallic with a black cabriolet roof and 19” 911 Turbo II wheels in an optional body-colored finish. The wide bodywork includes Turbo-specific bumpers, integrated side air intakes, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. Noted imperfections include some small chips on the hood and blemishes on the left rear bumper. Clear paint protection film is also applied over the rear quarter panels. The seller states that the vehicle sustained front-end damage while under the second owner’s care in July 2022 at 8,028 miles which resulted in a CARFAX damage report and a salvage title. The seller notes that all necessary repairs have been carried out to restore the car to its original condition including a front left strut, knuckle, tie rod, control arms, wheel, and radiator. The seller adds that the car is fully aligned and there is no frame/unibody damage present. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report and a recent third-party repair assessment.
Inside, the driver is greeted by a Black full leather interior featuring heated and ventilated front seats with exclusive Porsche-crested headrests, an optional SportDesign steering wheel, and a painted trim strip and rear center console. Some signs of wear are noted on the handbrake lever as well as a small chip on the center console. The seller adds that the original batteries in the tire pressure sensors have died and the TPMS light is present on the dashboard.
Up to 500 HP and 480 lb.-ft of torque comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine that drives all four wheels by way of a 7-speed PDK transmission with an optional limited-slip rear differential. Equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package including Dynamic Engine Mounts, the 997.2 Turbo can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 3.2 seconds. The transmission was reportedly replaced under the previous owner’s care at 3,441 miles. Services were completed by Greenwich Porsche including a complete cooling system flush, brake fluid exchange, an oil and filter replacement, and a new battery in February 2023.
The sale will include the owner’s manuals along with a collection of records and a “prior salvage” title. The original window sticker is not included.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for watching my auction. I purchased this car to replace my 2009 non-turbo. I performed the repairs personally in my shop and used only Porsche parts. The car is in factory condition and drives, shifts, and presents itself very well. It is just too nice to make my daily driver and have decided to keep my '09. I did my best to provide a thorough description of the repair. Please let me know if you have questions or need more details which I am happy to provide.”

Can you post pic of the “rebuilt title”? Thank you.
Bid in the amount of $24,000
Yes title is ready to license. Top and tail work fine. I will upload a video of top when I get to office.
Nice repair and good looking car. I recently sold my 05 and am missing it. I would just like to confirm that you have a clear but branded MO title in hand that I will be able to transfer to PA? Also, my understanding is that a new set of tires and batteries for the wheel sensors is essentially all that would be necessary to get the car inspected and back on the road with no lights on the dash. Have you had any issues with the power top or rear wing power? Thank you.

@fjthomas427 Yes the original wheel that was bent was replaced. It was not the AC compressor but the condenser which mounts right in front of the radiator. This was replaced as a whole assembly, which is considered the cooling pod. This has the fan the radiator the AC condenser and the brackets all as one assembly. As far as the PPI report, it is one large PDF file which I’m not sure I can upload so I converted the first nine pages to images and attached those which you will see toward the end of the photo gallery. The remainder of the photos were simply a bunch of photos of the car taken by the gentlemen that performed the inspection and test drives.
The wheel (rim) that was damaged, was that replaced? Was the damaged a/c Compressor replaced? Finally, how do I view the PPI report....or did I somehow miss it? Are the tire original to the vehicle? Thank you in advance for your efforts.
Thank you carwiz and kmracing for the bids.
I thought I would describe the repairs as this did not make it into the add. As seen in the photos, the bumper and fender had been removed. Front aluminum impact bumper and foam was untouched. Tub, shock tower and inner fender area completely untouched. Plastic radiator was cracked and AC condenser damaged. Left strut bent and wheel bent slightly. I replaced cooling pod, knuckle, wheel, strut, control arms and tie rod. Had alignment done and confirmed with shop that full adjustment was available, confirming no frame or structure issues. Fender and bumper fit well with full adjustment available to align. I had paint matched perfectly and only painted bumper and fender, no blending onto adjacent panels. I planned on replacing wheels and tires so did not put new rubber on, leaving that to new owner.

@Aquaboy2u The report was a large PDF, I just added the first 9 pages, the remaining were just more pics of car. I will add pics I took the day the car was delivered. Bumper and fender were removed already.

I am not seeing the third party repair assessment, am I missing it? Any pics of the vehicle prior to the repair?
@Lymer I spoke to the PO and all he said is out of the blue, the transmission went into a limp mode and the CEL came on. If you read the service doc related to this it gives pretty good detail, better than I expected. To me its good it was replaced as I can only assume it then received the latest version with any and all updates etc., along with brand new internals as opposed to being repaired.
Thank you carwiz for getting the auction started off.
Morning,
I’m interested in knowledge why the transmission had to be replaced at such low mileage?

I am loading cold start, and some running driving and shifting videos. A 3rd party PPI report should be here by this evening. Let me know if there are any other videos you want to see. Thanks
Hello and welcome to the auction. I will be adding cold start and driving videos today. I am also having a 3rd party inspection performed today at noon. I will be available throughout the auction and look forward to any and all questions.
