This 2012 Porsche 991 Carrera S Coupe was a designated launch vehicle, finished in non-metallic Black over a Black interior and featuring a 7-speed PDK transmission paired with its 3.8-liter engine. At an original sticker price over $111k, this 991 was also optioned with an electric sunroof, Power Steering Plus, the Bose Surround Sound System, the Premium Package, the Light Design Package, and more. A lifelong California car, this example is now being offered by its seller with approximately 75k miles on the odometer.

This Coupe is finished in non-metallic Black and rides on 20” Carrera S wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires from 2021. European-style clear side marker lenses have been installed and the seller adds that this vehicle has been garage-stored with paint protection film has been applied to the front end, in front of the rear wheel arches, and door handles. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery, and the CARFAX report shows damage sustained in 2013.

The interior features black leather upholstery and 14-way Power Sport Seats. The optional Premium Package adds heated seats, auto-dimming mirrors, adaptive xenon headlights, and headlight washers. Additional options include an electric sunroof, electric folding mirrors, a multi-function steering wheel, the Light Design Package, the Bose Surround Sound System, and automatic climate control.

Marking the last Carrera generation to feature a naturally aspirated engine, this 991 Carrera S houses a 3.8-liter flat-six producing up to 400 HP and 325 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission providing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds. Power Steering Plus came optioned from the factory. An aftermarket exhaust system and intake have been installed, and the seller believes the suspension to have been lowered under previous ownership. The seller adds that this example passed a multipoint inspection at Beverly Hills Porsche in California in August of 2022, as shown in the gallery along with a CARFAX report with service records dating back to 2012.

This sale will include a clean title and a car cover.

    @Chrisalandaniels Seller: what damage?

  • Chrisalandaniels 1 year, 11 monthsago

    I don’t see the damage photos…

    Sellar: the top of one of the door panels separated recently and Porsche replaced it for free, the other fine. Never heard of the valve issue (never had an issue) from either the dealer nor independent repair, and no recommended preemptive strike

    I’m very familiar with the early 991 cars. They have a couple of issues. One is that the tops of the door panels separate. This car appears to be affected. The second is the early design COV (change over valve) the vacuum operated valves that control the exhaust, water flow for cooling and HVAC, 8 in total IIRC. The Carfax does not reference that these valves have been changed. They should be. Porsche is now on their 4th redesign of the valves and the latest have seemed to solve the issues.

    I had a 991 exactly like this one. Only car my wife complained about me selling

    Seller: no adjustments to front camber. Never tracked.

  • Merlinextralight (registered bidder) 1 year, 11 monthsago

    Have done anything to adjust the front camber for the cup tires?

    I had that exact same launch edition 991s. With the camber adjustment available, you can’t get enough negative camber to avoid chewing those tires in the track.

    Adjustable GT3 control arms solves the problem.
